Hi all just to let u know all is well if a bit slow! Just had second dose of prostin so hopefully by morning they will b able to break my waters and we can get cracking! Unsurprisingly little bear seems quite cosy and my body may need a little encouragement! Have lovely midwife looking after me whose best friend had a still birth at 34 weeks so she is more than insightful. Hope all is well with everyone x

AllTerrainMammy · 13/09/2014 23:13

Bless you for taking time to update us. Will be thinking of you over the next few hours and hoping all goes well and that little bear will be here soon for snuggles.

So excited for you x

MademoiselleG · 13/09/2014 23:33

Thank you so much for the update Ruby - we are all cheering you on and I am so, so pleased that you have a kind and empathetic midwife accompanying you. I hope everything goes wonderfully well. Big squeeze xx

BlueSkyandRain · 14/09/2014 03:21

Thank you for the update ruby - hope you're managing to get some rest and that things are progressing well. So excited for you!

missalex my heart skipped a beat when I read that - 23days! Just got to get through the next couple of weeks... this is where it went wrong before. I keep telling myself there's no reason it should happen again, but I'm so on edge it's unbelievable. As is prob obvious from posting at this time!

kayleighferrie1985 · 14/09/2014 03:39

ruby thank you for keeping us updated. Me and DH have had friends round for a party tonight and i've kept making my excuses to check how you're getting on. I'm so glad you've got a midwife who can relate to all you've been through. Exciting times Grin xx

EarthWindAnd9 · 14/09/2014 07:09

Hi Ruby, thanks for the update. I hope things are progressing a bit more quickly for you now. If LO is born today they will be in good company, 3 of my closest friends have birthdays today.

Blue, keep going, you are doing so well. One hour at a time and you will get there. What sort of monitoring have they offered to help you through the next 3 weeks?

MissA, continuing to think you you and your friend x

Ducky23 · 14/09/2014 08:48

Have been desperately trying to get on here this morning to check for an update! Grin

Glad you have a supportive midwife ruby! Will be thinking of you today! Hopefully things will progress quicker for you today Grin

I'm so excited! Think it's because it's the first birth while I've been on here. Grin

X

missalexandra · 14/09/2014 09:49

Ruby Thank you for keeping us up to date, there are a lot of "aunties" thinking about you on here! So glad you have a lovely midwife to accompany you through the next few hours before finally getting Bear in your arms. Sending positive rainbow vibes x

Blue I'm sorry didnt mean to make you any more nervous than you already are ! x

Earth thanks, will post soon x

OwlinaTree · 14/09/2014 15:58

Thinking of you ruby, have been all weekend. Congrats on AF madem!

LakeOfDreams · 14/09/2014 17:11

Thinking of you Ruby hope things are going well

MademoiselleG · 14/09/2014 17:42

Well, I'm not sure it is AF anymore... Had spotting Tuesday then proper bleed Friday morning and just very light, brown spotting on and off since... Would you consider Friday to be CD1?

kayleighferrie1985 · 14/09/2014 18:28

Ruby hope things are going well :)

madem sorry to hear that you're not sure if it is AF- personally i'm not sure if Friday would be CD1, might be worth checking with the doctors?

Waves to all xx

Ducky23 · 14/09/2014 19:17

Hope things are going well ruby!!! Smile X

M, sorry I have no idea (I'm useless!)

EarthWindAnd9 · 14/09/2014 19:47

Back again to check on Ruby...!

Mad-I would count Friday as CD1 but if you want to know for tracking ovulation/expected next period I would just make a note of all dates and cover all potential bases (ie also count Tuesday as CD1). I hope that's not as spectacularly unhelpful as it sounds!

MademoiselleG · 14/09/2014 20:20

OoOooh Earth, no it really isn't unhelpful, quite the opposite! So you would potentially even consider Tuesday as CD1? Well - I promised the gp to stop using opks and pg tests everyday (ahem. Please refrain from judging.) so I guess the shaggathon has officially started!

Rubyshoe · 14/09/2014 20:45

Just to let u know have had 3rd dose of prostin. Midwife reckons the Dr maybe able to break waters at midnight ( with a harpoon presumably if they think it's a job for the Dr). Getting a bit teary now, have had enough of holding my breath to hold a live baby I thought as my body had done this before it would be quicker this time. Ho hum mayb tonight or tomorrow. Love to all and good luck Mad with the shagathon! Wink

AllTerrainMammy · 14/09/2014 20:51

Oh Ruby how frustrating for you. Just keep going, you're so close now and we're all cheering you on. At least they're hopeful they'll be able to break your waters later on, hopefully that will help speed things along.

Thinking of you so much. Take care x

Rubyshoe · 14/09/2014 20:51

Sorry for that completely self indulgent post. I hope I haven't offended anyone. How dare I whinge when I have a live baby inside me waiting to b born. Especially when there are ladies like MissA, critter & Little Tulip who have / are struggling to conceive. Please forgive me, it's all getting a bit much now but that's no excuse x

Ducky23 · 14/09/2014 20:52

Your so close ruby Grin can't wait to hear all about the birth! X

Yeaaa go m!!! (I think I took my first pg test at 2dpo with my little boy so Deffo not judging Blush) x

MademoiselleG · 14/09/2014 21:28

Eeerrrr, Ruby, you're in labour. You have a "get out of jail free card" for any type of self indulgence or whinging. We are probably not helping with our barely contained excitement for you!
(Earth: this will be you sooner than you know, better prepare yourself!)

Gearing up to dutifully dtd tonight. (Sigh)

Hugs to you all x

EarthWindAnd9 · 14/09/2014 21:32

Ruby your post wasn't self indulgent at all, and even if it were I think you're allowed to be. I hope you've a managed to have a little bit of sleep. We are all cheering you on.

Mad-no judgement here. I used OPKs for my rainbow (from CD6...) and I must have peed on at least 15pg tests after my BFP

MademoiselleG · 14/09/2014 21:42

Re-read my post and what I meant was: "EVEN IF you had been self-indulgent, you would have a get out of jail free card".
Thank you all for the reassurance scout being normal in being obsessive Wink

SpanielFace · 14/09/2014 22:17

Hi, I lost the thread & then found you on this one!

Ruby, hope all is going well for you - how exciting! Will you keep posting?

I am posting to off load, as I am worrying. We had too much to drink on holiday 2 weeks ago, and dtd with no condom Blush Just once, and DH actually pulled out before the end, as we are not supposed to be trying yet, we still haven't had Alex's PM results - appointment is 25th. My period is due tomorrow and my boobs are really sore. I'm sure it's probably just normal
PMT and nothing else, but... What if it's not? I'm sure I can't be, who gets pregnant that easily, really? It's ridiculous to even think it. But it's made me think about how is feel if I was, and I don't even know. I'm still very much grieving Alex, and it's making me question whether I'm ready to try again, even if the doctor says it's ok. But then I'm desperate to have another baby Sad my emotions are so mixed up.

I've not had a chance to read the new thread properly yet, but I hope everyone else is ok.
