Hi everyone,

I stopped pill around 25th Jan (after being on it for about 10 years) & I now have no idea what to expect! I realise you can revert back to regular cycles very quickly, or it can take months. But other than that, I have no idea what to expect really!! I had withdrawal bleed for 4 days after stopping pill then nothing since, so I guess I'm just (impatiently!) waiting for some signs/symptoms of ovulation whilst just DTD freely :) would love to chat to anyone else in the same boat!

Thanks everyone! I now know what some people mean when they say they just know that they've conceived cos I knew after about 4 dpo... I was insanely bloated and uncomfortable then for about 3 or 4 days! Then the other thing that I realised was that I didn't get usual sore boobs a day or 2 after I ovulate which normally happens, so I also thought this was very odd. But what did start to happen about 7 dpo is the tingling nipples and throbbing like feeling behind my nipples in bed one night! I did a test at 10 dpo but got a bfn: did it again at 14 dpo and got my bfp :) couldn't be happier, can't wait till it happens for all you lot too!!

Has anyone recently stopped cerazette, and how long after did they have their first ovulation? Just trying to get a rough idea of when to expect it?

MelMc73 · 22/04/2014 12:16

kitkatkaty I see you found the thread (I just replied to your other post!).....I stopped cerazette in December 2013.

mrshjb · 22/04/2014 12:34

Hey everyone. dietcoke congratulations again! Looks like symptom spotting definitely paid off for you :)

kitkatkaty I wasn't on cerazette, I was on Yasmin and it took 7 weeks for my first period after coming off the pill. Some people get really lucky and their periods go back to normal straight away, but the vast majority of people I've spoken to seem to have to wait longer at least for their first period. I have been off since October and haven't had 2 of the same length cycles yet, despite having regular periods when I was younger. Hopefully you'll have a better experience though!

I'm cd7 today so really early days again. Hoping for another reasonable length cycle and obviously a bfp!!

Anyone near testing yet?!

Snowflake27 · 22/04/2014 20:30

diet huge congratulations!! Keep all of us in the TTC section informed- guess you'll be heading over to the pregnancy pages now?! So pleased for you!

Yeah when I spoke to the doctor about it, she said that Yasmin is one of the strongest pills out there so it wasn't surprising it was taking longer to get back to normal. Obviously everyone is different though so who knows!!!

CleverCircusFlea · 23/04/2014 17:49

"Tits like rocks" Grin
My cycles are getting shorter (35, 33 and 30 days), which is fine, but I am very frustrated with the fact that I just do not have time for sex! And when I do, bloody AF turns up! Angry. So I've been avoiding this thread cause I don't actually feel like we are ttc right now.
Congratulations, dietcoke, you've obviously done your homework, is just me who's the bottom of the class Grin

MelMc73 · 24/04/2014 08:31

Hi everyone. Hope you're all well!

Not posted here for a week or so. Just an update.....had positive opk (well cb smiley face) on Tuesday night after 3 flashing smileys on Sun, Mon and Tues morning....think I ov'd yesterday as had quite a few twinges on both sides. Been DTD everyday since Friday and again this morning...just to be sure! This morning was an effort though....poor Dragon was tired...he is almost 44 though Grin!

mrshjb · 24/04/2014 16:53

Good luck, sounds like you've properly covered yourself there and Dragon can have a well earned rest now!!

Hi, just looking for a bit of advice.
Have been on microgynin for about 8 years & my husband & I have recently decided to stop trying not to get pregnant. Came off the pill on February 10th, had my withdrawal bleed on the 14th then my 1st period on the 20th March. Nothing since then making me on CD37. I haven't been keeping track of when I ovulate but have been DTD every 2-3 days (we are newlyweds lol) so chances are we DTD when I was ovulating. Did a test on 11th April, wasn't expecting to be pregnant but was going out for a night so wanted to make sure I was ok to drink. Got a BFN so went on my night out. Now realise if I was pregnant that might have been to early to tell.
Should I do another test yet? Didn't realise how much this meant to me until now & I'm scared to see a BFN. Like living in my bubble of not knowing lol! Keep thinking because I've just come off the pill my body is playing tricks on me. Feel like I'm getting my period but when I check it's not there! No other symptoms really except really sensitive nipples.

What do you guys think??

mrshjb · 26/04/2014 13:34

If you did a test on 11th April and that was cd12 then yes that would have been much too early to test. It's highly likely you wouldn't have even ovulated by then. So my advice is POAS!!! It could well be that your cycles aren't regular yet so bare that in mind but unless AF shows up the only way to know is to poas! Good luck and let us know!

Girly1234 · 26/04/2014 20:48

Hi everyone, I've got a question if anybody could help. I came off my pill in February had a bleed then had my first proper period beginning the 31st march. We decided trying for a baby this month so we have been DTD every couple of days. I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated as have only had one proper period since coming off the pill, yesterday I started getting slight cramping and brown discharge/blood do you think this is the impantation bleeding or just getting back into my cycle. It's driving me crazy wondering what it is, took a pregancy test and it was negative. Not sure what to think x

mrshjb · 26/04/2014 22:16

If it was implantation you probably wouldn't get a BFP for a good few days yet so really only time will tell. I had the browny stuff this cycle and AF arrived 4 days later, but you do read stories of women where it turned in to their BFP so fingers crossed for you!

ithinkineedahug · 26/04/2014 22:36

Hate having come off the implant! My body is so confused as is my head!! We dtd as I ovulated, followed by pregnancy symptoms but now my period's here...at least I think it's my period and I think they were pregnancy symptoms but could just be my body getting back to normal? Who knows! Just frustrating!!!

Pussycat1one · 27/04/2014 08:36

On Monday I got cramps that felt like af. Then since Wednesday I've had it everyday on and off. Sometimes stronger than others.

On another ttc group a girl gave me a screen shot of some info off a website. Cramping is a sign of conception.

When I spoke to a friend of mine that has 2 children, she said that's how she knew she was pregnant with her 2nd.

I'm in such an emotional rollercoaster right now! Part of me wants to believe it's a sign but I'm so scared it's wrong at the same time! The pains are so like af that I keep checking everytime I go to the bathroom!

If nothing happends soon I'll test on Tues morning when it's supposed to be due.

mrshjb · 27/04/2014 09:47

It's really hard because a lot of pregnancy symptoms and AF symptoms are the same aren't they especially the cramping, so it's really hard to tell. Plenty of women I've spoken to have said that they thought AF was on her way and then they got their BFP. So fingers crossed for you!!!

MrsCorr · 27/04/2014 16:44

Did a pregnancy test this morning (first response) & got a BFP!! Was a very faint line so have just done another one (super drugs own) & again got a faint line. Have bought a digital HPT but I'm going to wait until tomorrow to use my FMU. Feeling very excited!! But don't want to get my hopes up just yet!!

Baby dust to everyone!

Beansprout30 · 27/04/2014 21:06

Yay congratulations mrsCorr!! How exciting that's two bfps for this thread at last! I'm about to start my 2ww, think I ovulated Friday and we managed to dtd friday, sat and tonight now dh has gone back to work so hoping we've done enough!!

Fingers crossed for everyone x

thamrin · 29/04/2014 04:30

Congrats Mrs Corr! Yay!! More baby dust good news for us all.... Smile
unfortunately I got my AF on CD32 bang on same cycle as last month so expecting my BFP turned out rather disappointing but I am happy my cycle is regular.
oh well on to May and for this month I am determined to TTC rather than just be pill-free and hoping for the best. CD4 today and hubby is away for four days... once he's back he better be feeling energetic... Grin

PerpetualStudent · 29/04/2014 15:02

Congrats MrsCorr!!

And commiserations Thamrin! BFPs for May!

Im having fun temping & working out what's going on with my new, pill-free cycle: CD11 today & blimey! Egg-white mucus, achy cramps all over the base of my back & belly & (TMI?) a super-sensitive cervix! Feels like my body is making up for lost time by having ALL the symptoms of EVERYTHING?! I've decided this is a sign of ovulation & am instigating project DTD: Full Throttle with DP.
It's first cycle, so trying not to get my hopes up though...

Pussycat1one · 29/04/2014 15:10

Congratulations MrsCorr!
