How frustrating Barking! None of the usual spotting?

Well done Feather!

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 00:10

Have any of you unexplained infertility berries been tested for thrombophilia? It's not part of standard tests usually. My recent research after finding out what type I have has revealed that it's actually not that unusual. I never knew I had it until ttc. I was on the pill for 14 years with no incidents. Just a thought.

barkingtreefrog · 05/05/2014 06:29

funky I'm on day 5 of 'rummage and you'll find a bit of blood' but nothing in my knickers... Don't know whether it's the flying, the wheat free, stopping the chinese herbs & vit b ready for the iui.... Hopefully they'll be able to tell me from the scan what's going on. cd 30 now, last cycle was 26 days Angry .

FeatherFeather11 · 05/05/2014 07:34

barking it could well be the long-haul flying. I'm from that part of the world originally and fly there a lot and it always affects my cycle. Mess'a with your circadian rhythm, apparently.

ladybunnikins · 05/05/2014 07:35

Funky no but I think our clinic offers it in their private tests. I think if this cycle fails we'll think about doing them but I've put myself on low dose aspirin anyway post- embryo transfer.

barkingtreefrog · 05/05/2014 09:08

Properly fed up now. Scan same as Saturday. No bleeding. Had a blood test to check fh/fsh/ostradial (sp?) and I've got to call at 2 for the results. All my body had to do this cycle was to start bleeding ffs, and it couldn't even manage that. Feeling very emotional. The nurse suggested I might need to take provera to bring on a bleed, but that could take another 10 days. I was supposed to have started stabbing by now, I was all excited, and now I've not got a sodding clue what's going on apart from knowing that it's now likely to fuck up all the dates and cause the most inconvenience possible. ARSE Angry Sad

Bunnygirlie · 05/05/2014 09:28

Oh barking that's crap. I have no advice but wanted to pop in and hand hold x

bushy and lady hope the longest 2ww ever is going ok. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Smile
happylass · 05/05/2014 11:06

Barking so sorry AF is being a total arse. How annoying that the one time you actually want it to show up it doesn't. Have some Flowers and Cake. Fx that it all gets sorted for you soon and you can start your IUI.

It's bloody irony barking! Sorry it's being so frustrating for you. I think feather is right about flying affecting your cycle and the 'circadian' rhythms.

Just scared myself with googling after phone call from clinic asking did we want to freeze our one good embryo. We said yes and it's not inc on nhs. I was then worried that we had scuppered our chances of any future nhs cycles. After talking to partner I think it's fine. Basically the frozen one is there so they could use it if this cycle fails, but also it's there in case,in the future, we wanted a sibling- obv that would have to be self funded. (but tbh I would be very grateful for just one)I think I'm getting ahead of myself and need to get back to the here and now as my mind is starting to run away with itself. Has anyone had a frozen embie put in? Just curious really.

Oh and for all those that thought my clinic was a bit perverted putting the pessaries up the back door, my dh asked why and was told it's because they're so messy and when doing the et, they need it really clean. They've now said after et that I can choose which way, so had a little experiment with vaginally ( sounds sooo wrong doesn't it!!) and I can see what they mean re mess. I found it makes the panty liner and your undercrackers all waxy! Or is it just me??!!

Anyway enjoy the bank hol ladies-yay and only a 4 day week, phew x

winohhh · 05/05/2014 11:26

Argh, I hate my body!! All signs would indicate I'm due to ovulate today, and I wake up with symptoms of a uti. Any advice berries?? Can I power through and dtd anyway?

greatbigbushybeard · 05/05/2014 11:28

happy you've made me happy as until you added I was the oldest on the list!!

greatbigbushybeard · 05/05/2014 11:30

Ooh winooh I don't know but cranberry juice is always meant to be good. See how you feel, if you've done it before today then the sperm will still be in your system so able to catch your egg without uncomfortable dtd.

winohhh · 05/05/2014 11:30

Happy, don't worry I'm 37! Will add myself later when I'm not busy googling uti/ ovulation/ dhea/ bladder pressure/ ttc.

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 12:02

Bushy good news about having a frostie! As far as I know no berries have used a frozen one as yet?

I had progesterone pessaries albeit for a couple of days on last pregnancy. What a horrible waxy mess! Ruins your knickers and only washed out after 2 washes and even then was a little bit visible!!

Oh barking. I'm feeling your frustration. Why can things never work out the way they should.

Wino I had a uti come on 2 days after ovulation last time. I wanted the dtd one more time but couldn't bear it. Had to take antibiotics in the end. Managed to get apparent pregnancy friendly ones but still wasn't very happy as I'm site any irritation down there may bugger up implantation changes! Drink loads of water and wash that blasted uti out!

I think the aspirin is a good idea lady for all women after ov. It can't do any harm anyway so certainly worth the try .

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 12:03

Damn it! Why do I always notice my spelling errors the instant I press post!

beakybeak · 05/05/2014 14:30

What does the aspirin do Lady and Funky?

Bushy great news on the frostie! Sorry I don't know much else to help you out. Also this may be going too far into it, but why is the progesterone pessary not as messy both ways??

I am cd11 today, my cbdigi sticks say low fertility still but when I take the stick out the second line is fading and lighter than Saturday. Also have bright red blood when wipe (sorry tmi and grim!) I don't understand Confused any ideas berries?

Was it your scan today HB? Hope everything went ok if so. And Otters how are you getting on?

Bunnygirlie · 05/05/2014 15:05

Sorry me again. bushy that's why I stuck with bum bullets Shock

Gillster · 05/05/2014 15:06

I'll be using frozen embies in July (hopefully) Bushy.

Not looking forward to the bum bullets though after all this chat of waxy knickers! Blush. I imagine it's slightly less messy up the back package because the sphincter muscle is tighter and therefore keeps it in better so less seepage. (Can't believe I've just posted that sentence!)

Can someone add me to the list (to keep Happy happy)!

Gillster, 40, TTC Feb 2012, awaiting removal of polyp (June), hoping for two frozen embies to be popped back into my "springy palace of the child" sometime in July.

Gillster · 05/05/2014 15:08

Beaky I think Funky had similar bleeding. I too had major spotting at CD12 but with old rather than red blood.

funkymonk · 05/05/2014 16:56

Haha gill at your seepage sentence! Sorry on phone so can't add you at mo.

Beaky I don't understand about the digi sticks. Maybe you're doing them at different times of day or urine more diluted? I have had mid cycle bleeding for a day or so on this cycle and my jan and feb cycles this year. I'm going to ask about it at my clinic appt on 13th may. What day would you normally ovulate?

OttersPocket · 05/05/2014 17:02

Hullo Berries, I'm just popping my nose in to say hi and to add myself to the list. I started bleeding today so sadly this pregnancy was a no-go. The fertility clinic want to get me in as soon as possible to check things over as that's over two years ttc and two miscarriages now.

Otters, 32, ttc since March 2012, BFP Sep 2013, MMC Nov 2013, BFP April 2014, MC May 2014, 10th round Clomid, IVF referral soon.

I might be a bit quiet over the next week - I'm having a bit of a break from mn just for a few days to get my head back in a better place.

Thanks for the support and concern, I'll be back soon Smile

TheRainDrops · 05/05/2014 17:09

Just popping in to give some (((hugs))) to otters. I'm so, so sorry it didn't work out, hopefully your FC will step things up a bit for you now. Take all the time you need, we'll all be here when you're ready to come back .

greatbigbushybeard · 05/05/2014 17:24

Oh otters how shitty. We'll all still be here for you x

Gilster you've got it spot on re the seepage. There are so many things nowadays that I can't believe I'm writing or doing. All so un dignified! Tbh doing them rectally is not too much bother as long as you can fit in taking them around your bowel movements and not messy so no waxy knickers.

barkingtreefrog · 05/05/2014 17:30

So sorry otters, really good news that your FC are checking you over though. Take care of yourself and come back when you're ready Thanks .

Gillster that's exactly the explanation I got from the nurse when she told me the pessaries could go either way but the bum was less messy!

I've got to have another scan tomorrow morning. This is costing a fortune in hospital parking!!! Still no bleeding..... Would anyone like to join me in a blood letting Aztec style ritual? Hmm
