Hey Sunshinedays - please excuse my ignorance but what does that mean and why are you having it done? Glad to see you on Nov thread too!

wishing1 · 30/10/2006 15:21

I am joining in on the 2ww, tired of going it alone, dh is studying for another med exam. I had a positive opk on the 22 and we bd in the morning and 3 days before that, haven't since since his test coming up soon and he goes into "solo" mode 2 weeks before the exam hope this month is the one, ttc since June good luck to all.

MrsMcJnr · 30/10/2006 15:25

Welcome Wishing1 - sounds like you have a great chance this cycle. I've been TTC since June too. Babydust to you. When are you planning to test? sounds like you could be 1dpo ahead of me. I'm CD26 and 8dpo.

sunshinedays · 30/10/2006 16:21

Hi MrsMcJnr
A lap & dye is keyhole day surgery - they put dye where dye just ain't supposed to go (if you get my meaning) then physically go in through your belly button and have a look using wee cameras (must remember to smile). They may also try and repair any problems they see or at worse remove the tube(s) if they are too damaged - leaving IVF as the only option.

I have moment of joking about it and moments of being terrified!

MrsMcJnr · 30/10/2006 16:24

oh big hugs.

sunshinedays · 30/10/2006 16:37

oops. Was that tmi??

MrsMcJnr · 30/10/2006 19:58

Not at all just wish you didn't have to go through that!

KitKat30 · 31/10/2006 13:42

How are you feeling MrsMcJ?

Sunshine - good luck for your lap & dye...is it soon? thinking good thoughts for you anyway

x

MrsMcJnr · 31/10/2006 15:39

I'll second that Sunshinedays - hope that it goes well and that you are not too uncomfortable

Thanks for asking KitKat - I am totally obsessed! Have soent almost all day on here as can't think about anything else! Not a good state of affairs especially if AF pitches up.

How about you? how are things?

Beccarolloveragain · 31/10/2006 15:54

Hi

Does anyone know what spotting on CD14 coudl be?

MrsMcJnr · 31/10/2006 16:10

Hello Becca - love the name! Do you know if you have ovulated already this month? If you have, and you can from CD8, it could be implantation spotting otherwise, I'd need to check my book for you!

KitKat30 · 31/10/2006 16:19

I'm OK hon, thanks for asking. Started the BD marathon!

Also trying to get my head around the fertility monitor. Had some EWCM yesterday, but the monitor still said LOW fertility... I'm waiting patiently for a HIGH or PEAK!

It's so hard not to be consumed and search every single site for early pg symptoms!! At least you know you're not alone in your neuroses

Hi Becca - spotting around 14dpo could be AF or it could be implantation bleeding, which normally happens around the time AF is due. There is a good conception/pregnancy calendar on the BBC site which I found really useful. Sorry - cant find the link at the mo!

KitKat30 · 31/10/2006 16:24

this is the BBC link

KitKat30 · 31/10/2006 16:25

Also ignore me completely! I thought you meant 14 days past ov - not cycle day 14. I know nothing - listen to MrsMcJ, she knows everything!!

MrsMcJnr · 31/10/2006 16:35

Good luck with the fertility monitor, it works out your own pattern doesn't it? haven't searched any sites for symptoms - where should I look?

PinkButterfly · 31/10/2006 16:40

Hello, hope you are feeling well PB!

KitKat30 · 01/11/2006 09:38

Hi PinkB - hope you're well hon?

Ooh got a HIGH reading on my CBFM this morning - very excited! Now just waiting patiently for the PEAK reading...

MrsMcJ - try twoweekwait.com - there is loads on there!! Although, if you want to stay sane, probably best to avoid it!

MrsMcJnr · 01/11/2006 09:42

Thanks KitKat - temp fell this morning so feeling a bit low, probably best if I don't look.

KitKat30 · 01/11/2006 10:17

Oh honey . Don't fear the worst just yet though - it could be nothing at all. Will keep everything crossed for you xx

MrsMcJnr · 01/11/2006 16:29

Thanks KitKat - I've been on that site and there are even more things on there that I've noted and did not even realise were signs - my body can sure play some weird tricks on me! We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Meeli · 02/11/2006 07:01

Hello all, I'm a new oldish (40) overweight (but getting smaller) first time trier. we have been trying for 3 months and I have noticed that I feel sick for about a week or so each month- I think because of something to with menstural cycle (feeling sick now and I am post O). Its annoying to feel sick so much and not be pregnant- I think I am hoping for the signs so much that I am focusing too much on bodily symptoms. Does anyone else experience this?

KitKat30 · 02/11/2006 09:07

Hi Meeli - welcome. Do you normally feel sick before your period? Or just since you've started trying? It's difficult to say really - I think we all want to get pg so much, that we imagine all sorts of symptoms... and because we're so aware of our bodies we read far too much into everything, so after every little twinge you think 'is this it?!' It's difficult to try and relax about it I know - but these boards do help!

Meeli · 02/11/2006 11:01

Hello, it's nice to be welcomed. I had a mirena coil for a few years until recently and have been feeling very sick each month since it was removed- but of course prior to that I had no periods for quite some time. I guess it is just part of my 'normal' cycle now but I can't help hoping it is something else, particularly when it is accompanied by sharp abdominal pains I imagine are eggs and implanting and all sorts of wishful thinking.
