6 is plenty! You only need 1 to work! Grin

tigerdog · 14/02/2014 12:48

6 is good gil and as barking points out you only need one to work! parsley am 9dpo and due on Weds. Am very spotty, which is unusual for me but otherwise no symptoms to obsess over and not expecting anything this cycle as we didn't put as much effort in to dtd as we usually would as OH was working away and we missed key dates. Think I'll have to find solace in a spot of clothes shopping!!

Gillster · 14/02/2014 13:28

They freeze them straight away as they survive the freeze thaw process much better at such an early stage. The only other opportunity to freeze would be day 5 and I may have had nothing to freeze by then. They don't freeze we'll in the days between 1 and 5.

Gillster · 14/02/2014 13:28

Well not we'll.

RevoltingPeasant · 14/02/2014 13:54

tiger do you have a chart we can all perv at???

Gill that's amazing! That's 6 potential babies. Grin Good for you. Will they put back 1 or more?

I'm in the boring part of the cycle (the other 2ww, as I think of it) so nothing to see here....

Aquarius1 · 14/02/2014 14:49

Yay Gill that's v exciting! 6 sounds gd to me (not that I really know anything about these things)

because sorry af seems to be on the way & hope that's not the case...

Everyone keeps recommending Breaking Bad to us too but haven't quite got round to it....

parsley we're not into Valentine's day either - but steak sounds good!!

Cd19 here and bit crampy but not hoping for anything ... Roll on FC apptmtHmm

Gillster · 14/02/2014 15:11

No idea about op timing but probably around 8 weeks.

Parsley2506 · 14/02/2014 15:39

gill that all sounds really promising! I hope your op and recovery are quick and easy so you can get this show on the road!

tiger I can't rely on my skin as a predictor, ever since I came off the pill about 2 years ago my skin's been rubbish! I am tired and constipated but that could be down to jury service (yes, even the constipation - they've evidently not heard of fruit, our provided lunch is carb after carb! Smile)

RP ah but the boring part is the part where you can guiltlessly have a few cheeky Wine.

aquarius when's your appt?

BlueBirdy · 14/02/2014 16:35

RP I'm in Devon but we are heading to Tintagel - Family got me a night at a dog friendly hotel there for my last bday, which is great as wouldn't want to leave my 'fur babies' behind! Grin Gill I REALLY hope the weather is better by then - otherwise with these winds we'd be flying our border terrier like a kite when we go for walks!

And Gill that is a great number - not too long to wait either, good news!

Gillster · 14/02/2014 19:58

Taking the opportunity to enjoy a cheeky Corona - hmmm.

Bunnygirlie · 14/02/2014 20:27

Evening all!

Not much of a V day here either, nice M&S meal with a scrummy pud. I was tempted by a glass of fizz but better be good.

parsley very jealous of your steak, have had roast beef and a steak since BFP and having them well done was rubbish! Shouldn't complain though I know!

6 is good gil it only takes one as they say! And how by dare you drink in front of me Wink I am staring at DHs Wine

Hey everyone, enjoy your V day Wine and Flowers

Morning all. Giving up on sleeping - gales were louder than ever last night and the dog starting barking at 6am so feel like I hardly slept.

rp no chart as I haven't been temping (going to start again next cycle). I wish I had though, as last night I had some very light pink spotting and temps might have shed some light. I have never had pink spotting (always brown-red) and only ever the day before af not at 9/10 dpo. So of course I've gone from relaxed 2ww to a symptom spotting frenzy....although fully expecting that this is just my body's latest cruel trick.

birdy lol to the idea of flying your border terrier like a kite - that did make me chuckle!

Parsley2506 · 15/02/2014 09:33

tiger I know that feeling, like our bodies are being run by Jeremy Beadle! (that is really not an image I wanted to conjure but there, I've done it now). Yesterday I was convinced I had boob soreness all day but when I got undressed for bed - nada.

Hope everyone survives the winds, dog kites and all! I could barely get to sleep last night it was so loud. Our garden bench is halfway across the lawn but that's about it damage wise! Smile

funkymonk · 15/02/2014 11:57

Excellent news on the eggs gilster! How soon after polyp removal do they go in and will it just be 1?

Wet and windy and miserably here. The dog needs walking so summoning up the motivation to go out and brave the weather. Hopefully he won't become a kite like the little border terrier as he's a chunky retriever! Think I'd be more likely to take off first!

Jeremy Beadle?! Hahaha!

Bunny, step away from the fizz

Pimped this morning. 10dpo. Bfn of course.

RevoltingPeasant · 15/02/2014 12:00

Ooh tiger! Will say no more, but..... Do you want to poas tomorrow maybe? If the bleeding was anything you might get a result??

winohhh · 15/02/2014 15:09

Hi guys, just had some bad news. Scan this morning showed a mmc, heartbeat stopped shortly after the 6 week scan :(

We've been told to think about what we want to do, d and c, tablets to start the process (although may still need a d and c if not everything comes out) or waiting. I think we've decided not to wait, it could be ages since its been 3 weeks already since everything stopped. I just wondered if any of you had experience of d and c or pills? I'm scared of the pain of taking the pills and letting it all happen naturally, but scared of having a general anesthetic for the d and c. Such an awful decision to have to make.

FeatherFeather11 · 15/02/2014 16:14

So so sorry wino. That's awfully sad. I don't know what to say in terms of advice as haven't been in that situation. I think, personally, I would go for the d&c. Very sorry to hear you news. Be kind to yourself. xx

funkymonk · 15/02/2014 16:34

Oh wino. So so sorry to hear thia. Nothing can prepare you for seeing that on the scan. This is exactly what happened to me just before Christmas. Baby had stopped growing at 6+2 and I shoul have been 8+2.
Dh did a lot of research on PubMed and we decided to go for medical treatment. They did another scan to confirm the pregnancy was over and then I had pessaries as opposed to pill. I would highly recommend this instead of d and c, though it does make the process longer, the risks of medical treatment are lower.
After the treatment we went home. I sat with a hot water bottle and put a towel on the sofa incase the bleeding came on fast. On way back from hospital we got some heavy duty pads and some cocodamol from over the counter. Cramps started after a few hoirs. Just like bad period and I could feel that I started bleeding. I sat on the loo for a while. It came out pretty fast. There were quite a few large clots that you had to almost squeeze out. I didn't inspect them too closely as didn't want to see anything. The bleeding lasted a few hours and then spotting for a few days. It took from 18th Dec until around 6th Jan to get a negative pregnancy test.
I would recommend medical treatment. It isn't pleasant, but no more painful than nasty period. Get yourself painkillers and take them straight after the medication so you are ready. Thick pads, hot water bottle. Cuddles from your partner. Dh came in the bathroom and kept cuddling me when I sat on the loo.
Really feeling for you wino. It is a horrible time.
35 days after the treatment I had my first period and things seem to be back on track now.

funkymonk · 15/02/2014 16:35

Sorry for all spelling errors. I'm on my phone and couldnt check back through properly.

Parsley2506 · 15/02/2014 18:19

wino I am so sorry you're having to go through this. funky gives some excellent advice. My MC was natural (was planning D&C but it started during the week wait for the second confirmation scan). It's definitely a crappy thing to go through whichever way you decide to go but don't be too afraid of the non surgical options.
I did have some fairly intense cramps during my own, which weren't nice at all, but they didn't last that long, but cocodamol alternated with paracetamol helped a lot.
My period returned within a month, and I have heard from lots of other ladies on the MC threads who went for D&C who took quite a while longer to get back to 'normal' (but also those who didn't)

Whatever you choose, please know we're here for you when you need to vent. Be kind to yourselves in the coming days, it really is such an awful thing to have to deal with. Thinking of you.

RevoltingPeasant · 15/02/2014 19:03

Wino I'm so sorry Flowers I have no experience of mc myself but have had plenty of GAs, and they are fine and have the advantage that you wake up safe, on painkillers, with friendly staff around, and it is all over. You don't need to worry about bleeding etc as you'll be in a hospital bed.

ladybunnikins · 15/02/2014 19:30

*Wino, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Plenty of good advice here from people who've been through it (and GAs are very safe, if you decide to go down that route). Wine

Gillster · 15/02/2014 23:29

So sorry to hear your news Winoh, truly devastating. I don't have any practical advice I'm afraid other than to take care of yourselves. X

winohhh · 15/02/2014 23:47

Thanks everyone. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It really does help me think about what to do. DH is being wonderful. We're trying to be philosophical about it, but fear it will get worse before it gets better. Furiously googling conception after miscarriage rates, which I suspect is a way to cope with the shock of it all! Thanks again lovely berries! Xx

Tallyra · 16/02/2014 00:11

Win, everyone says you will be more fertile for a while. It doesn't work for everyone but it's worth thinking about. Xxxxxxxxx
