Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

I don't think that can be true, my 6yo still sleeps in our bed most of the time and we conceived DC2 on first go and first time this time too (before mc).

Well I think I'm out for this month too. Started spotting so think the witch is circling. I have come to the conclusion that my body is just being a dck. No idea what the big veiny boobs are all about. Pour me a large glass too will you penguin*

Got to have a chat with dd and let her know that if she keeps getting up at 5am then there will be no brother or sister.

Thank you for the welcome. My MIL has offered to babysit on Saturday so we're going to the pub - every cloud and all that!

Hey ladies
AF has got me tonight! Feeling disheartened as was hoping I may have caught on! Oh well - will have to keep on going!

Boo to the witch Novinos and Remember. No chance it could be...
whispers....ib Novino?

Reassured that I am not that only one with a wakeful monkey. She's just dropping off in my arms after being awake over an hour. All previously established good habits are out the window right now. Sleep by any means necessary is the name of the game. Sometimes I do wonder if DD is just really keen to remain an only child!

Still it's our 4th wedding anniversary and we're going for a delicious lunch at Tom Kerridge's place the hand and flowers (outs self completely) today so it's not all bad Smile

Congratulations penguin it's our 4th anniversary too! Enjoy your fancy lunch with some wine, I will. Taken test this morning and it's BFN. Will try again next month and hopefully hear of some BFPs to keep me hopeful. Heard it takes a while for things to get back on track after MC so trying to not get too disheartened. Let the pre holiday deforestation and buffing begin so I can look like I actually have my sh1t together!! Wink

Morning...well after my confession DD sleept through the whole night, she clearly felt sorry for me and wanted to give me a break, it won't last!
Sorry to hear that remember.
Congrats to the anniversaries, have a great day, especially at Kerridge's, very jealous!
Big fat cheers to you all.

Cheers Rara! Hope it's the start of things to come. My DD slept till 6.20am which is a win in my book. Perhaps they are child geniuses and read MN and do these things just to spite us??

So who is left in the tww? Good news would be most welcome. Have cramp that would fell a horse.

Sorry for those that have been hit with AF :(

Novino, I'm currently on CD20 (6DPO?). Been doing some serious symptom spotting today -at only 6DPO.....get a grip!
Spent about 10 mins looking in the mirror this morning at my boobs Blush convinced they looked different!!!!!
I then got over excited about some random patch of new hair on my hairline - is that even a credible early symptom!

Novinosincebambino · 26/05/2016 18:02

Been there ifatfirst! Hope it's a definite sign and you get BFP. Just asked doc and they said after MC you might not ovulate for a few cycles - explains a lot! Just a shame patience is not my strong point Wink

You might be sorted out sooner than you think Novino from what I remember post MC most people seemed to have a 'wtf cycle' then get back to relatively normal cycles. Hope that's the case for you.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you if. I still have the random tufts of hair around my hairline that sprouted around the time I stopped bfing DD. Most attractive!

Today I am making an appointment to see the doc. Hopefully I am just being a hypochondriac but have been having pelvic pain on my left side for a few weeks so thought best to get checked out.

Referred for a scan/blood test just to rule out anything sinister. I always feel like such a fraud going to the doctor. It's probably nothing but better safe than sorry I guess.

Best to be safe than sorry Penguin hope everything is ok.
Fingers crossed for you If

I hope you're right Penguin. And definitely best to be safe. You'd rather you were checking out something benign than missing something worse. Sure it will be fine but stress doesn't help anything, if it gives you peace of mind it's absolutely worth it.

Forgot to say happy anniversary to you too Novino I had a blinking marvellous bellini and we shared a bottle of prosecco and it all went a bit fuzzy after that Grin

Not related to TTC but related to feeling a fraud with GP Penguin.... I took my DS to GP 3.5 weeks ago as he had had grommets a week before and pus was pouring out his ear. GP made me feel awful for taking him, he said it was normal as that what grommets were for and it meant they were working. He barely looked at him and I basically felt reprimanded. The stuff kept coming out his ears for weeks and it was gross but I had been told it was normal. Then on Monday pure blood started coming out so I phoned consultant that had performed operation and again felt like I was time wasting. But no. He has had an infection this whole time and it was never normal and consultant couldnt see grommet due to amount of blood but said he'd be surprised if its survived infection. So I've been feeling like a terrible mother all week for trusting the GP. He was so condescending he put me off going back despite all the horrible stuff pouring out his ear.

Evening all

Can I join this thread?

I'm 36 and ttc baby no 2. Dd is 3 years old. Am in my 2nd cycle and according to Ovio my fw is coming up soon fingers crossed we get bfp next month.

Do any of you suffer from pcos? I do and am trying not to worry about the impact it may have on ttc, especially as a few years have passed since I had dd plus I'm a lot heavier. Know I need to lose weight but have lost all motivation.

That's terrible Tink! Hope it all gets sorted soon. Nothing worse than been made to feel crap as a mother. Thing is, when medical professionals tell you something you don't have much choice as you presume they know best...Well lesson to all of us...mum always knows best Smile
Welcome Jenny fingers crossed for you too.

Welcome Jenny, hope you and the other lovely ladies get good news soon.

Oh my goodness Tink you must have been at your wits end. I was up at the hospital with DD yesterday too, her eye hasn't been right and I'm not convinced it's just bacterial like the doc said. Can't go on holiday with that concerning me. Just a shame we have to be a thorn in their sides to get them properly looked at. Hope they'll be ok.

Thanks penguin. Do we get a medal for 4 years? Sometimes think I deserve one Grin

Hello, can I join too? 39, ttc #2 though sleepless 21mo #1 is a remarkably effective contraceptive. Trying for about 6 months so far; took us 2 years last time so worried it will be even longer/too late this time.

Hi jenny and jess. I'm worried I've left it too late too, I never imagined I could be running around after a toddler when I'm 40! Still a few years until that but Baby #2 had better hurry up!

Welcome Jess, age is just a number so don't worry about that. Good friend had her ds at 41 and she has more stamina than me on a good day. Just hope we all get our BFPs soon. Boots has been raided for 'supplies' already!

Hi I'd like to join! 38 and ttc#2. DS1 is 21 months. I've literally just started though. Came off pill 5 weeks ago and just had first period so all go for next ovulation (digital OPKs all ready!). Conceived easily first time around so who knows what will happen. I can see myself being just as obsessed with charting and testing as I was with the first....Confused

Sorry I've been a tad busy the last couple of days.
Welcome to the newbies - I hope everyone is well.
Glad it's a bank holiday weekend! What are we all doing? I am waiting for AF to finish so I can start again this cycle!
