I hope I did ok with the title (thanks for the inspiration Emwithme). I felt a bit lost without a thread to post on so I thought I'd have a bash at it.

Hi girls wondering if I can join you all. So sorry we are all here. I have been reading your posts for the last few weeks. Sadly had a mmc which was discovered at my 12 week scan. Had a heartbeat at 8w2d. Had an erpc two days after my 12 week scan. That was 4 weeks ago. Last week my consultant called and said the histology showed a suspected partial molar pregnancy and I am now going back into the hospital for weekly bloods. Hcg is 11 this week. So there will be no af until hcg returns to normal. Feels like the longest 4 weeks of my life. Physically it's been really tough. Pregnancy symptoms only dissipating this week due to high hcg. Anyway that's me and hopefully I can join you all. X

DancingUnicorn · 04/05/2017 08:21

So sorry you have to be here chugalina. It's really horrible, and must be worrying to find out about molar. I'm still pretty new here, but these ladies have been amazing!

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 11:01

So sorry for your loss Chugalina, I had a very similar experience in November.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 11:09

Af was normal yesterday, medium heaviness and really sore back but so far so normal.

Today I'm passing massive chunks of black stuff and bright red blood is literally pouring out of me. I had a tampon in and a pad on and I was at my desk just feeling everything soak. Went to the loo and sat there watching everything fall out of me going "oh god, what the hell is it, oh god". Nearly threw up. The pain is better now so that's something.

It's way more tissue/stuff than my last miscarriage. What the hell is going on? Had a bfn a couple of days ago so I don't think it's another one.

Got a driving lesson in an hour and not sure how not to bleed all over the car seat Sad Feeling pretty shit.

Miami81 · 04/05/2017 11:26

Oh anne
That sounds awful. No way you should be losing that much blood! Please try and speak to a health care professional (nhs24 or something)? I think given you have a relatively complicated obstetric history hopefully someone can see you today.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 04/05/2017 11:29

Oh Anne I hope you are ok? I agree that you should see someone about this, is that twice now that you've had really heavy periods that aren't like your usual cycle?

MulderitsmeX · 04/05/2017 11:29

Thanks halloumi it sucks that I can make babies fine but it's the keeping them in there!!

Oh anne that sounds horrible - can you cancel it without having to pay or just do half maybe? If you're still bleeding that heavily at work go home and drink lots of fluids. I don't really know what that could mean, maybe it's old lining that needed shedding - can you get a Dr appointment to check?

AmyL88 · 04/05/2017 11:35

@Chugalina Sorry you find yourself here, but as others say we are a friendly bunch. Your experience sounds very much like mine. My AF returned after 10 weeks of my ERPC so go easy on yourself. x

@Anne that doesnt sound good. Deffo take it easy and get checked out. When was your last MC?

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 11:42

I've cancelled it, feeling really dizzy and pukey but it's probably psychological! Bless him, he sounded relieved to have an hour off.

I hadn't thought about calling anyone but it might be worth it. What would they do or say? Debating going home anyway.

Last MC was Feb Amy and I've had two cycles since, one normal and last month was very odd - super heavy bright red blood for 2 days, some clots on the morning after and then it was over.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 04/05/2017 12:59

Chugalina sorry you find yourself here too, I know what you mean about it feeling like a long 4 weeks! I've just got af back after my ERPC which was 5 weeks ago, so hopefully yours will be on the way soon.

@Anne if you're soaking through a pad an hour you should get an appt with your GP for today or go to A&E. I don't want to alarm you and It's probably Ok but there was a thread on here a few months ago where the poster was bleeding really heavily and was really, really ill with it and had to stay in hospital for a few days.

Jauncornetto · 04/05/2017 13:03

Hi Chugalina sorry to see you here, I hope it all settles down for you very quickly.

DancingUnicorn · 04/05/2017 13:08

Anne bless you, that sounds grim. You're really being put through your paces. Definitely go home from work, and look after yourself. Also if you're still bleeding that heavily I'd ring 111 or try to get an emergency GP appointment. Can't be good to lose so much blood. Hope you're feeling better soon. Will stop feeling sorry for myself with slightly heavier than normal first af!

MulderitsmeX · 04/05/2017 13:15

Hope the blood calms down a bit soon anne

So I just spoke to the rmc at st Mary's and the appointment will be 8-9 weeks away!!! Do people normally ttc during this time? Super stressed now as I wanted to ttc as quickly as possible argh!!

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 13:23

I spoke to the GP and asked if the aspirin might be making the bleeding worse and she said maybe. Only occurred to me a bit ago. She said it's not normal to lose so much so quickly so she's putting me on tranexamic acid, which will lesson the flow. I've had it in the past for periods.

She said the chunks are due to the speed of the blood loss so whatever hormone it is that liquefies the blood when you're on isn't having time to do it so the lining comes out in big blobs. Sort of makes sense.

In a not dismissive way she said the recent frequency of pregnancies and mcs might just have thrown everything a bit whacky, which I know in my head, but she said whatever the cause the amount isn't right so to hope the pills work and just keep an eye especially as I could end up anaemic if it's loads for days.

She was super nice. My recent bloods, scans and smear results are all clear so she wasn't worried it's anything bad.

Thanks for being so supportive and caring. I'm going to stick it out at work. Feeling faint but not in much pain and it's definitely lessened off a bit. May as well keep busy!

Not alarming me Jauncornetto x What was the matter with the other poster, was it a period or something else?

Sorry you're having a rough one Dancing, and it's not a competition! Look after yourself too x

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 13:26

Mulder, we were told to crack on if we felt ready. But none of the tests I had were dependent on not being pregnant. I think miami had some which were?

I was just told that if I conceived before the first appointment, which was 7 weeks post MMC, to call them immediately and they'd see me in a day.

It's early days since your last loss so I guess the normal rules apply. Wait for a bfn, see how you feel, and if you're both happy to crack on then go for it. You could call them and ask but mine said it was up to me.

We trifled with the idea that as we had been referred we didn't want to waste it by getting pregnant again, doing nothing differently and then losing the time having another loss. I wasn't pregnant at the first appointment but was by the next one, 4 weeks later, and they were super on it with blood tests and stuff. It's unbelievably shit to have multiple losses but there's something to be said for being in the system. I really hope they can help you x

NoParticularPattern · 04/05/2017 13:40

Hi ladies! I think I was on the previous thread but potentially changed names in that time or it could have been the thread before so I shall start again!

We had a MC in July 2016 at 9-10 weeks after somehow managing the fastest conception post-coil known to man. We haven't really tried since then as I had a lot of very short cycles (I know someone up thread mentioned this) which then went to 40 day cycles for whatever reason. Seem to be back on track at 26-30 days so fingers crossed everything has sorted itself out now. We are also getting married in July so said we would wait until now to start trying again. It absolutely killed me to go past our due date with absolute certainty that I wasn't going to be pregnant, but I think we both really needed that time to get our heads together.

I'm currently CD 9 and clue reckons around a week for ovulation (and it's usually quite spot on!) so watch this space. I'm not going to do any OPKs this time as previously they seriously wound me up and I eventually only used them to know when I'd ovulated so I could keep track of my cycles. I'm not planning to test before AF at all- my hen do is early June so I will test before that if I've not come on, but I'm trying to make this a lot less stressful than I made it for us last time!

Crap we are all here, but making the best of it and all that!

MulderitsmeX · 04/05/2017 14:05

Glad it's easing off anne and good to hear the doctor doesnt think its abyrhing serious.

Just rang the RMC and they said I have to cancel my appointment if I'm preggo, so going to try this month and not next which is a fair compromise. Have enquired about prices to do it privately also.

Hi noparticular - what are you doing for your hen? Hoping that sods law comes into play and you get a bfp even if it means no champs!

Miami81 · 04/05/2017 14:16

Mulder
My understanding is that st Mary's focus on blood issues, which is why not ideal to have pregnancy hormone running around in there (if that makes sense) as it can skew the results. We didn't ttc whilst we were waiting for rmc, mainly as Anne says we decided we would feel awful if there was something easily fixable and we had cracked on and gone through another unnecessary miscarriage. There seems to be so little in common with all the rmc's. it is a bit nuts.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 14:17

Good work for checking Mulder and I think that's a good compromise. I know it didn't work out longer term, but I did conceive the second time incredibly quickly after mc with no af in between. Fx for you.

At my first appointment we went over history and questions, then I had blood taken, and the second one was 4 weeks later when I got the results. He runs a fortnightly clinic so once you conceive you go every other week for a scan and a chat plus any additional tests and reviews of any meds.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/05/2017 14:19

It's nuts, you're right Miami. A complete postcode lottery on pretty much every element.

What involvement are you having with RMC now you're pregnant? Have you been back?

Miami81 · 04/05/2017 14:24

Anne nothing - literally nada. They wrote a letter stating there was nothing to indicate that I wouldn't have a baby at some point in the future and that at 7 weeks gestation I could contact epu for a scan (which I knew anyway because of my history). I honestly feel so let down by them. I have self prescribed aspirin. No one has ever checked other hormone levels. We will go privately somewhere if it happens again, I have no confidence in them at all.

NoParticularPattern · 04/05/2017 14:25

I have no idea what I'm doing for my hen apart from that it's somewhere near Huddersfield!! My mum and sister have organised it so I don't bloody doubt Sod's law will somehow come into play and end up meaning I can't do all sorts! Not that I wouldn't be delighted or else I'd be saying to wait until after my hen haha!

AmyL88 · 04/05/2017 15:07

Glad you are feeling better @Anne go easy on yourself.

I think i'm going to give it a rest with the OPK's now. My body is clearly taking the P*SS. 7 days of very nearly positive IC's and flashing smileys for 5 days so i'm fed up and ruling this month out. Angry I am so desperate for my body to get back to normal and i will need to take out a loan for the cost of the CB's they way im getting through them.

Deffo going to start on the aspirin though listening to you ladies. Do you take it all through the cycle or only after ovulation? (That's if i will ever bloody ovulate!!!)

On another note i am loving this sunshine, just wish i had got my arse into gear in January and lost some weight euugh.

MulderitsmeX · 04/05/2017 15:20

Ah cool! Sounds like you will have a fun time either way and fx that you are joined by a little bean on it!!
