grggggggggggggggggggrrrrrrr!

KitKat30 · 21/10/2006 14:25

hi hon - having a few technical probs?!

It's a real mix of brown and red to be honest - and it has an odd consistency more like EWCM than anything else. I dont know...just have to wait it out I guess and hope it doesnt get any heavier.

Is it best not to drink alcohol at all, for either of you, whilst trying to get pregnant or better just to limit it? Have the odd glass of wine but wondering whether to cut this out altogether - what do guys think?

mrspf · 21/10/2006 18:05

Hi all,

1n2s- I have been having the odd drink - no more than 2 units a night, but next month, I may lay off alcohol altogether, and I also plan to take evening primrose oil and drink grapefruit juice to improve my EWCM. Every little helps...

After saying this morning that I wouldn't buy any more tests, I started to feel queasy and really couldn't face coffee, so I started to get all excited again and bought a twin pack of tests. But got another BFN. Bit disappointed but still hopeful, especially after seeing Mrsmcjnr's table. I really must resist using the other test too soon as this is starting to be an expensive habit! Oh well, who knows what's going on- with my DD i had a BFN on day AF due but BFP 3 days later, although with my m/c got a BFP straightaway...

Yes - you must stay hopeful!! I know how you feel - I always feel down when af finally arrives. What do grapefruit juice and evening primrose do exactly?

mrspf · 22/10/2006 12:56

Hi 1n2s,

I have heard they improve your CM which makes things better for those little swimmers to get to the egg.

But grapefruit juice should be taken in moderation and EPO should only be taken from CD1 to ovulation.

MrsMcJnr · 22/10/2006 14:41

Hello ladies. Glad to hear the table helped . I have tried to cut down on the booze, "they" say you should limit it to 13 units if you are TTC and it can make sperm's mobility suffer. More tomorrow... Hope the BFN is wrong mrspf! KitKat - how are you? ok?

Hi Mrs McJ - well I got a faint positive Sat night, but started bleeding v heavily on Sunday. It's v painful and is still heavy today so I dont think this is the month for me.

Was terribly upset yesterday, but am feeling a bit better today. Trying to be as positive as I can - there's always next month. DH has been fantastic - just an absolute star.

Thanks for all your concern everyone, really appreciated it. Oh well, here we go - round 2!

x

MrsMcJnr · 23/10/2006 08:59

That's odd KitKat, you hardly ever get a false positive. I don't want to get your hopes up but it might be worth doing another test in a few days time. Glad to hear that you are holding up ok and that DH is being supportive, that helps so much

KitKat30 · 23/10/2006 09:05

I can't believe anything is still in there - I dont think it was a false positive, I think I did conceive, but maybe implantation was incomplete or something? I dont know - I really dont know enough about this. Maybe the test was wrong.

KitKat30 · 23/10/2006 09:08

Sorry - meant to say maybe I did the test wrong, or read too much into the lines. It def looked like a faint cross... but AF has just been too painful - it doesnt feel right. I dont know - it's all a bit much for me at the moment

MrsMcJnr · 23/10/2006 09:16

oh KitKat, sending you big hugs, take good care of yourself over the next few days, try not to worry, we over analyse everything when TTC, wrap up warm and treat yourself really well and come and chat whenever you feel like it

KitKat30 · 23/10/2006 09:20

PinkButterfly · 23/10/2006 10:25

Hello. Sorry haven't managed on all weekend.

I'm so sorry Kitkat. Your positive test then AF does sound as if your egg may have been fertilised but didn't implant. Apparently this is extremely common and it wasn't until all these early tests became available that people realised. Previously it was just put down to late and/or heavy AF. This is one of the v negative aspects of early testing as so many embryos do not survive. It means that your body knew to reject the cells for some reason and from personal experience of a m/c at 10 wks hon it's better now than after a pg was established.

You will get your healthy pg - I know it. For now just take care and remember we are all here for you if/when you feel like chatting. (((((hugs))))))

xx

Thinking of you KitKat.

Thank you for welcoming me into the thread.

I think the earliest I can test is Friday, but I don't feel anything is going on, just a lot of wishful thinking and leaping to wild conclusions with every slight twinge.

Fingers crossed for all of you .....

KitKat30 · 23/10/2006 10:41

Thanks PinkB and sunshine - it just wasn't meant to be. And you're right - better that it happened now rather than later. And at least I know all my twinges and symptoms weren't completely bogus - sounds like a silly consolation, but at least I know I wasnt imagining everything...

xx

ready4motherhood · 23/10/2006 11:10

KitKat - (((hugs))) sorry about AF. But I agree that it's a bit of a consolation that your feelings were not completely bogus... and it means that the swimmers are finding their way through so once the right egg is fertilised it will latch on!! So Positives out of Negatives!! See you in the November thread maybe?

sunshinedays · 23/10/2006 12:16

Anyone else still hanging in there on the 2ww?

PinkButterfly · 23/10/2006 12:49

Sunshine - think it's just you and 1in2s currently on 2ww.

I'm waiting to OV (would normally OV CD16 - 18, CD18 today and nothing!) I have been a bit down and stressed so it might have taken its toll this cycle!

PinkButterfly · 23/10/2006 12:58

hey mrsmcj - thought u'd be in the throws of bd'ing right now too! Sure it will come soon. x

MrsMcJnr · 23/10/2006 13:10

Thanks PB - it would have been a great BD record if I'd OV today but now a few of the earlier ones are off the 5 day scale!!

PinkButterfly · 23/10/2006 13:13
