Do you love being elbow deep in your cervix? Can you tell your cream from your egg? No, we're not talking Cadbury, we're talking vadge juice. Come and join the fingering fillies on our flight of fecundity (see what I did there?).

Giddy, I really like the sound of your carpet man. I am not allowed to fancy other people, not since DH found a comment I made on fb several years ago pertaining to what I would happily do to Mark Foster if I ever met him in the changing rooms of the Sandcastle in Blackpool

Hello everyone

Just a quickie from me as im running late and need to get ready for family meal but..im 9dpo just peed on an ic and there is the faintest of lines bloody hell I hope this is it. Dh can see it too! I did it because my temp increased this morning from a steady 36 50 to 36.70

Gotta go, have a nice day all will report back when I can

mustbemad71 · 15/02/2015 10:19

Morning girlies I totally over-indulged last night, am piling in pounds and need to take myself in hand!

Has anyone bought Zita west's Ear Yourself Preggo? Any good?

mustbemad71 · 15/02/2015 10:20

Beans exciting! Congrats and stats please!

juneybean · 15/02/2015 10:20

Eek bean fingers crossed for you!

mustbemad71 · 15/02/2015 10:20

Err Purdey what about the good Dr C?! Grin

spinningirl10 · 15/02/2015 10:22

Stew sounds good Purdey, I love Jamie Oliver.

Thanks for the info Lucie, I have also been looking at reprofit. up until this week we didn't think we'd ever do ivf but we also didn't expect dp to have probs with his sperm. We've got lots going on in the next few months so I'm not sure when the best time would be for us, Maybe summer and then the sperm will hopefully be improved. I think we need to have a good chat about it, more research and get the ball rolling if we should opt for Gennet, especially with their waiting time.

Oh and victoria, so sorry af arrived, totally shitThanksWine

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 10:23

Oooo, Beansprout, well done, old girl! That is a very early bfp and indicative of some high HcG numbers there twins. A sudden and steep rise around 8-10dpo is a sure sign of conception for lots of ladies (me included!) Smile

Boosk · 15/02/2015 10:26

Eee bean, tentative congratulations. Let us know when you've got yourself a frer! Smile

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 10:26

Mustbemad, because you are a skim-reading lazy bastard you have missed a whole conversation surrounding Zita's latest book-selling claim that too much protein can make our bodies too acidic to conceive. We -i decided she is a money-grabbing slut-- charlatan who's simply trying to flog her book. We discussed Neanderthals and how they lived on nuts, berries, meat and eggs and did not become extinct. Or rather they did... Hmm

juneybean · 15/02/2015 10:27

They evolved ....

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/02/2015 10:28

Sorry to those who got af, especially you Victoria. I was very hopeful for you, and I'm sorry you feel like you do. Flowers

Congrats bean!!!

After my .6 temp drop ( way below the coverline) yesterday, its now gone back up .5 to well within post ov temps, so I think maybe I slept with my mouth open or kicked the covers off or something daft like that. 10dpo today with af due Wednesday.

GL to anyone testing today!

Boosk · 15/02/2015 10:29

juney I thought I'd read on here people saying not to use fmu for opks. Can you test again later to confirm?

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 10:29

Juney, will you do another cheapie test in two hours? No matter, I think 24 hours from now is Time To Lob The Boyz Up. I knew you'd ov tomorrow Wink

OP posts:
juneybean · 15/02/2015 10:31

I'll probably do a few haha.

I think digitals can be done with FMU..

I'm tempted to do one straw tonight and one in this morning?

victoria401 · 15/02/2015 10:31

Sammy we were told it was normal at 5% too and that's when we were offered iui. His first and 3rd test were both 2% though. I insisted on a 3rd test pre treatment and the iui was cancelled. Under 4% and they offer icsi yes. I'm currently thinking it over.

4% is the NICE guidelines 'normal' based on a study where they looked at % of couples who got preg with their men's sperm having different % of good sperm and came up with this crap figure. WHO guidelines however say over 15% morph is needed for good conception rates.

When we were referred they did a more in depth sa where they decide if iui, ivf or icsi are suitable. But sperm is not a constant, as we have found out the hard way. It can be very different on the day. One of my 10month+ thread ladies has just got her bfp from ivf where her dh had crap morph. They both went on a super duper diet for a few months prior to get their bodies in tip top ivf condition and her dh's morph had increased from 1% and 3% in his tests to 15% on the ivf day! Who knows, if he had done this diet 12 months previous they might not have needed ivf! Must find out more....

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 10:32

But, Juney, what if they evolved into non-acidic people who steered clear of eggs and meat? What if they all decamped to t'top deck of their version of our buzz? I'm very worried about Zita's claim, especially when IVF clinics force women to up their protein leading up to treatment.

Well the concept of veganism had to start some where....

Boosk · 15/02/2015 10:34

Sounds good juney!

juneybean · 15/02/2015 10:35

Wonder if there is a study done on the cycle number it takes between different diets.

spinningirl10 · 15/02/2015 10:36

Bean sprout, yay Congratulations. A bfp at 9dpo is fabGrin

loopylou1984 · 15/02/2015 10:37

This mornings opk, it's on!

Thanks Victoria. Guess I need to get him to have a repeat SA. He was so pleased last time that the results were normal, I'm not sure what his reaction will be. X
