Thread 27. TTC #1 - we're stressed, we're fed up, we're bitter but I promise this will all be worth it when we're holding our precious babies

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Thanks ladies Smile

Not actually sure how it's happened if I'm honest - I think my bleeding of 2 weekends ago was Ov bleeding, and I ov'd later than Ovia guessed, then on Monday / Tuesday had some slight spotting with quite strong lower backache, which I never normally get. I was convinced AF was on her way, but she never appeared.

I cracked & tested on Wednesday and think I got a faint positive then, so did another 2 on Thursday, none with FMU though & same again (though I thought the first 2 were evaps / not actually there, but then it appeared on a 3rd brand), didn't tell DH about those, but did an ic yesterday and again, the line there but faint - DH was unconvinced, but said if it will make you feel better do another tomorrow, so did an FRER this morning & quite a strong positive! No symptoms as such though other than the back ache!

There was nothing particularly different this cycle other than lots of GOS at what looks like the right time - we HS CDs 11, 13, 14 & 16, and think I must have ov'd CD 18 or 19? Confused I have no idea what DPO to be honest - no OPKs or temping!

Slightly shocked but really hoping for a sticky bean Smile

Kaydee2017 · 12/03/2017 15:44

Flash, that's really good. Hope it keeps helping.

Pyjamas, very much thinking of you!

Just checking in to the new thread:
SmittenPears
age: 32
TTC#1
cycle: 2
CD 40!! think I ovulated around CD 34

I've always had longer cycles, but also came off 10 years of the pill in Sept., so I don't know what to attribute this long cycle to. I can report, though, that feeling like you're in the TWW for four weeks is super weird.

SmittenPears · 12/03/2017 17:54

Oh and PS, FF thinks I'm due to test on the 23rd.

Miranda234 · 12/03/2017 18:00

Huge congratulations kaydee!

Sorry for AF kerry Flowers

Glad the b50 complex is working for you flash Smile

AlexiaB · 12/03/2017 18:14

Congratulations Kaydee that is lovely news! Fx for a nice sticky bean and healthy 9 months xx

An anovulatory cycle could be possible Kathrino? Whenever I've had one AF (break through bleed) has been light and pain free. Hopefully not too much longer to wait for you Flowers

Really glad the B complex has worked wonders for you Flash. I swear by it!

Sorry about AF Kerry Flowers glad you're feeling positive and chocolate is always a good choice!

Welcome back kwick, glad you survived last week. Hope your weekend has been nice and relaxing.

Thinking of you pyjamas Flowers

Thanks ladies Grin you're all so supportive, that's why I'm sticking around!!

Fx for you smitten - the pill has a lot to answer for doesn't it?!

AlexiaB · 12/03/2017 18:17

Thanks for the list Jam, can you put me down for April 6th please.

Smitten I hate long cycles! It's such a huge waste of time. Fertility drugs could really help shorten your cycle by making you O earlier. Still keeping my fx for you though!

Congratulations Kaydee, what fantastic news!

Hopefulbunny · 12/03/2017 19:26

Congrats Kaydee!

Jam, can you put me for 1st April please. In a bit of a dillema, should I continue ttc whilst waiting for op? Because there is a slight chance that whilst the op may improve things it could also cause added problems in the short term for example if there was any complications.

Pyjamas81 · 12/03/2017 20:20

Well after hours of talking, we've just about sorted it out. He's very sorry he scared me and realises that his reaction was way over the top. TTC is really getting to him and he feels helpless so feels the only thing he can control is the alcohol - like I said before, he's a logical person and couldn't understand why I would go out and binge drink if I wanted a baby. In his head, it meant I didn't really want one and didn't care how he felt. The rage bubbled over and he was pushed to his limit and that's how it was released - he knows it was wrong and that I don't have an alcohol problem. He realises it was one slip up (I don't like binge drinking either) in nearly a year of watching my drinking and cutting it right down, and realises that not everyone is perfect all the time. He has assured me he will never react that way again ever.

Congratulations kaydee!!!! So happy for some good news on this thread 😀

New AF date for me jam - 4th April

Really hope you get answers soon kath - limbo is the absolute worst ☹️

Early night for me tonight I think - I'm shattered. Still feeling pretty bruised, but I think we'll be closer after laying all our cards on the table.

geeup · 12/03/2017 20:47

Really pleased for you pyjamas.
Kwick - just writing a shopping list for my 2ww after ivf. Please can you post you list for me (pending trademark of course)?!

kwick · 12/03/2017 22:05

Your wish is my command @geeup - here is my "patent pending" list

Kaydee2017 · 13/03/2017 07:11

Glad you & DH are on the mend pyjamas Smile

geeup · 13/03/2017 07:21

Thanks Kwick!

sk1pper · 13/03/2017 07:35

How does one ingest cayenne pepper? Just put it on food or?

Tonks87 · 13/03/2017 07:41

That reminds me, I tried cayenne pepper for the first time ever during the TWW of my BFP. I sprinkled a bit over whatever I had for tea. A bit sprinkled on top of an omelette was nice.

Binkybunny13 · 13/03/2017 07:48

Excellent news pyjamas; hope you had a good rest last night and this is a better week

Thanks kwick 👍

I'm CD37 today and bfn on IC. No surprise. Pretty certain AF going to hit today when I have mental day at work and busy evening. Whoever said cycle 8-12 are particularly sucky, so far I would concur 😭

Londonjam · 13/03/2017 08:23

Hopeful did your doctor advise about that? I'm not sure how fibroids could affect a pregnancy. It's probably best you get professional advice on that one.

Pyjamas so glad to hear he's apologised. Whilst I don't condone his behaviour, I do sympathise where he is coming from re alcohol and control. I feel so out of control with this whole experience and also feel like doing things like not drinking give me a sense of being able to influence things. If my DH went out and got hammered I know I would also accuse him of not caring or not wanting a baby. So your posts have given me food for thought - as clearly you want this more than anything and are muddling your way through as much as he is.

I'm not coping very well at the moment. I feel very sad almost all the time. I think about it constantly and I'm not sleeping very well at all. I'm weepy and sometimes feel like I'm desperately looking for something to feel positive about to stop the horrible low feeling. I can't find much - I'm not even excited about buying our first home or moving in. DH is in denial about it all and doesn't want to listen to my sadness. I don't really know what to do. 😔
