Anybody TTC after very recently stopping pill & no idea what to expect, please join in!!!

Hi everyone,

I stopped pill around 25th Jan (after being on it for about 10 years) & I now have no idea what to expect! I realise you can revert back to regular cycles very quickly, or it can take months. But other than that, I have no idea what to expect really!! I had withdrawal bleed for 4 days after stopping pill then nothing since, so I guess I'm just (impatiently!) waiting for some signs/symptoms of ovulation whilst just DTD freely :) would love to chat to anyone else in the same boat!

Nsgirl, there's some confusion as to when day 1 of the cycle was. I had a full period, then 2 clear days, flew to Europe and then another full period.

So I may have had a bfn on day 30, then a bfp on day 45 or a bfn on day 35 & a bfp on day 50.

I'm pretty sure I know when I ovulated, though. If I take it from there I had a bfn on 12 dpo and a bfp on 27 dpo.

Ha chunderella we have been furiously shagging too. Think we both will be glad of a night off! Got v bad left hand side pain today tho but ovulation should have been a few days ago so gods knows what that is all about!

Thanks Henrietta that does help! I'm day 48 now (I think) and pretty much given up on getting a bfp just want AF to come and stop my misery now!!

Firstly I'm new to this so reading the treads I don't quite understand all the short hand talk ie AF and TTC so if someone could firstly help me with that I would greatly appreciate it.
Any who. The husband and I have decided to try for baby no:2. The first day of my last period was 23rd may and I started my pill two days late for only two days before having the convo about no:2. So I've came off the pill and calculated my ovulation period is now until Sunday 8th June but I started to bleed yesterday and today and I've been getting a lot of cramps. Is this normal?? Should I count this bleed as the first day of a period as my next ovaluation date will change then if I do.
Ps I'm trying the shettles method for a girl as we have a boy so wana be calculating it all correctly.

That sound so god chunderella. Congrats to whoever else got a bfp. I keep losing the thread. My period is due tomorrow and by my stomach pains and fact that I did an early preg teat this morning means I am out . Onto July! Xx

Hi ladies glad to have found this thread. This is 1st month ttc, came off pill last month currently on day 35 of cycle. Was on lostrein for 17yrs so I guess it could take time but I was really hopefully. I would just return to clock work. No such luck. Poas on fri day 33 of cycle bfn, then fri lunchtime for 4 hrs had what seemed like a v light period, it then stopped and nothing since as all, cm now dry. Has this happened to others? Could it be an implantation bleed? Feel like going mental as just want to know I'm normal but there seem no rules to this :-(

DTD on CD 16&17. possibly ovulated on CD19. slim chances for me this month but I still have a chance right?

damn DH works away and only gets back tomorrow CD21.....

do I still have a slim chance of getting BFP or do u think no chance at all?

I think you still have a chance ovulation seems to be approx so I say go for it x

Hi all day 40 here of cycle one, just need some reassurance is this normal? Have poas today defo not preg. Had cm when came off pill initially and thought had ewcm but for last wk and a bit now no cm. anyone else had this - should I be worried?

Congrats to all those getting bfp's!! It's turning into a pretty positive thread now!! I'm still plodding along with my 35 day cycles- it's awful them being so long though but I'm fairly chuft that after taking the pill for 10 years I've settled into a routine so quickly! I just wanted to share some words of wisdom that I recently found out. It seems that lube- normal silicone lube - is very counter productive to this baby making lark! Here we are going at it like rabbits only to find out that the lube creates a great barrier against those little swimmers! Buggering hell! So we've gone and bought some conceive plus instead!! Just thought I'd let you know in case you didn't!!

Thanks snowflake very helpfully! I just found this out yesterday!! Bit gutted! As you say we do everything possible and the flippen lube is against us!!
I can't find any sperm friendly lube in any shops near me :( so will have to order online...won't be here for this cycle (window is now) so just trying to use very little and hope like hell DH has some strong swimmers!!

hi all TTC after pill ladies...

I'm after some advice. I stopped pill in Jan and have been TTC since then. currently on TWW... AF due on Saturday.

anyway since stopping pill these have been my body changes:
slight weight loss/less bloating
mega spotty first month usually have clear skin
super greasy hair I've had to change shampoo and now strict about only conditioning below chin.
greasy face
no more chronic headaches yippee
all that I can deal with

but now my latest symptoms are:
small rash-like bumps on my forehead and sticky hair! yes... sticky/greasy hair. first I thought I didn't rinse shampoo out properly but I've consciously washed/rinsed a few times but its still there on the crown of my head. so gross. anyway trying not to get down about it and bought various clarifying shampoos etc.
my question is what symptoms have u had to deal with from stopping pill/crazy hormones. do u think this is hormonal/normal?

I was on the pill over ten years. my cycles now are 32ish days and regular I'm quite happy with that. just seem to be suffering with random skin/body ailments

newleaf I was on pill for over 2 years as well and I have had bad spots and rash/bumps on forehead since stopping....always good skin before that
I guess it is just the change in hormones!

Yes I've had greasy hair and a very oily and spotty face too! Been off the pill since February and still no change to my skin or hair. I was hoping for my skin to improve a bit but I just seem to have an awful breakout every time I ovulate!

well for my sticky crown of my hair situation I've got some clarifying shampoo and some body shop sulphate&silicone free shampoo And I did both back to back which seems to have done the job.

greasy face and hair i just... I have no idea crazy this real hormones lark!
