Here we are ladies, part 5, with a new spin to the title to include some of us long-timers!
May it bring many, many more BFPs and some happy, healthy babies Smile

Are you feeling any signs of anything yet? I went out for lunch with my family, and a friend is just on her way round now to join me in a bottle or 3 of wine Smile

Sorry forgot to say welcome to InThisTogether! Good luck in your first month of not really trying, hope it works out for you. Do you have any DCs already?

Hi Ginger - Glad you had a good birthday and hope you enjoyed drinking your wine . I'm a week overdue today and a bit disappointed as I have a feeling I won't get to have the home birth I really want. Apparently if you were overdue with your first (I was 12 days) it usually follows a similar pattern. I've had a bit of pink spotting after the sweep and possibly a bit of the plug coming away, I think, but nothing else. I've got that appointment to be induced next weds but I really don't want it to come to that. I can go in and say I'd like to wait longer but I 'd have to go back two days later on the Friday as it starts becoming unsafe to go over 14 days. I just don't see this baby coming anytime soon.
Morerum - I hope you and baby violet are doing well. Still waiting to hear your birth story and how it went when you have time. I realise you'll be really busy at the moment. xx
Everyone else seems to have disappeared.

HungryHorace · 20/06/2014 09:26

Are you booked for another sweep, mrs? Our hospital does two (+5 and +8) when we are overdue.

Sounds like a lovely birthday, Ginger. :-)

I'm so busy trying to get ready for baby, and with DD's birthday on Monday (BBQ on Sunday), plus generally running after DD. I'm exhausted.

Ah well, not so long to go now!

mrsm22 · 20/06/2014 13:10

Hi Hungry - Not booked for another sweep, I'm not even seeing the midwife again now. I saw her on weds and that is it. If I get to next weds I have to ring the hospital in the morning and go in and they'll examine me and baby and I'll either be induced or put it off for two further days. Nightmare! Just wish this baby would come. Fingers crossed my baby might share your DD's birthday, I have a friend with the 23rd birthday too. A BBQ sounds really nice, is it friends and family or just a family thing? The weather is meant to be hot all weekend so you should've fine on that score.

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok. Just a quick update for you. My waters broke at 2.10am and I called the hospital who sent two lovely midwives out to check me and baby. They went away again though as my contractions didn't start and still haven't. Apparently it can take up to 24 hours for contractions to start so I have until 2am Sunday morning for them to start or I have to go to hospital to be induced by hormone drip because I'm at risk of infection with waters already broken. They keep going as well so I keep getting more water and having to change myself. Hoping contractions will start soon so I can have this home birth.

HungryHorace · 21/06/2014 15:13

Oh goodness. Fingers crossed the contractions start soon. Xx

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 21/06/2014 19:03

Good luck Mrs! Hope the contractions kick in soon, if they haven't already, and you get your home birth and get to meet your baby soon!! I'm off out to a party tonight, to celebrate my birthday and the summer solstice, final social event on my calendar before we start calming down a bit again and get back on track with ttc, but will check back in tomorrow at some point when I get home to see how you got on. Fingers crossed for you!

good luck mrs! hope things start moving soon and you get your home birth xx

Hi ladies, really quick update! Baby Henry Max was born at 6.32pm weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces. It happened so quickly, the midwives only arrived at 6.20pm just in time but I was in agony with the pain as the contractions just suddenly came really quick. No pain relief at all, not even gas and air as there was just no time. Before the midwives arrived I got the urges to push and he was out in ten mins. I thought I was never going to manage it as the pain was so intense. But he's absolutely beautiful and I love him to bits.

CallingAllEngels · 22/06/2014 07:42

Congratulations mrs ! Lovely news and great name.

morerum · 22/06/2014 07:46

Grin congratulations mrs! wonderful news hope you and baby are doing well! Brilliant weight well done for not having any pain relief so pleased you got the birth you wanted! xx

mrsm22 · 22/06/2014 08:39

Thank you Calling and Morerum - Henry is doing well, it's been difficult getting him to feed but I think he's slowly getting the hang of it. I'm exhausted and still a bit overwhelmed. I hope you are both well?
Rum - How are you and baby Violet doing? xx

morerum · 22/06/2014 09:07

were getting on fine im totally exhausted but I wouldn't change it for the world! poppy is great with violet so were off to a good start! you should try to get some rest ur gonna need it! X

mrsm22 · 22/06/2014 14:38

That's great Morerum, I'm so pleased for you and that Poppy and Violet are getting on well. x You're right there, it's very tiring. I can't believe my Henry is not even a day old yet. My mum and dad have taken DS1 out this afternoon to give me and DH some time just with baby Henry and to rest. Jack has been really good with his baby bro so far.

HungryHorace · 22/06/2014 16:04

Ah, congratulations. Lovely name and a good weight. :-)

Better than last time by the sound of it...without pain relief, which is what you wanted too (even if maybe not as you'd envisaged!). Xx

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 22/06/2014 20:03

Hurray! Congratulations mrs, hope you are all doing ok, and the feeding is getting easier. What a quick birth! It's a good job you wanted a home birth as it looks as though you would have got one either way!! So pleased for you. Must be lovely being in your home now with all of your creature comforts near by. Will midwives be visiting you every day for a bit?

Thanks Hungry. I'm so pleased I got my home birth, it was much better than the first time. Very painful but much nicer without drugs. I'll send you a pic xx

AlwaysandForever09 · 22/06/2014 20:24

Congrats mrs! Glad you got your home birth, looking forward to seeing a pic :)

morerum · 22/06/2014 21:37

mrs hes gorgeous! Congratulations again xx

mrsm22 · 23/06/2014 10:40

Thanks everyone, I'm loving having my two boys although I've hardly slept since Saturday and feeling so tired and woozy. It's definitely hard work with two and Henry not feeding that well. He's quite a sicky baby and brings back his milk which I never really had with jack. How are you all doing? x

keeponjuggling · 23/06/2014 14:14

woohoo huge congratulations mrsm, love the name Henry. Well done getting through it without pain relief, that's incredible! Hope you are settling into life as a family of 4. And fingers crossed Henry starts feeding a little better soon, its tough going when feeding's tricky so be kind to yourself. Plenty cake and cups of tea required Smile

HungryHorace · 25/06/2014 13:01

How're the two new mummies getting on? Hope all is well.

Nothing to report here really. I'm trying not to do too much as I'm really tired. Not long to go now though, thankfully!

lovesmycake · 26/06/2014 10:59

Hello, Congratulations rum and mrs such lovely news and what gorgeous names.

I've been AWOL for a while been on holiday and just focusing my attentions elsewhere then conceiving!

Still not PG but still trying :) Hello to everyone else.

mrsm22 · 27/06/2014 08:13

Hi ladies, how are you all doing?
Hungry - How long left for you now? I bet you're counting down the days.
Sorry I haven't had chance to come on, still very tired but loving every minute and enjoying scrummy little Henry! He will be one week old tomorrow at 6.32pm, can you believe it? I really can't. I want to do it all over again , last Saturday I mean (not the pain part) but it was just such a lovely experience at home. Henry is feeding better, and not bringing back as much milk which is good. He didn't do a poo on Monday tues or weds so I was getting a bit worried but he went at 4am thurs and then again last night. The midwife is coming tomorrow morning to weigh Henry and do the heel prick test. I would like to send some pics so you can all see him. Shall I send some pics to Hungry to put on your FB page?
Loves - where did you go? I hear people often get pregnant just after a holiday. I did with DS1 actually.
This week since Saturday it's just been visitors coming. We took Henry out for the first time on weds to the park in his pram and with DS1 of course and I felt so proud. We went out again yesterday for a walk for an hour and a half but think I over did it as I was so tired afterwards. Feeding Henry every 3 hours so through the night etc is tiring. All worth it of course though!
Hungry - do you have an email address? If so I could send you some pics to put on the FB page. It would be easier than sending by text.
