Btw what vitamins have you been taking???

SidneyBristow · 11/02/2014 18:41

Thanks guys. I've felt like I've been in a daze all afternoon; I literally couldn't tell you what I did after DH left at lunchtime, aside from wee on another stick! Merk the feeling up til today has been a general heaviness in my pelvic area, nothing at all like ov pains - is that normal? Since about 4pm today I've felt like there's been one mildly sharp pain going on continuously - am kind of worried bc it seemed to coincide with me bending over to shave my legs (worried the clinic would call me in for a scan and realize they were dealing with someone who had low personal standards Grin) but surely that's silly, right? wouldn't 18dpo be kind of late to the implantation party?

There should be a worrywart emoticon... after all the TTC hurdles to cross, I feel totally unprepared to this bit.

Thanks again Smile actually going off to have a little cry; kind of overwhelmed :)

IamKuma · 11/02/2014 18:42

sid!! I have no words Grin

happy messaged you in the other place as I'm on my phone and a lazy typer.

I'm out tonight doing my evening class but will be right back here after its done!

Thunderpantsarego · 11/02/2014 18:42

OMG!!!! Fantastic news sid!! Been keeping an eye out for news all week and this is the best! Burrow, embie, burrow!! Flowers

ladybunnikins · 11/02/2014 18:43

Congrats Sid! I was advised not to ttc while downregging last time but I think I'll ignore it next time!

SidneyBristow · 11/02/2014 18:43

Happy FC gave us the option in Dec of having DH's sperm tested for DNA fragmentation. We decided to hold off on it, and our consultant sent us a letter summarizing what we'd discussed at our meeting, and said that if his sperm did show fragmentation, that a regime of antioxidants would be recommended. I'll dig out the list and post the specifics. Who knows if any of it did any good, but the money we spent at Holland and Barrett was a hell of a lot less than the fragmentation test would've been.

Boomgoestheweasel · 11/02/2014 18:44

Oh sid that's amazing news! massively chuffed for you! Xxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/02/2014 18:45

Sid implantation is a process (not something that has finished already) that takes weeks so the pains/aches (some sharp and stabby, some achey, some that just make you aware of your general womb area) will come and go throughout that time. Added to the fact that your uterus will already be growing like mad, and that will give you aches and pains too, its perfectly normal

funkymonk · 11/02/2014 18:53

Woo hoooooo! Yay Sid yay! This is wonderful news. Big FUFC! Hurrah hurrah!!!

Rp, I know what you mean but stay positive.

Tallyra · 11/02/2014 18:54

FUFC!!!!!!!!

Parsley2506 · 11/02/2014 18:55

sid that's fantastic, brilliant news! I hope everything goes boringly smoothly for you. Will your FC maybe do a cheeky early scan for you to put your mind at ease a bit?

Foodylicious · 11/02/2014 18:57

Woo hoo sid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fab, fab, fab news
And the others are right about the funny crampy pains, its all normal, just doesn't feel it Grin

funkymonk · 11/02/2014 18:58

And yes parsley, we can be 2ww buddies! Hope jury service is interesting!

Yay again to Sid! 6 week scan?

happylass · 11/02/2014 19:08

Well if the naked Boodleness didn't fill the place up, the BFP certainly did!
Sid that list would be great. DP won't know what's hit him. I've read in Toni Weschler's book that Vitamin C is good to reduce sperm clumping so have already stocked up Smile

SidneyBristow · 11/02/2014 19:10

No, doesn't feel normal at all - just very heavy and full, and a dull, but kind of sharp, not-especially-painful pain for the last few hours. Thanks copter berries for letting me know this is to be expected. Really trying hard not to Dr Google myself into a sleepless night!

Yes Parsley have already told DH that I will be having a 6 and/or 8 week scan - after all we've been through I really need to see something on a screen that is more 'real' than a wee stick!

RP I felt the same way as you did. But in time I think you'll feel that seeing your GP & getting tests underway isn't the end of your fertility options, it's actually the beginning. Things move soooo slowly; it really pays to stay on top of what's allowed on the NHS's timeframe, and go in for whatever tests they'll approve, as soon as they'll approve it. I'm glad your GP gave you the green light. Onwards and upwards - as Merk says, knowledge is power. Thanks

Bunnygirlie · 11/02/2014 19:16

Thank you for all the congrats on bunnyblob baby rabbit baby bunny

Say what now Mrs Sidney?!?!?!? Grin

Happy DH takes 400mcg folic acid, 30mg zing, 100mcg selenium, 1000mg linseed oil (flaxseed oil), 50mg B6, 50mcg B12, 400IU vit E, 1000mg vit C, 5mg manganese, 1000mg L-arganine, and 100mg L-carnitine.

I had been taking the same as above, but without the L-arg and L-carn, and add in 2500IU vit A (which I believe is the same as apx 1000mg).

Most was recommended by our consultant, but some was probably thrown in there based on different things I'd read over time. We probably massively overdid it, bc clearly we were getting a lot of this stuff through our diets, but I didn't want to risk any deficiencies.

All gotten from Holland & Barrett; a few were covered by Pregnacare His & Hers Conception multivitamins. (I had been taking another conception vitamin but apparently P'care is more comprehensive) Should've signed up for their loyalty card, but did at least get some money back for ordering through topcashback.co.uk .

RevoltingPeasant · 11/02/2014 19:24

Eeeeek!! sid !!

Big big hugs to you. That is so great Grin you thoroughly deserve some fantastic news like this!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 11/02/2014 19:24

....so this is a natural conception right, a proper FUFC??

Grin
barkingtreefrog · 11/02/2014 19:25

Bloody hell sid!!!
Do you get the money back for the IVF?! Wink Grin
Are you going to go private to get an early scan?

Now Boodle has flashed a sacrificial boob to assemble the masses can I take advantage and get some advice?
After 5 days of spotting I finally had a temp crash this morning. AF pains so bad that I couldn't concentrate on my lessons today and now on the sofa with a wheat bag. So I'm either CD1 if I discount the spotting or I'm CD6. Blood flow is still light but temp crash and very bad AF pain is confirming I'm now definitely and definitively not pg so do I now start the clomid even though the days are all screwed up ? It's always so bloody difficult to know whether to take it or not and when to start....
DP votes just take it. We're at the FC in March and can always beg for some more if this turns out to be another strange, wasted cycle.

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/02/2014 19:40

Barking will your FC not advise? I seem to remember them being a bit crap before tho so maybe not.
Its a guess but I would say with your short AF surely period pain on CD6 would be unusual? So isn't it more likely to be CD1? Wish I could be more help

barkingtreefrog · 11/02/2014 19:44

FC have been utterly useless on every occasion, I've given up even asking.
I Ov'd early (but don't agree with ff on the day) but started spotting 8dpo, which is standard LP, but a very short cycle at 23 days. That's the only reason I was not counting the first show of blood as necessarily cd1. Don't really have a clue what's going on to be honest, or when to restart my chart from!

Parsley2506 · 11/02/2014 19:47

I missed the boob - is flashing a regular occurrence in Berry HQ? I do a good line in bum wiggles if ever needed.

barking I feel your frustration! why can't our bodies just do what they're meant to and stop taunting us with their weirdness? Sounds like CD1 what with the cramps, so take it? As you say, FC is only a month away....

sid get that scan in. I thought these FUFCs were mythical, this is so amazing!

tigerdog · 11/02/2014 19:51

wooohooo sid! FUFC indeed! Such good news and provides hope to us all. So pleased for you. Sending lots of positive vibes!

happy definitely think you should give the clinic a ring and ask them to explain the ranges and the significance of your results. It is all so confusing. I hate the way that the drs will say that your results without details - I want hard stats, ranges and an explanation!

feather I might still go mental yet. I'm in the positive part of the month, but as af approaches and reality of spending my whole weekend with children and pg people dawns, I'll probably need a big glass of wine come Sunday night.

funkymonk · 11/02/2014 20:53

Yes happy I agree with tiger.

Thanks for the list of vits sid. I'll follow suit I think! Many congrats again!
