Haha Barking call me Sigourney! Have you decided about job yet?

Thanks Gill and Funky when I had a dildocam in feb she said there was an ovarian cyst so I'm wondering if that's related. At my follow up the dr dismissed it as unimportant as said it would have gone. Has your cramps/bleeding stopped yet Funky?

How are you getting on Lady?

Rain good luck for shopping for your fella! That sounds like a hard day.

Happy sorry for the diff announcements, hopefully you will be putting your own one on soon.

I've had me eyelashes done this morning and stocked up on veg, gluten free stuff and sparkly wine woohoo! My bh is rocking. Hmm

beakybeak · 03/05/2014 13:29

Just saw your post Otters think of you Thanks

barkingtreefrog · 03/05/2014 14:35

beaky I think I've pretty much decided to take it. Got a meeting on Monday morning to talk about it. I will massively miss the children and the classroom but right now I have 30 writing assessments waiting to be marked, numeracy planning to do, intervention analysis, risk assessments for a class trip etc etc and it's completely ruining my weekend knowing that at some point I need to sit down and start working. So just being able to get rid of that would be amazing. And hopefully will be enough to cope with the drastic reduction in holiday....

Still no AF here but I feel like shit and am crying for no reason so it has to be on the way!!! Hmm If I can't start stabbing tomorrow I'm going to be on a residential trip the day I'm supposed to go in for the pregnancy test and results, so it needs to get a bloody move on!!!!

bushy good luck for tomorrow

otters hope you're enjoying your fantasy homes trip, sorry you're still in limbo land.

WildflowerMarmalade · 03/05/2014 15:30

Hello Otters fantasy house shopping sounds like it might even work as a distraction. Hope it helps.

barking it sounds as if the new job could give you a lot of things that you would really like. Properly free weekends with no work hanging over you being one benefit.

On the stress-affecting-fertility thing I agree with bushy stress must be able to affect you but that doesn't mean it's a case of 'just relax' and it will happen for you. That whole idea is so annoying, as if it is all your fault that you aren't getting pregnant.

I do also agree with others who point out that women get pregnant while in war zones etc, so stress is hardly the only factor at work.

For all those pondering changing jobs and how it will affect mat leave etc the Emma Cannon book also points out that there is a possible risk to sticking it out at a job you find hard just because it will work better with a pregnancy and a baby. It can put even more pressure on getting the BFP. I know that struck a chord with me and reminded me that my whole life is important, not just the BFP thing.

ladybunnikins · 03/05/2014 15:33

Good luck tomorrow Bushy! Re: sex, we were told not until we've done the pregnancy test. If it was positive I think I'd be too scared to do it anyway in case we dislodge anything..
Otters hope you're holding up OK, show home browsing sounds fun though.
I'm just analyzing every twinge, I've got some bloating today similar to after egg collection but milder so getting my hopes up slightly that it's due to HCG building up. Going for a walk in this lovely sunshine now to take my mind off symptom spotting.

tigerdog · 03/05/2014 17:26

Hola!

My my, it has been a busy week in Berry HQ, I'm not sure I can keep up!! Will have a proper read through later. Sounds as though lots of people are on the cusp of exciting developments!

Otters I have everything crossed for a positive outcome for you x

Lady, bushy, hb hope you're all doing well at your various stages of ivf!

Hello to any newbies!

just killing time till we leave for the airport and catch our flight home. It has been a fabulously relaxing week, can't remember the last time I chilled out this much without feeling guilty! I also indulged in yummy non pg friendly food and drink all week - sushi, shellfish, cured meat, non pasteurized cheeses and plentiful wine! It felt good not to be constantly watching what I eat. Back to the health kick tomorrow though.

Waves to everyone else!

Viperama · 03/05/2014 19:43

Wildflower your post is spot on, just shared it with DP. Putting my wants and desires (job, food, drink, holiday plans etc) on hold every month puts so much pressure on me to get BFP.

I made a decision last weekend re the job, and now I'm going doing it with everything else, fuck it, I come first. If/when we are blessed with a BFP I will change but until then I need to start meeting my needs again.

I had three tequila margaritas with Mexican food last night, it was awesome! I'm due tmrw, maybe I'll have a Mexican BFP?

lumen · 03/05/2014 21:04

Am babysitting two of my nieces and nephews at the moment (have 6 in total!) so not much time, just wanted to say thinking of you Otters and good luck tomorrow Bushy, will be thinking plentiful egg collection thoughts. All the questions you have asking are ones that I gave been thinking about so very useful!

Good luck to those planning to change jobs, I moved to a new role in Jan, same company but better work/life balance (no change in maternity benefits though as same company).

Do you have any hcg tests booked in lady? Is that only after a positive pg test?

to everyone else! happy 3 day weekend x

greatbigbushybeard · 03/05/2014 22:05

Arriba viperama!! Lumen thanks for good wishes! seems a bit unreal! Just wondering how much like a pg woman I'm going to have to behave e.g. Avoiding certain foods. Dh has just made a mean tiramisu for tomorrow so that's mascarpone, coffee and sherry and rum in it! Also got left over cannelloni which has goats cheese, ricotta and Parmesan in it- would I be ok eating that? Also have open white wine but may just have to leave that alone!

HampshireBlues · 03/05/2014 22:06

Good luck for tomorrow Bushy hope all goes well.

Thank you all for positive thoughts; feeling rough this evening so hoping that is a positive sign. Baby shower was lovely and I am so pleased for my friend that it wasn't that difficult.

Viper tequila margaritas sounds fun! Glad you've come to some decisions.

Lady hope the walk was good (lovely day for it) am keeping everything crossed.

beakybeak · 04/05/2014 10:22

Good luck for today Bushy

Hope everyone else is having a great bank hol so far Grin

tigerdog · 04/05/2014 10:33

TheRainDrops · 04/05/2014 11:00

Go bushy embies!

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 11:32

Good luck bushy!

Welcome home from holidays tiger. Glad you got a good amount of non pg friendly activities in!

Otter, how are you this morning?

Beaky, no more bleeding here thank goodness. Was freaking me out. Hope your alien has settled down and your cramps gone.

Have a good Sunday all!

FeatherFeather11 · 04/05/2014 13:26

Good luck today bushy!!

greatbigbushybeard · 04/05/2014 15:14

Hello! 1 embie safely on board! All went well thanks. Nurse said I got gold star for full bladder ;everyone else that morning had said they were full but weren't! Procedure was a little uncomfortable and a little un dignified but fine really. The nurse and doctor were lovely. The one they put in was a clear leader and was from icsi. There were 7 out of 9 that matured, I think, and they will culture them on to see if they will be suitable for freezing. They asked us what we were doing next and dh said I'm taking her out for lunch, they gave him a gold star for that too!! The nurse even recommended a nice place on our way back for lunch, which we found and had a lovely walk in the sunshine and an ice cream.

She did say my ovaries were swollen so that is why I've been feeling bloated and will continue to.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the lovely weather!

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 15:15

Refreshing repeatedly on my phone waiting for an update. Hope it's gone well Bushy.

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 15:17

Great news Bushy! Get comfortable, little embryo!

TheRainDrops · 04/05/2014 15:24

Woop, another PUPO! It all sounds good bushy and great that you've got a full day and a bit to just chillax and let that emby-soon-to-be-real-life-baby get comfy.

otters hope you're well, sorry that there's still so much uncertainty. Wishing the best outcome for you Thanks

tiger I hope you had a fab holiday! sounds like it was tres relaxing and indulgent! I am off on my own in a fortnight, too late to get bikini ready at this point but I am going to try not to get any fatter!

Not much to report here. OV'ed yesterday so it's been shag central here but in a good way, we've actually been having FUN for the first time since the MC - can't tell you how nice it is to get that feeling back.
Went out for dinner with friends last night and drank far too much wine, resulting in me falling off our doorstep when we got home (I was trying to pick the damn cat up) - cue injured knee and shoulder today. What a prat. MrP did very well not laughing at me.

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 16:25

Hurrah Bushy!! Another PUPO berry! Hope you had a lovely relaxing lunch and Mr Bushy is continuing to do a good job of taking care of you.

Haha Raindrop at your drunken injuries!! Happy to hear that you've managed some fun during shag week rather than the usual chore of ttc sex!

Not long until OTD Lady! How are you feeling?

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 16:28

Oh and hi Feather on your galloping horse!

What happened to the new list? Think it fell off a few pages back. I'm on phone now but will find it and copy it when on computer later, unless someone wants to do it who still needs to add themselves. Not far off new thread either so I'll get the sausage shuttle out of the garage in preparation.

barkingtreefrog · 04/05/2014 16:34

PUPO!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

TheRainDrops · 04/05/2014 16:40

I never got round to adding myself, i think the below is as far as it got, still missing lots of Berries!

barkingtreefrog 34 (for one more month), ttc since Jan 2012. 8 day LP. Clomid bfp, mc sept 13, cycles messed up since. Starting IUI possibly this weekend?!
Nolly, 32, ttc 19 months, unexplained infertility, PCO though who knows, clomid cycle 2 as of today.
Funkymonk 32, ttc 19 months. Factor v Leiden thrombophilia. Mc July 2013 and dec 2013 (5 weeks and 8 weeks). I suspect low progesterone due to shorter LP, light af and pre af spotting, but FC say not. dh lowish count and lowish morphology.
Ladybunnikins 35, ttc since Jan 2012. Unexplained. IVF#1 Oct 2013 - chemical. IVF#2 OTD 9th May
TheRainDrops (FKA Parsley), 32 (till next month!), ttc since March 2012, unexplained, BFP Sep 2013, MMC Nov 2013, back to FC in July (hurry up!)

HampshireBlues · 04/05/2014 16:47

Yay Bushy PUPO! And well done MrB for looking after you.
Raindrops loving the (slightly) drunken story; am glad that you've managed to have some fun.

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 16:48

OK, thanks, Funky, no symptoms today at all (apart from a ridiculously faint line on a tesco test but I'm only 4dp5dt, 10 days since HCG trigger shot, so will retest tomorrow - I'm a PIMPaholic).
