RememberToSmile1980 · 16/05/2016 06:11

Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Thanks for that link Tink.

Welcome Groundhog. My cousin just had a baby and her eldest is 18 Smile

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/05/2016 21:36

That is reassuring.

I wouldn't care but my SIL had her two perfect DCs in her 40's too!

I just need to chill out! 😊

Penguin13 · 23/05/2016 17:39

How is everyone today? Sun is out which is making me smile despite the new healthy diet which is seriously full if quite virtuous -I predict being derailed by day 5 absolute max

Remind me who is in the TWW currently? Anyone fancying their chances this cycle?

Penguin13 · 23/05/2016 17:40

Er that should read dull not full!

RememberToSmile1980 · 23/05/2016 17:45

Hi Penguin
I'm waiting for AF - due today - however I've been known to go up to CD31 as well!

RaRa25 · 23/05/2016 19:10

Was due AF today, no sign yet (fingers crossed) I did test on sat and got BFN but it was a £1 asda one, not sure how accurate it is, so still a little hope...

I read the article as well, really does put it into perspective, thanks *Tink. Although all I seem to see is pregnant women everywhere at the moment.
Right, I've had a shit day at work so going to treat myself to some chocolate.

PrincessPlod · 23/05/2016 19:21

I'm 35 and trying for number 2. Ds is 3.5yrs old and I had a MMC in January 2016. I've been trying ever since but nothing so far. I have a stressful job which is not helping.

I am struggling to come to terms this isn't an instant thing as I fell pregnant with ds and mmc on first cycle. Trying not to obsess about it but of course I am.

Fingerscrossedxx · 23/05/2016 19:29

Hi and welcome to others who have joined. Reassuring to see quite a few of us in the same boat... So we are not alone.

RaRa I've had a shxt day at work too. Work is so stressful that I wonder if that's what delays me from getting a BFP.

Fingers crossed for those waiting for a BFP!

tinkwastaken · 23/05/2016 19:49

I'm in 2ww but not convinced I ovulated this cycle. If I did ov then I'm about 6dpo. I won't test early and I won't symptom spot Hmm

Novinosincebambino · 23/05/2016 20:01

Hi Penguin I'm waiting for AF - probably due on Thursday but who bloody knows these days Wink I get symptoms but then I hastily explain them away so that I don't get my hopes up. Fuller boobs - maybe the pre natal vitamins? Massive thirst - maybe too much salt in my lunch? Peeing every two minutes - just due to massive thirst etc. Etc.

Penguin13 · 23/05/2016 20:31

Fingers crossed Remember. Well CD 42 here and AF has fiiiiiiiiiiiiinally appeared! Never thought I would be so happy to see the witch! Really hope this isn't going to be my new usual cycle length or I might actually go nuts Confused

Welcome Princess. I'm sorry for your loss. Sadly you will be in good company here as quite a few of us have experienced losses too. Hope you will find some good support here while waiting for your new BFP.

RememberToSmile1980 · 23/05/2016 20:38

Hi RaRa
I was naughty and did a cheapo pound test yesterday which was a BFN!
Welcome Princess
I also have been highly stressed due to my job! Also fell pregnant with DS son on the first cycle - he is 4 in July. I understand your frustration. Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm still waiting for AF - I honestly believe she will be here before the end of the week! How is everyone else?
Penguin - glad you got AF - only so you know what is happening and not in limbo now!

Oh fingers crossed for you too Rara, Tink and Novino.

Thanks Remember. Doubly reassured as was feeling a bit 'argh I hate everything'. Now I know why Grin

Shrimpymummy · 23/05/2016 21:37

Fingers crossed to everyone waiting! No idea when my TWW would be, so just waiting, very impatiently. Currently 38 days post ERPC. Harumph.

Thanks for the link yesterday Tink! Very helpful, as this has been something lurking at the back of my mind. This makes me feel a bit better.

RaRa25 · 24/05/2016 17:59

How is everyone today?
Hate this bloody waiting game, still no AF but think it is on its way. Just want to know so I can have a bloody drink! Ah well, chocolate it is for now.

RememberToSmile1980 · 24/05/2016 19:31

Hi ladies
I'm still waiting! Went for an X Ray today and had to tell them I 'might' be pregnant - but felt such a drama queen about it!

OP posts:
Penguin13 · 24/05/2016 21:25

Feel for you ladies properly in the 2ww. I pretty much knew from the get go I was out via the extremely scientific method of 'just knowing' and I still managed to go a bit nuts Blush Fingers crossed for good news soon.

tinkwastaken · 24/05/2016 22:34

I've realised today that AF is going to arrive slap bang in the middle of half term and I promised the kids I'd take them camping. Gross. Starting planning my strategy for next month in anticipation Grin

Novinosincebambino · 24/05/2016 23:36

Hi Remember I cheated today too and took a cheap test-BFN. I thought they were supposed to pick up the tiniest amount of hcg? 10mg I'm sure the pack said.

At least they're all gone now and I'm saving digital for day AF is actually due. Good luck everyone.

Novinosincebambino · 24/05/2016 23:38

Oh and tink I go on holiday the day after AF is due so if it's a BFN I'll be leaving the white swimwear at home Blush

PurpleRibbons · 25/05/2016 17:58

Please can I join you? I'm 36 and have a 2 yo DD. We were lucky with her and conceived straight away but we've been trying since Xmas for no 2 and it's not happening yet. Period just started so I'm feeling a bit miserable!

RaRa25 · 25/05/2016 18:17

Welcome Purple. AF has arrived for me today...so I am stuffing my face with crisps and chocolate and looking forward to a large glass of something lethal on Friday...got to look at the positives! Confused

Penguin13 · 25/05/2016 19:40

Welcome Purple. Sorry to hear AF got you. And you too Rara. Great PMA there Rara. Have had a cheeky glass or two of red myself.

Still mid AF here and teething is still a bloody nightmare so feeling pretty Sad Weeks of seriously broken sleep and no sign of the blighters peeping through . I read somewhere that lack of sleep messes up your hormones making it harder to conceive. If that is true I am totally screwed TTC wise.

Penguin13 · 25/05/2016 19:42

Well penguin. Quite the little ray of sunshine today aren't we? Sorry for being such a negative Nancy! Onwards and upwards.

RaRa25 · 25/05/2016 20:08

Lol Penguin!
Bloody hell- I'll never conceive my DD 3 and a half still wakes up lots in the night.
Confession time...we have a mattress we pull out under her bed and myself and DH take it I turns sleeping in her room. I know, I know we shouldn't be doing it, but honestly, anything for a decent-ish nights sleep!
Hmmmm! Perhaps that's the problem...is it impossible to conceive whilst your other half is in a different room! Pass me the wine!
