Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Here's hoping if is right and this is a lucky thread. Think my fw is around the 9th/10th (if things are working properly) so I'm thinking there will be a few people on here ovulating around then too?

Thanks I will take a pink test in the morning to make sure although no chance today's was an evaporation as came straight up. I hope this one sticks around longer than February's BFP. To be honest I guessed it might be UTD when I flew off handle with football coach as that is so not me at all and I thought could it be hormones?

Fingers crossed this will be a lucky thread. When I was ttc#1 I was one of the first on a thread to get a BFP and it turned into a really lucky thread.

tink - my symptoms have turned up a huge notch today I've been like a demon snapping at everyone! I've sent myself to bed after having a meltdown because DS refused to go to bed Blush

I didn't even get a chance to tell DH my suspicions as I was in a strop with him too!

Lol If when I got pregnant at start of year I didn't tell DHL for 3 days because every time we spoke he pissed me off so I kept waiting!

Here is the pink line test from this morning. This is why I prefer pink to blue! It's just a bog standard FR not an early response one. Will cracking open the CBD tomorrow x

Novin my fw is around 15th of this month if my cycle is the same as last month.
Wow 2 BFN, I really hope this is a lucky thread!

Time to get back on it today. Just came upstairs for ahem...a "lie down" but am completely not in the mood. Does anyone else find it difficult to shag to order so to speak?!

I bought some pink tests today and the line is very much there! I've told DH today too who was pretty shocked.
Although we haven't used any contraception since 3yo DS was born my libido took a plummet so the chances of getting pregnant were fairly low. This is the first month we actually made an effort so I count myself very lucky - especially given the fact it took almost 6 years for DS

Now the waiting game to see if this one sticks around. It's pretty gutting that the last 3 pregnancies (including with DS) have initially been met with 'let's see what happens' type comments between me & DH.

Looking forward to the cbd tomorrow too Tink! You are now my inspiration as I conceived at Christmas and MCd in February so hopefully it will happen for me soon too. May the BFPs come pouring in ladies.

The deed was not done last night, we decided to leave it until bed time and watched In The Club for motivation but I was just too tired. Must try harder tonight!

I got a 2-3 this morning! Such a relief. Saving the other one for next week and keeping everything crossed!

Positive thoughts tink I'm sure all will be ok, got everything crossed for you!
if that is lucky, no wonder DH is a little shocked.
Lol purple surely watching in the club would be a mood killer, all those screaming babies! Completely understand though. My DH is loving the whole trying for a baby, no shock there but the whole DTD every other night feels a bit of a bore sometimes. It's our night tonight as I had last night 'off!'
Think I might watch a bit of Peaky Blinders for inspiration...a slight crush on Cillian Murphy!

Oh God Purple I totally know where you are coming from. Still haven't properly got my mojo back after having DD and breastfeeding and all that jazz and as we all know there is nothing series than scheduled sexy times Hmm I have resorted to ahem reading erotic literature which sometimes helps give me a bit of time to warm up Blush cringe but it does help for me!

Glad you got a 2-3 Tink. Hard as it is try not to obsess too much about different tests, especially the notoriously unreliable (at least in terms of predicting weeks accurately) stress-inducing, clearblue digital which has unnecessarily thrown many women into a panic! When I was PG after the MMC I was paranoid and tested a LOT definitely not every day for at least a week Blush and ended up worrying myself needlessly when the lines weren't as dark as I felt they should be and my symptoms seemed to fade, exactly mirroring my first unsuccessful pregnancy. Am not telling you not to worry as I know from experience that's nigh on impossible just that POAS can only tell you so much. I do know how hard it is being on constant knicker-watch or was that just me

Whoops posted too soon....was going to add. I hope these early weeks pass quickly and uneventfully.

Hi all, I've found my spiritual home Grin

I'm 36 and ttc for #2, already have a ds who will be 4 in a few weeks so feel I should have already had another by now.

Had 3 mmc altogether, 1 before him. 1 on his 1st birthday (not the best time!), and the final was last september. Had a lot going on with family members passing away late last year so we've not really tried too hard, But i'm about to jump into the world of ovulation sticks, having not really used them before. Any tips, any good ones to get?

Welcome Buddha! I found clear blue was good (just the blue line ones) and you get a PG test with it so good value. Bought the digital one last month but either I didn't ovulate or I stopped testing too early. I'm going to try and DTD every other day when AF eventually buggers off (about day 6/7 now) and not test. I hope it all goes well for you and sorry to hear you've been through so much. Unfortunately most of us have experience of MC. So we can all support each other in a nice non judgemental way! (ie when I go a little bit loopy).

Welcome Buddah - I went for internet cheapies, they work just fine and you're less likely to miss days through not testing at the right time.

Impressed by all the the people managing to DTD every other day - I know it's ideal but it doesn't seem remotely possible with a toddler in the household!
