In Grin news though I accepted the new job Grin Grin Grin !!!! Work/life balance here I come! Just one more half term to get through after I hand in my notice.....

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 18:13

Oh Otters. I'm so so sorry to hear that. I hope you can get an appt soon and someone can offer you some answers. Hang on in there xxx

Beaky, sorry I missed your question before. The aspirin acts as a blood thinner so can assist with implantation, particularly if you've got shitty blood like mine that clots too much and can interfere with this process ( as well as the entire process of pregnancy). Lots of women take it regardless of if they have thrombophilia or not. up May heard of it referred to as baby aspirin? Pe

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 18:13

Oh for gods sake I pressed send too soon then...

winohhh · 05/05/2014 18:15

Oh shit, so sorry otters. How awful. I hope they do some serious investigating so this doesn't happen again.

Barking, sorry AF still hasn't turned up. What a contrary fucker! Hoping she arrives soon. Congrats on the new job though!! Hang on in there, not long now!

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 18:15

Meant to say you may have heard it referred to as baby aspirin? It's typically taken after ovulation at a dose of 75mg.

Congrats on the new job Barking!! A good move I think.

winohhh · 05/05/2014 18:23

So, I might not have a uti after all. I've been drinking loads and the symptoms seem to have subsided. That's never happened with other uti's I've had. Who knows. Going to keep drinking and try dtd later.

Winohhh, ttc since march 2013, high fsh, mmc feb 2014. Trying naturally for a few months before moving onto ivf.

beakybeak · 05/05/2014 18:33

Otters I'm so sorry Thanks thinking of you. Good luck with the FC and we are here for you whenever you need.

Gill haha nice sentence Grin but at least now I understand!

Funky I do the cb digis with fmu only one a day been using them for a year so I'm proper confused. Either I've oved really early or not yet but my usual peak is around day 12 which is tomorrow. I'll keep going with them though. I am still having the crampiness and pains (or the alien is still there) as before so wondering if I should go to the GP. Thanks for the info re baby aspirin, Funky I had no idea about that.

Barking congratulations on the new job! Good move. Will you still get summer hols or not?

barkingtreefrog · 05/05/2014 18:41

beaky They wanted me to start asap but I told them mid August as I'd already booked my summer holiday and would be away for 3 weeks!

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 18:43

Glad you've managed to fend it off wino!

Beaky, maybe ov bleeding then? Usually is day or so before. No idea about the ov tests though! Confusing. Put bodies like to fuck us around when we are already pissed off at them. Much like Barkings is doing to her now. Come on af!

HampshireBlues · 05/05/2014 18:48

Otters so sorry to hear your news, I had everything crossed that this would be a keeper. I'm glad that FC are looking into things - we're here when you are ready.

Barking good news on the job and boo to AF for messing you around, it's bloody typical; you don't want it and it turns up, you want it and it's nowhere in site!

So good scan today, more follies found and good size (although left ovary not up to much) which means EC Wednesday. Am enjoying the pessary talk oh we are so lucky to be women!

lumen · 05/05/2014 18:53

Big hugs Otters. Congrats Barking on the new job and I hope AF turns up soon. Mine was late for first time in ages this month, and I was waiting so I could schedule in IVF.

Bushy you are my font of all IVF treatment knowledge Wink. Hope you will stick around to the end of June to answer all my questions when I have forgotten it allGrin (with baby Bushy onboard)

Back to work tomorrow Hmm the weekend has gone too quick. Hi other Berries Smile

lumen · 05/05/2014 18:56

Good news on the scan HB. Will be sending good egg collection thoughts your way on weds x

beakybeak · 05/05/2014 19:50

Great news HB will be sending positive berry vibes to you on Wednesday for EC! Grin

Gillster · 05/05/2014 20:20

So sorry to have your worst fears confirmed Otters. Look after yourself and DP and hopefully you'll make some progress with the FC very shortly.

Well done on the follies HB, sending good egg vibes for EC on Weds.

Congratulations on the job Barking! I'm very much for work life balance and if things don't work out you can always fall back on your teaching. Hoping AF shows up soon. Are you sure you don't fancy POAS again??

That's interesting news re: the aspirin and implantation. I'll definitely be taking some once my embies are put back. Lady also mentioned pineapple juice which I'll also be investigating.

RosieintheAlps · 05/05/2014 20:25

Oh Otters, I am so sorry this has happened to you again. Big hugs from me too.

Barking, congrats on the job! HB congrats on the follies and good luck on Wednesday. All this activity here makes waiting for the next appointment in July seemingly more bearable. At least I can see progress with you lot Smile

beaky, I've been using the CBFM digi sticks too and they confused me with protracted phases of low/ high fertility and apparently no peak (ov) but I have been keeping myself from checking the test lines. Unfortunately, I really don't have any idea how bleeding and low fertility on CD12 could be connected, so maybe seeing the GP is a good idea, especially if you are in pain and concerned (and may be harbouring an alien). Only other explanation I can come up with is that even those with regular ov/ cycles may have cycles without ov, at least this is what my doctor told me.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was on Friday. Hope you all had a great weekend.

TheRainDrops · 05/05/2014 20:48

Waxy undercrackers and bum seepage? You ladies are something else! Glad I already ate my tea..... Grin

Great news hb, how are you feeling? Ready for game time?

Are/Have any of you IVFers having/had acupuncture during the process?

Barking congratulations on the job! I am sure this will turn out to be a fantastic decision for many reasons, the least of all being ttc related. Sorry the witch is still playing hide & seek with you, hopefully you won't be waiting too long.

win I thought I was getting cystitis this weekend as it felt odd when I peed but it's gone now. I think maybe things just got a bit too... energetic! Glad you've fended yours off so shag week can continue!

Anyone else here got an ipad? Mine is doing my nut in (yy, first world problem I know...) - since updating it has started replacing commas with exclamation marks for no good reason and it's infuriating. Stop making me look like an over excitable fool you stupid machine! (That one was deliberate Wink)

Back to work tomorrow, while I do love a long weekend, the 4 day week is pretty shite - still got to squeeze 5 days work into it somehow! Oh well, 9 more working days till holibobs, yaaaaaay!

Hope all you other lovely berries had great BH weekends Smile

RevoltingPeasant · 05/05/2014 20:55

otters hugs. Hope you can come back soon.

RevoltingPeasant · 05/05/2014 21:02

Barking congrats on the throb. I agree it sounds like the best thing.

Sorry for sporadic posting - have been away this weekend! V exciting as we "changed cars", that is, my mum bought a new car so very kindly gave me her old one, and I in turn donated my Yaris to DSis4 who still lives at home (just finished uni) and can use it to learn on. So I have a new-old car! I am paranoid about something happening to it now, or accidentally crashing it Confused A woman at the services today accidentally opened her door against it and I got out to glare at her, which is very uncharacteristic!

We also have a new boiler coming tomorrow - ahhh hot water at long, long last! So it's all going on.

So now I need a bfp to make it all perfect.... Roll on OV!

RevoltingPeasant · 05/05/2014 21:04

Jesus. Job, job. You may also be throbbing but I don't need to know Hmm

Grin
funkymonk · 05/05/2014 21:49

Hahaha RP! You never fail to make me chuckle!

Good stuff HB! Good things happen in 3's, so I reckon that's you, Lady and Bushy for a full house!

No, Raindrops, I don't have an iPad. I only just got an iPhone and that was my first Apple venture. Glad you enjoyed the waxy seepage 'ness chat!

I'm going to have a go at starting a new thread Hang on a mo...

HampshireBlues · 05/05/2014 21:49

I nearly spat our my milk at the throbbing comment, you have to love predictive text!

I am actually feeling fairly calm, but have these little excited moments. I can't believe that we actually conceive on wednesday - just need it to stick! No acupuncture during my IVF as the clinic wanted me to use their bod (which was pretty expensive). Did have some last year and it regulated my cycle nicely but I didn't feel it did anything else for me.

beakybeak · 05/05/2014 21:55

Hahaha RP actually laughed out loud a lot at throb and dh had to ask why I was laughing! Woohoo to new boiler and car too, have you been driving anywhere and everywhere just to try it out?!

Rosie I know what you mean, they do sometimes go on a while with high fertility! I've not had a problem before like this but will just keep using them and see what happens. July will fly here for your next appointment Smile

Rain yes, cramming 5 days into 4 is rubbish but oo 9 days will fly until your hols. Did you get everything you needed for your oh?

lumen · 05/05/2014 21:57

No acupuncture RainDrops but I am trying reflexology with a lady who specialises in fertility.

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 22:00

After my recent run of spelling errors I created a thread with an error on. I reported it to Mumsnet and set up this second one. So everyone please stop at this one instead.

Everyone pack up the furniture and board the Sausage Shuttle. We should leave a note at HQ for Boodle and Pip and any others that are currently MIA.

greatbigbushybeard · 05/05/2014 22:15

funky think you need to get waxy seepage in the title, along with sniffing willies from earlier!!

hb yay for Wednesday egg collection. It's all a bit unbelievable isn't it!!

lumen glad I can be someone's font of knowledge!

barking think the new job will be a really good move.

raindrop I'm posting on I pad no problem. I haven't had acupuncture. I did do yoga until my treatment week but I do it anyway. I think the idea is to keep relaxed so do whatever helps you. Although the doctor said mild exercise is ok, I'm a bit unsure whether to go back to yoga tomorrow. I'm sure I goggled about time after transfer and came across leaving everything for 5 days then resuming activity and also sure I saw something about avoiding things that put stress on abdomen or that twist...this is the problem when you google! I suppose I could either tell the yoga teacher or give it all a miss for the 2 weeks or leave it this week and try it next or do some home DIY yoga... What to do, what to do.. lady, happy what did you do re activity wise?
