Hey Amelia - congrats on the positive test! Wonderful! I can't help much, I am a success story (at 31 weeks at mo after 3 x miscarriages too!) but just to say click on the link above and keep going to the end of the thread and then post as nobody will see it here... and lots of the lovely helpful ladies in here will see and respond. Try not to worry about when you start on the preds, some people don't like starting them too early as can affect cycle so they wait til nearer time anyway - everyone is different, you just don't know - try to stay positive. I panicked on the Intralipid inusion as didn't get it straight away but it all worked out fine. Click on the link above and get to the end of the thread and then post and hopefully someone who has gone through similar will reassure you xxx

Sorry, hit send too quick!
On prednisolene 6 days. Can't sleep! My question is, has anyone any success stories of starting the treatment for HIGH NK CELLS on positive pregnancy test? I found out I had high activity and count 2 days before I got positive test so was out on the progesterone, prednisolene. I had been taking aspirin for 8 was. Saw shehata on NHS who gave me the above prescription. Then went to a private consultant today - Dr Gorgy who prescribed me clexane injections to start in the morning! He gave me an intralipid also yesterday. I'm so worried it's too late and I should have started the intralipids and pred on day of ovulation... Some success stories please! I've had 3 miscarriages. Xx

Hi, I have just been given 20mg predisolone (and progesterone) to take from BFP, due to raised Natural killer cells. However I think I need to take the predisolone from implantation as this is when several of mine fail and they then take one/two weeks to miscarry. I know this as I often get BFP followed by BFN. I also get strong Nausea from conception that tails off about a week after possible implantation. So can I have some advice/ experience / rational for taking predisolone out ovulation as opposed to on BFP? Also some reassurance about taking predisolone as worried about effect on baby (if I ever get one 😉) thanks x

Rosa- this happens to me all the time, or I get them in what appears to be a muddled order, which I then feel I want to post and end up with 3 or 4 of mine next to each other Confused then I look slightly strange Grin

advice required **
Can I drink alcohol on pred? Night out tonight with mummies from school and fear I will be questioned as I am a party girl Blush

Does anyone else post then look later and realise loads of posts before their post they never saw before? Looks like I just ignored all the new and good news people! Maybe because I'm on my phone.
Congrats Bootle.. Stay positive and take each day as it comes. I know how hard that is!
Determined- don't worry too much about not taking pred for couple of days.. It's in your system. If still no show of af Monday see if you can get a blood preg test at doctors? Best of luck x

Thanks for the nice welcome all and good luck for the blood test hope! Have my fingers crossed for you!

Unfortunately I ended up doing another preg test last night (stupid really but I just needed to) and the line was barely there, another one this morning confirms the same so my HCG has dive bombed! Has anyone experienced this on pred etc so early? Shall I stop the meds? Not sure what to do as I obviously want things to get back to 'normal' if you know what I mean. Barely got out of the starting blocks!!
Wishing everyone a great weekend x

Congratulations bootle and determined what fab news! Hope your hcg levels go well hope.
Trying enjoy your weekend away and love seeing you feel positive!
Yes on me a treatment plan it said about no symptoms also on dispensing the 'drugs' he mentions this.
We have our check up appointment on 10/1/15 in Epsom.
Did anyone have a miracle after first cycle on pred?
Also did everyone tell you how ill you look 3 days into taking them? I am now on day 5 and feel lethargic but wondering if just happens to be coincidence and I am getting poorly (not ttc on pred issues at all.)

Got up spend the night calming down the neighbours baby as she had got in a stew ( the crying in tiredness smelling mothers milk can't settle with her type cry) then with my 4 week old nephew as mum needed help popping 2 year old to bed, it all came flooding back as if were yesterday and daughter 7 in just 3 monthsShock

Hi all. Great all going well in the important ways for you guys- Free & Hope :)
Thanks Hope & Iggi for tips on accu. Will def try your recommendation. Iggi please let me know too. I e been to someone good at Mulberry House and Ming Chen in Leith who's excellent .. But you know that way you just want everything to be different each time?
Having been allergic to Humira I now seem not to be doing well on Hydroxy so decided to stay off pred this month too. Seeing mr S mid Dec so will ask him if I'm a hopeless case then as seem to be struggling to conceive as well as deal with the medication. So feeling pretty rubbish at mo but doing best to stay up. Looking forward to Christmas.. Have wee niece and nephew to buy presents for and hope to recharge from work a bit which is always so full on. Sorry for a long ramble on me.
Looking forward to reading more good news here from you all. Happy weekend x

trying I meant I feel really uncomfortable not being aware of my symptoms, but I am definitely a bit reassured to know that pred can have this effect. Thank you. Have a good weekend away and just enjoy!

Hi Bootles, Louise at Dr Shehata's office also told me pred masks symptoms. When I asked which specific symptoms (ok, so I'm being a bit neurotic at the moment...) she said sickness and sore boobs. She told me it is used to treat severe morning sickness too. I have been a bit nauseous and sore-ish boobs but nothing that noticeable.
I was just looking over old posts and can so relate to what everyone was saying about missing London. I lived in New York until four years ago when we came back home to have babies and I still miss it so much! I always feel better about the baby stuff when we visit. I think a lot of us have been living parallel lives on this thread!
Will let you know how I get on with the bloods tomorrow. Hope you all have a good Friday night!

Thank you so much guys for your input, I really appreciate it. Good to know its actually written on Mr S's info. trying I tried to have a quick look up thread, hope you get your bfp soon, and freelance wow not long to go! determined best of luck with this one. Its so weird not to really feel pregnant, I am so much more comfortable feeling everything and having a pretty good idea what is happening. Well, such is pregnancy on pred, I'll just have to wait until the next scan.

Hi everyone...I hope you don't mind me joining. Been a bit of a lurker for a while whilst on this journey and have found this thread incredibly supportive so thank you - You are all very inspiring! :)

Am currently under Dr S for raised NK cells, high thyroid antibodies (and have MTHFR and PCOS too).

Bootles to add to Freelances post I am newly pregnant (5 weeks) and on prednisolone and intralipids etc. I had to check with the midwife this week regarding symptoms being masked as I do not feel pregnant at all (I know its early days, but like you I normally just know). The pred can mask all types of symptoms and I even double checked it masking things like breast tenderness and I was assured it can do! Hopefully that gives you some encouragement with things.

Hope all is well with everyone else wherever you are on your journey! Bit of a rollercoaster isn't it :)

Hi Bootles, sorry to hear of your losses. The good news is we have had scores of 'Pred babies' here on this thread so hopefully you are on the right course of action now. Yes the steroids can definitely mask symptoms - in our experience and also the doctors confirm this. Also - I am 35 weeks pregnant with what will hopefully be our second pred baby - I find each pregnancy is different. At 6 weeks with this one I wasn't really getting any symptoms but a week or so later felt really nauseous and tired.

Hope. Great that your EPU does HCG tests! And that yours look good.

Hope let us know they r rising. I'm sure they will be. It's natural to worry about every single ache and pain...glad the levels looking good now.

Bootles-pred can def mask morning sickness. In fact I think back in the day it was used as a treatment! And it's on the mr s plan that it can mask symptoms (as in written on our info sheet). Hope that makes you feel better and good luck.

Hi, I'm sorry to barge in on here. I usually spend a lot of time on the RMC thread, but have a very specific prednisolone question so thought I would drop in here, if that's ok.

I have had 4 losses in a row, and am now 6+2 pg, on the Coventry protocol after being found to have high intrauterine NK cells of 6.1 (so only just high)

Has anyone experienced a masking of pg symptoms on prednisolone, or been advised that this can happen? Although it is still very early for me, I have always known what is going on with a pg by my symptoms. I feel a bit off, a bit breathless (which I always get in early pg) but otherwise ok. It is really disturbing me. So far I have just had an early scan to check all in the right place, and its 2 weeks until my next scan.

Any words of wisdom?

Nice to see bfp's on here too, and hope everyone is doing ok.

Thanks so much! Feels very much like first step at the mo. I ended up at the early pregnancy unit today because of the back pain I've been having. They took my hgc levels and apparently I'm at 2017 which is pretty good for four and a half weeks. I go back on Saturday to find out if it is still rising. Just wish the back pain would ease off. Louise said the heparin might be to blame so I'm hoping that is the case! Just hoping Saturday goes well...
Not long for you now free! You must be so excited! Hi to everyone else too, xx

Hi all, had a crazy few days with work so haven't bend able to check mumsnet properly, but you have all been in my thoughts lots. I want to write a proper post later to write more individually but just wanted to let you know about my acupuncturist rosa. She is based in the new town in Edinburgh at the Albany clinic and is called Fiona Wolfenden. I'm off to see her again this morning! I don't know if it is coincidence but every time I see her twice in a month I get pregnant. She used to be a nurse and has a specialism in fertility. She is great for a natter and making suggestions too! I really like her!
Yesterday, was tricky because I had lower back pain for a large part of the day. On the other hand I was stuck in traffic on the M8 for a five hour found trip and sitting on a dodgy chair in between. I have still been really worried but just did another test now and it is super strong. Hopefully things will settle down today. The night before last I was up all night being sick. Feels a bit early for morning sickness so I'm wondering if it is the progesterone or something else. Boobs aren't that sore, although they should be soon with all the poking I've been doing! I'm just so hoping this little one stays put. My next target is six weeks and so I have a week and a half to go...
Sending all of my most positive and best thoughts for lots of BFPs this month! It will happen!
