Would love to hear from anyone taking this route ttc. I'm DOR and dh has low morphology but an amazing count and motility. So whenever af shows up in two weeks or so I'm starting Clomid, then doing a hcg trigger injection and then IUI. Hoping for success getting 2-3 good eggs to drop and putting the swimmers practically next to them!

Im having cm with bits of blood in. Had diarrhoea yesterday i doubt im pregnant. Thinking of taking a break from clomid due to it potentially messing with womb lining. I emailed the private Doctor who recommended that clomid doesnt affect lining wtf?

Have to focus not on distractions but not being stressed Russkispy, currently in negotiating stages for going sale agreed on a new house and work is mental, so will just be focusing on staying calm

Russkispy · 19/10/2016 12:30

Rainy, sorry you're going through this. What CD are you on now?

Snowy, didn't want to use words such as relax, don't stress and fret etc . It sounds like there's a lot going your end, one must try stay calm, indeed. Try not to focus on symptoms in this 2ww either. Hope you can manage it ok

PurpleRainy · 19/10/2016 18:02

I'm on day 33 and oved on about 19 or 20 so think it's period. Would I know if I had thin lining? I think boggle told me if my progesterone is high enough it should counteract any thin lining x

Thomasina76 · 20/10/2016 13:36

Hi all - random question. Took progesterone pessaries for first time last cycle which delayed my period by about 4 days. I am pretty sure I ovulated on 25th Sept and so should have got AF on or around 8 or 9th October but it didn't show up until 13th. What effect, if any, do those 4 "lost" days have on the next cycle? I am now CD8 and feel that I may ovulate early this month. Also, did anyone get a much lighter period after using progesterone?

snowy1982 · 20/10/2016 13:57

I don't have any experience in this area so can't help, sorry Sad

geeup · 21/10/2016 08:37

Me neither sorry.

snowy1982 · 02/11/2016 06:47

BFN Sad

geeup · 02/11/2016 06:51

Sorry snowy :( WineCakeFlowers

Russkispy · 02/11/2016 07:51

Snowy, sorry to hear it! What CD are you on and tested it?

snowy1982 · 02/11/2016 08:36

On CD 1. Tested this morning got BFN and by time I had got into work AF had arrived

Russkispy · 02/11/2016 09:41

Sorry to hear it, snowy. How are you feeling? Your thoughts so far?

snowy1982 · 02/11/2016 14:30

Feeling absolutely terrible. We've been trying for 2 years and still we're getting nowhere so it really feels like it is never going to happen for us

star1980 · 03/11/2016 12:42

So sorry snowy Flowers that's so disappointing. Please look after yourself and your OH. I'm at 2 years trying too (CD2 today Sad) and know how tough it is. Remember how hormonal you are on your period - that will be contributing to how desperate you're feeling right now. In a few days, when the fog lifts a little you can start formulating a plan for next steps and I hope that helps you feel a little better. Do you know what you might try next?

I don't post here anymore as I did my three unsuccessful cycles of clomid + TI in the summer. Now trying naturally until IVF in Jan - two cycles left to get a miracle BFP before we start the cycle!

snowy1982 · 03/11/2016 13:34

I have an appointment with the consultant to discuss things next Wednesday. Am also waiting on NHS appointment letter to come through. Am supposed to be having a break to make sure I'm not too pregnant when doing BM for my BF next October, but the thought of not wasting time terrifies me.

Hopefully you won't need your IVF, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Russkispy · 03/11/2016 16:09

Snowy, is it at a private clinic? Hope it goes well!
Star, hope it works out before IVF. Fingers crossed for you!

Thomasina76 · 07/11/2016 19:50

So sorry Snowy. I tested yesterday and got BFN. Our 3rd unsuccessful unmedicated IUI. Also feeling like shite. Need to decide what we will do - plan had been to move onto medicated IUI but not sure I can face another round.

Russkispy · 07/11/2016 20:24

Thomasina, sorry to hear it! Sending you big hugs 💐💐 what cd are you on?

snowy1982 · 07/11/2016 20:48

So sorryThomasina, it's such a horrible feeling Sad. Give yourself a wee break and then think about what you want to do next.

I have a meeting with a consultant on Wednesday to discuss what next

Thomasina76 · 07/11/2016 22:01

thanks both. I am on CD 26 today. 15 day post IUI. I think we will move onto clomid next month. Maybe we were a bit daft trying unmedicated. Has anyone heard of any successes with unmedicated IUIs in this age group? Just wish we knew what the problem was. I can't get my head around how we both conceived with other partners but can't together. Maybe it is us. Very sad :(

Thomasina76 · 07/11/2016 22:04

Another quick question - has anyone tried just clomid without the IUI? Just wondering how the success rates compare. Feel like just doing clomid with the IUI this month as so much cheaper and feels like less pressure. Cannot help get my hopes up when every time we see a perfect 23 mm follicle, perfect lining, LH surge, amazing sperm sample then a bit fat BFN. Nothing. Not even a sniff of anything. urgghh.

Russkispy · 08/11/2016 16:36

Had acupuncture this morning and slept peacefully. And just finished our very first scan! A little babi 15mm long with 170bmp. Heard the heartbeat! And it's only one! No twins! Haha doctor was happy with how things going and develop. NIFTY scan/test is booked in 2 weeks

snowy1982 · 10/11/2016 08:09

Thomasina I know exactly how you feel, we are in the same boat, every cycle seems like perfect conditions but still BFN, it really is heartbreaking Sad

We had a consultation yesterday, clinic is advising going to IVF next, they don't see the point in trying anymore IUI, that for some unknown reason it isn't working for us so we are better off trying something different

Thomasina76 · 14/11/2016 22:15

Snowy, how many medicated IUIs did you try? We are on our first medicated and I read that the success rates are highest for the first 3 cycles. I think after 3 we will consider next steps which may be do nothing in our case - not sure we will do IVF. I am on day 4 of taking clomid - has made me go a bit bonkers to say the least. Very curious to see what's going on in there at the scan on Weds. Given that I ovulate naturally, not sure how many follicles we are aiming for. For some reason I feel more hopeful this month as the success rates with medicated are considerably higher. Just wondering why we wasted so much money trying unmedicated. We should've done 1 or 2 max then moved on. Urgggh. good luck all. Hopefully one of us will have some success soon. And congrats again Russkispy.

snowy1982 · 16/11/2016 06:56

I only did 1 medicated, my clinic says they don't really see the benefits of me doing another 3 cycles of it. I found my follicles reaction to the drugs odd, at the beginning I had 4 follicles all the same size and worried that it would get cancelled, then 3 of them just seemed to drop away. At the end I only had 1 and it was nowhere near as big as they had been naturally.

I am def going ahead with IVF, just waiting until the new year to start it. Hoping NHS appointment comes through soon and their wait list for IVF isn't long, then if it doesn't work on NHS we have a lost shot going private for it
