Arr thanks guys! Gulp bit scary too! raindrops love that you're living it up,enjoy that wine whilst you can, had my last glass last night! My body is now a temple lol! The falling off the doorstep made me laugh too! That's a UDI-un identified drinking injury!

Dh made me laugh today at et saying that there wasn't a little Amazonian man with a blow dart to shoot it up there!!

In a quandary over whether to eat dh's tiramisu later as has mascarpone in it. He seems to think it's fine as it's not in it's 'parasitic' phase yet (his words). Doctor just said avoid foods that would give you food poisoning and blue cheeses, nurse said should be pasteurised and to look at the label and the website of foods safe/ not safe during pg. I fished out the packs from bin and only the goats cheese says pasteurised. The mascarpone and ricotta say soft cheese and surprisingly the Parmesan says made with unpasteurised milk! This maybe the start of checking a load of foods!!It's a hard one as I think well in one hand doc and dh is right, on other nurse... Maybe will have a little, finish the cannelloni and then that's it, no more questionable stuff. Dh asked me did I want a wine or cider with lunch and I said neither, he looked at me a bit funny! Def will avoid. How about you lady?

Sorry for being a bit dim but I'm unsure of how to add myself. Could someone tell me or add me on:

Greatbigbushybeard, 35, ttc since dec 2011, IVF Number 1, OTD 15th May- eek!

greatbigbushybeard · 04/05/2014 17:07

Lady what does 4dp5dt mean? You're brave testing before date. I am firmly waiting until OTD. It's actually sooner than I thought it would be.

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 17:18

Bushy I looked at the NHS website, it's just soft cheeses like brie/camembert that need to be avoided. Philadelphia, ricotta ok. would have thought marscapone is OK. Parmesan is listed as a hard cheese that is OK.
4dp5dt =4 days post 5 day transfer or 9dpo. DH can't come with me on OTD so I'm testing early to prepare myself for Friday.

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 17:22

It's 4 days post 5 day transfer bushy. At least I think! I would prob suggest laying off anything to eat that you aren't sure about. Not that it would prob matter at this early stage but your body is now a PUPO palace!!!

So that's 9dpo kind of Lady? You're very naughty for pimping already, although I'm sure I would be the same! Are you going to test each morning then?

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 17:22

Oops cross post!

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 17:52

Probably! I did last time.

funkymonk · 04/05/2014 18:07

Well hopefully you'll see those lines get darker and darker Lady.

Barking, any sign of af today?

winohhh · 04/05/2014 18:10

So much happening!!! Fingers crossed for all you pupo ladies!!

Barking, has AF arrived yet?

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 18:42

BFN on a FRER so at least I know the trigger is out of my system.

beakybeak · 04/05/2014 18:44

Woohoo pupo Bushy all limbs crossed for you and Lady I am willing those embies on Smile

HB is it your next scan tomorrow?

Barking what's happening re iui?

Rain sounds like you've had a lovely weekend except for the injuries!

Funky good idea to power up the sausage shuttle, we are flying through the thread!

Otters how are you? Still keeping everything crossed for you.

Well the baby shower today was lovely but I feel a bit frustrated (which is better than I expected!) am being a godmother soon too which I am over the moon about!

I've added myself to the list;

barkingtreefrog 34 (for one more month), ttc since Jan 2012. 8 day LP. Clomid bfp, mc sept 13, cycles messed up since. Starting IUI possibly this weekend?!
Nolly, 32, ttc 19 months, unexplained infertility, PCO though who knows, clomid cycle 2 as of today.
Funkymonk 32, ttc 19 months. Factor v Leiden thrombophilia. Mc July 2013 and dec 2013 (5 weeks and 8 weeks). I suspect low progesterone due to shorter LP, light af and pre af spotting, but FC say not. dh lowish count and lowish morphology.
Ladybunnikins 35, ttc since Jan 2012. Unexplained. IVF#1 Oct 2013 - chemical. IVF#2 OTD 9th May
TheRainDrops (FKA Parsley), 32 (till next month!), ttc since March 2012, unexplained, BFP Sep 2013, MMC Nov 2013, back to FC in July (hurry up!)
Beaky, 34, ttc since August 2013, unexplained, waiting for first IUI appointment to get going

RosieintheAlps · 04/05/2014 19:09

Wow, lots of activity here.

Great news on embie transfer bushy, will keep fingers for you and Lady crossed. Feel like I am sharing your 2ww and am getting excited for the 9th and 15th respectively.

Otters, really hope the tests will give you a 'proper' (and positive) result soon. I can imagine that this is very confusing.

Welcome back from the holidays, tiger. And welcome to Lumen, everybody on here is so nice and supportive, it's a great place to be (if you forget about the reason for being here in the first place)

Had to laugh at the alien, barking and beaky, think I might be harbouring one, too. Cramps in the left side since Tuesday and DBFM digi keeps telling me my fertility is high (but not peak) since Wednesday! I am waiting to see whether my smear results have cleared up after the tests in January showed some minor cell change. Really hope that this is not something to be added to the list of worries.
Any news on the IUI, barking?

And here is the list:

RosieintheAlps (FKA kami), 36 (still enjoying the birthday bubbles this weekend), ttc 12 months, DP very low count, low motility and progression, next SA in July

TheRainDrops · 04/05/2014 19:47

Grin at the aliens. We've all had plenty of UFOs - unidentified fertility obstacles!!

lady if it's not too cheeky to ask, are you funding your ivf privately or via nhs? As a fellow unexplained my current understanding of our CCGs rules is that we have to have been ttc for 3 years for ivf but I can see from your stats you've been at it a fair bit quicker than that, so just curious really! Hope the wait is passing without too much trouble

barkingtreefrog · 04/05/2014 19:58

beaky have you got your list entry right? ttc since Aug 2013?

rain - lady sneaked a private cycle in while waiting for this current (nhs) cycle as her rules allowed it.

No news over here. Still no bleeding. Looks like I'll be back in for another scan tomorrow, can't start stabbing until I've actually seen blood in my knickers!!!! Grrr. All this pushing forward of dates means that I'm going to be on a school residential trip when I'm supposed to be in for the pregnancy test. Bloody marvellous. Angry

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 20:39

Yes, our area only funds one NHS cycle but you can have up to 2 private cycles before that. I think our guidelines say 2 years of ttc.

greatbigbushybeard · 04/05/2014 21:06

Thanks lady. Glad about the cheese situ, to be on safe side I had a smaller portion of dh's tiramisu, which was hard cus it's bloody lush!! Aghhhh, now I know what the acronym is.

I can't believe how varied the Ivf rules are depending on where you live.

barking don't worry the timing will sort itself out, you might be even later so maybe your test date will be post residential.

tigerdog · 04/05/2014 21:14

lumen · 04/05/2014 21:26

Congrats on being pupo bushy! I agree with that we are now living the 2ww with you and lady. Babysitting and party with 30 kids (!) survived, does make me wonder sometimes why I want to disrupt my peaceful life with babies Grin

Hi to everyone else, on my phone and have terrible memory for what you are all up to, enjoy hols tomorrow x

FeatherFeather11 · 04/05/2014 21:26

Was running late for a train home after a wedding, hence the gallop in and out earlier.

bushy great news! PUPO!! Have everything crossed for you. You too lady - try and keep away from poas if you can for a bit now so you don't drive yourself mental. As for cheese etc bushy, I reckon you can get stuck in to a bit of marscapone and ricotta now - it's raw egg (and bean sprouts) I'd be careful of if I were you as they're the two biggest things - aside from undercooked chicken - that give food poisoning.

Hi everyone else! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

barking new job sounds ace and just the change you may need. Be patient - the witch always holds out when I want her to turn up!

Please could someone add me to the list?

Feather, 35, ttc since nov 2012. Pcos, one tube, 6 x clomid resulting in ectopic in Nov 13. HSG in March showed all-clear. Having acu and losing weight to kick start natural ovulation and it seems to be working. FC appointment in late June.

Ps. Did I mention that I weighed myself the other day and realised I've now lost a stone since Christmas?? I nearly fell off the scales!

lumen · 04/05/2014 21:28

Also can someone add me to stats?

Lumen, 34, ttc since Nov11, unexplained infertility, IVF starting 19th May on long protocol.

beakybeak · 04/05/2014 22:01

Ffs! I actually typed 2014 the first time too. Have corrected again to 2012 and added Feather and Lumen

beakybeak · 04/05/2014 22:07

feather wow a stone is great! Well done!

Lumen I have just been in a restaurant where there were a group of loud singing children and it makes you wonder! Grin

Rain love the new UFO definition!! 3 years seems long before you get your first NHS IVF, ours is two years which I am coming up for but they referred me for iui at 18months. I think it's cause she didn't want to give me clomid. They seem fairly laid back at my FC.

Rosie happy birthday! When was it? Hope you had a lovely weekend celebrating.

tigerdog · 04/05/2014 22:09

Good work on getting your embie on board bushy! I love tiramisu (being of italian origin) so I'm not sure I would have been able to exercise such restraint! Hope you have a relaxing day or two and will be here rooting for a happy outcome. Lady rooting for your embie too, hope the wait isn't going too slowly!

barking that is odd that af is so late - do you think the long haul flights and jet lag have a part to play in the change in cycle?

rain I did chuckle at the drunken falling over. I am very accident prone, so I reckon I would have ended up in a similar state. Holiday was fabulous, just felt good to completely relax and also not worry about anything. It was also well timed for ovulation so there was a lot of sex too! Blush. All you need to do to be bikini ready is feel comfortable in your own skin!! I used to be so worked up about my weight, but I'm much more laid back these days. The beach where we were had as many old ladies with their boobs swinging in the wind as it did bronzed beach babes (and I'm sure we are much closer to the latter!!) We also stumbled across a nudist part of the beach, during a long walk one day, so saw a few old chaps with their peckers out!

I have been catching up and reading all the posts about stress and ttc. I think it can have an impact. I don't so much mean the whole 'trying to relax to let ttc happen' (which I am inclined to agree with barking is bollocks) but the impact of stress caused by non ttc issues on the body over a prolonged period of time. I do think that past stress might have played a part with me, although I'm a lot less stressed now.

Also, I would absolutely agree with going for job opportunities as they arise and generally getting on with enjoying life. Putting life on hold whilst ttc which I have learnt the hard way just leads to disappointment and puts far too much pressure on getting a bfp.

feather that is impressive weight loss! Nice work!

lumen and beaky well done on surviving your various baby related activities!

Right, thats enough rambling from me for one evening! Night all!

FeatherFeather11 · 04/05/2014 22:09

Thanks beaky - I wasn't massive, but I needed to lose some and it takes ages when you have pcos.

And happy birthday rosie!

ladybunnikins · 04/05/2014 22:32

Feather well done on the weight loss and I never knew that about beansprouts!
