shamrock hello and welcome. You'll find excellent advice from the ladies on this thread. I do hope Thursday brings you some answers. I'd let Louise know what's happening, just so that your notes are up to date - and for moral support.

About 56 weeks duggs ... or that's how my stomach feels anyway! :) 11 weeks and 1 day today, and I just realised I messed up my progesterone prescription and I don't have enough. Bugger.

Other people's pregnancies seem to fly by dont they. Do you have a scan booked around week 12 Ari? When's your 20 week one Duggs? Did you succumb to a heart rate monitor yet?

Report
duggs1976 · 13/05/2014 21:12

Yes heart rate monitor I bought with my second pregnancy in 2011. I listen everyday although DH thinks that is unhealthy! I'm 17 weeks on Thursday so 6 June is 20 wk scan. Wow Ari ... Over worst part now after 9 wks Grin

freelancegirl · 14/05/2014 08:35

I used it obsessively with DS too. When you start to feel a lot of movement you will slow down. Then you'll find yourself downing cold drinks to get them moving when you haven't felt them for a bit! Have you thought about whether you will find out the gender or is that too much thinking like a Normal Pregnant Person right now?

Waving to all my friends on here. Am at the hospital having glucose tolerance test and 28 week checks. Feels like a big milestone and am excited today.

Yes free, 12 week scan a week on Friday. Well, 12 and a half week scan really, but I'm not counting.

Ok, so which doppler do you ladies have? I'm not sure it would be healthy for me to have something else to obsess over, plus I'm not sure it's a good idea with twins anyway (if you pick up a heartbeat how do you know which twin - and how do you go about picking up each individual heartbeat?) but I may look into getting one anyway.

pixie Hope the tests go well.

Report
duggs1976 · 14/05/2014 12:16

Hey pixie, great news ...good luck Ari I hear you on the twins doppler thing? Mine is a bit shite tbh in terms of measuring actual heart rate but I hear it beating easily enough. Will pm you. Free I know he's a boy knew at 12 wks because of harmony test I paid for so that was a nice added extra to have. Hope everyone else ok ?

Report
freelancegirl · 14/05/2014 13:43

Ahh that's lovely Duggs! I think I knew but had forgotten.

I had an angel sounds one, thankfully found the heartbeat every time but yes twins might be a whole other kettle of fish. My friend who had ID twins was scanned every couple of weeks because of the added risks. Will you get any extra monitoring?

Report
freelancegirl · 14/05/2014 13:45

Does the harmony scan tell you gender then? They didn't have it when I was pregnant with DS and I didn't know wha he was until he was born. If I manage to have another one I might find out next time, just to do it differently although it was fun not knowing too. Ari will you find out?

Report
freelancegirl · 14/05/2014 13:46

Oh and great news MrsP!! Yes it is indeed a milestone. So many successfully pregnant people here now.

Report
Arianrhod · 14/05/2014 13:59

Ah yes, I forgot about the Angel Sounds one. Extra monitoring, no I don't believe so free - mine are non-identical. Although I will have more appts than the usual as I have to see the consultant as well as the normal midwife appts. And yes, I will absolutely find out the sex(es), but only at the 20 week scan, I'm not going to pay for any tests before then. On a need-to-know basis I need to know absolutely everything! :) I'm an information junkie, if you hadn't already figured that out ... :)

MrsPixieMoo · 14/05/2014 14:23

Thanks ladies. Laughing with Ari 'need to know everything'. Totally get that.

Tests painless, waiting for results. Saw my lovely midwife and all is well with MiniPixie. Have been told to go down a gear or two, whatever that means. Feeling a bit overwhelmed at work but didn't think it showed.

Waves to all and sorry no personal messages for eons.

So glad to hear that all's well Mrs P! Hope you can relax a bit.

Ari, nearly 12 weeks... wow. It must be incredibly reassuring to know that your risk of abnormalities is going to be low. How are you feeling?

Tested at 10dpo and 12dpo and a BFN, so it's on to another cycle of SO. I'm actually feeling remarkably OK about it all. If it didn't work out with four follies and clockwork DTD, then those eggs just weren't fertilisable. We'll have to see what the next cycle brings...

Waves to all.

It gives me great hopes to read about all the ladies that are pregnant at the moment.

For us this time was not what we hoped. My body hasn't realized it yet but have received today after scan the news that once again we are going through a silent miscarriage. Will have DNC coming Wednesday. But we are not giving up. The doctor here said that I have to keep in mind that the egg quality is going down big time ( I'm 42 ) and have to ask myself how many times I can go through this :S - do remember reading about vitamins/supplements that improve the egg quality. Was wondering if any of you had experience on this field.

Waves to all :)

Report
duggs1976 · 15/05/2014 13:53

Sorry shamrock - co enzyme Q10 is a suggested supplement for egg quality. Myo inositol is another... Yes the average age of women on here seems to be between late 30s and early 40s so most of our mc are probably chromosonal just natural decline. It just makes it difficult when we will never really be able to over come those challenges and some doctors are so flippant about their solutions but don't do so much expectation management!! I hope things go ok for you over coming days x

Hi everyone not been on for ages and been trying to catch up with everything.

shamrock welcome to the thread and so sorry to hear of your sad news! All the ladies on here are amazing! And have a wealth of information!

village that's crap about this cycle but I'm so pleased you are feeling ok about the whole thing!

Duggs so pleased you are doing well!

Ari such exciting news! Twins! I look forward to hear what little ones are!! Re Doppler, we got one of Amazon and it was about £40 (very similar to the ones midwives use) and it's brilliant! Wouldn't be without it! Not sure how it all works with twingles though!

mrsp Howe are you? 28 weeks now?

baking how are you?

As for me just had 24 week growth scan and all is looking good! BabyTeam is moving lots! Baby is breech at the moment but I'm not worried about that!
We are going to the baby show tomorrow and I can't believe that I am at that stage already! 16 weeks to go!
Miracles can happen!

Hope everyone is well and I am sorry to everyone I have missed!
Xxx
