Hi everyone,

I stopped pill around 25th Jan (after being on it for about 10 years) & I now have no idea what to expect! I realise you can revert back to regular cycles very quickly, or it can take months. But other than that, I have no idea what to expect really!! I had withdrawal bleed for 4 days after stopping pill then nothing since, so I guess I'm just (impatiently!) waiting for some signs/symptoms of ovulation whilst just DTD freely :) would love to chat to anyone else in the same boat!

oh no chunderella! so even once I get my bfp ... from your experience it doesn't get better Hmm hmm.. great! Wink

my hair was beyond normal greasy. I still have to wash it everyday the sides by my ears start greasing first. but what I had on the crown of my head was just something else like sebum or something .. so gross as if I had poured gel and brushed it through with some glue Sad

from Dr Google I at least found I was not abnormal seems only a woman's problem Hmm Confused

hopefully none of u have to experience it!

I was taking Yasmin too for the last 2 years I was on the pill coz they didn't have Cilest here in my new country.

seems a few people think Yasmin causes more side effects....

NewLeafExpat · 26/06/2014 15:25

*more side effects than many of the other mainstream pills

Pussycat1one · 26/06/2014 16:05

I don't think it's just yasim! I've always had these horrible side effects since I started taking the pill 17 years ago. Any time I tried to switch contraception my skin broke out and hair just got greasy.

Day 47 here no af and last bfn was cd40 not sure it's worth keep testing, grrr so annoyed thought af would return to normal quickly sees that was a little silly. Annoys me as I went to doctors in March and specifically ask the question and he said oh don't worry u r fertile struts away if I had realised it would take a while to come out of my system I would have stopped the pill ages ago grrrrrrrr.

kellzob87 · 27/06/2014 22:33

This is my first post so bare with me please hahah Can anyone help? i came off rigevidon on 22nd may to ttc#2 and had a 4day af, ever since then nothing! The last few days i have felt sick all day to the point i cant even face eating! Could this be my hormones goin back to normal? Did it take anyone else as long as this to go back to a normal cycle? Or has anyone concieved quickly after coming off the pill? any advice would be great!

Katybear123 · 28/06/2014 10:48

Hi kellzo I'm in the same boat, 4 day bleed after coming off pill, day 48 now and still no af. I'm guessing it's normal if not very very annoying!

kayleighferrie1985 · 28/06/2014 14:24

Hi all, i came off Cerazette on 13th June, after being on it for only 5 weeks while waiting for test results following the stillbirth of my son. I've no idea of my cycle, but have been getting a clear cm and wondered if anyone had an idea what it could be?

kellzob87 · 28/06/2014 17:14

I think i may have ovulated as had some signs, but just sick of feeling ill everyday. Have no energy n peein constantly. Think i should do a test in a week or so if i still feel the same xxx

slightlyconfused85 · 28/06/2014 21:32

Hi everyone, I came off Cilest about 3 weeks ago with the intention of ttc number 2. No idea how long this will take but quite excited about the prospect ...

Katybear123 · 29/06/2014 21:53

Hi all quick q. For the last week I have been feeling every day like I have af coming, the cramping feeling and drawing feeling u get in lower stomach and lower back but no af and day 49 of 1st cycle of pill . Anyone had similar and did it mean af was on way?

Pussycat1one · 01/07/2014 10:59

Katybear it might be side effects from coming off the pill. I felt like that on the 1st month I came off it.

slightlyconfused85 · 01/07/2014 16:28

I feel like this too Katy and have also recently come off the pill. Although last time I felt like this I was unexpectedly pregnant so who knows?!

Katybear123 · 01/07/2014 23:07

Thanks pussycat and slightly confused, pleased I'm not alone. I ended up at the gp yesterday who said it was very normal and my ovaries waking up he also said it might take up to 6 months for my periods to come back grrrr I hope not that would be horrible I want to b expecting by then :-(

Natalie1989xo · 05/07/2014 18:07

Hi all, new to this thread and came off the pill (cerazette) the beginning of this week and AF arrived soon after. I'm on CD3 at the moment so wondered if there is anyone else hoping for a late July/August BFP? Would love to share the journey with someone.

Morrison27 · 07/07/2014 13:01

Please excuse me not using proper terms new to all of this.
I came off the Microgynon 4th May 2014 and had my withdrawal bleed on the 9th may till 13th.
Then started AF- 4th June - 7th June will my cycle be 22-23 days?
I have not has a AF since 7th June (so according to my last period I am 8 days late)
I have taken a test, 2.99 for two at Wilkinsons and both have been negative any suggestion ?

Pussycat1one · 09/07/2014 20:16

You've only come off the pill so it might take some time for your body to get its rhythm back. Everyone is different.

KahlanC · 13/07/2014 17:29

Stopped pill Friday, ttc as of yesterday! Thought I'd come in and say hi!

April1984 · 15/07/2014 06:27

Hi I've not been posting for a while. I finished the pill mid March. I was lucky and my periods seem to go back to normal very quickly. Other than one slightly longer cycle last month which ended in the most horrible af pain I've ever had. Anyway I got my bfp yesterday! Smile Still can't quite believe it. I've done 4 tests now though! I'm just praying it sticks as it's ver early. Good luck to all xx

Pussycat1one · 16/07/2014 21:53

Congratulations April1984!!

KeeperOfTheZoo · 16/07/2014 22:42

Congrats April! I got my BFP yesterday too! The most amazing, yet frightening feeling ever isn't it?!

Let's hope our beans are both feeling sticky and that there are more sticky beans for others soon Thanks

Pussycat1one · 16/07/2014 23:16

Wow congratulations to you too keeper!!
