Blizy were the pics on fbook of the balloon release? It looks gorgeous xx

Orion it's really helped me feel a bit more positive. I don't know how long it will last but for now I feel quite hopeful for the first time x

fanjodisfunction · 02/06/2012 19:50

wtw loving your photos of DD3, she looks a beauty.

August I hope you are ok hun, hows the head? Have they said anything about you coming home?

We didnt go to the dockyard in the end DH was a bit tired from working, so we did a quick trip into town and I bought some lovely wedges on sale in DP's, so excited!

The balloon release was in George square in Glasgow, can't you tell with the grey skyWink.

Just back from the cinema, took my wee sis (10yr old) to see snow white and the huntsman. Was ok I suppose. Dh is off on a boys night out. Wonder what state he will arrive home in. Hmm

fanjodisfunction · 02/06/2012 21:24

Is it bad I left DH on the sofa where he fell asleep?? He didn't wake up when I shook him saying I was going to bed! I can still hear him snore but at least I've got the comfy bed! I'll make sure I wake him in the morning to go to work! Night night!

AngelGeorgie · 02/06/2012 22:52

No Blue it's fine I leave Ant when he's passed out!! His fault!!!
Blizy hope the balloon release went ok? I m off to the national SANDS day at the aboretum in Staffordshire on 16 th June. Nice but sad. Xxx
Whatever your scan sounds lovely. I had a private scan with Georgie but only a 3D one but I thoroughly enjoyed it... Arh ... Cx
August hope you feel better soon? Best place for you... I know it's boring but hopefully you ll be out soon & all will be fine. I spent the last week virtually in hospital leading up to my section date with Phebs with 1 thing & another (? Reduced movement/? Waters breaking etc...) but all worth it on the end. Xxx
Hope everyone's ok? Had a lovely day & evening out at the farm & for tea.. Phebs a star as per!!!! Shattered now though only being in 10 mins bath & bed I think!!!
Love to all xxxx

blizy · 02/06/2012 23:37

Really angel? I think dh an I are going to the SANDS service too (we will be in London/Dorset that week and will go on the way home)! We went last year and it was really lovely. We could maybe meet?

Bluetinkerbell · 03/06/2012 08:15

Lovely DH spent the whole night on the sofa :) he woke up during the night and came to the toilet but then went back down again... very sweet of him!
I actually had a reasonable sleep!

We might go to the National Memorial Arboretum that weekend now you say so! It's the weekend before Sterre's birthday and we haven't been to the memorial garden yet! It's only 40 minutes drive from us... Would be nice if we could meet up there ladies! :)

fanjodisfunction · 03/06/2012 12:16

blue thats how it should be, your giving u your body to have another baby and well its only right he should give up the bed so you can have a good nights sleep.

Where is this national arboretum? wonder how long it would take me to get there?

Ive just cleaned the house ready for parents coming round, got to make my burgars now. And then settle down to watch the pageant, hoe the weather clears.

I was there last year also!!! Got some new bright stones for my Georgie this year. Would be lovely to meet ... Am going with Ant, mum, dad & Phebs... Any doesn t like the service he finds it too upsetting but I found it nice & sad & am compelled to go for our Georgie xxx
Love to all xxxx

blizy · 03/06/2012 12:53

Ohh it would be fab to meet you both! We will be doing a nice bright stone too, last year Dh drew a simple picture with a sharpie, it was quite boring.

Fan- its in Staffordshire, google the national arboretum.

Whatevertheweather · 03/06/2012 13:02

I'd love to go to the arboretum but it's ages from here (about 4 hours Fan)

How are you today August?

Glad you got a good nights sleep Blue I miss having a spare double bed! Just before Erin was born Katie moved from the little room to the bigger spare room and we got rid of the double and put bunks in there for her. This is my first pregnancy where I haven't been able to go and sleep on my own!!

Ellypoo · 03/06/2012 13:05

Hi - what a miserable day :(

Just been down to cemetry - we are starting to think about a headstone for Constance, and I wanted to see what the others down there look like to get an idea.

I was thinking about going to the SANDS memorial day too, but not sure - DH wouldn't be able to come, but I am down at a spa with my mum the night before which I think is close by so maybe I will see if I can come along. Don't know if it's a good idea without DH though. What are the stones about?

blue - glad you got a good nights sleep x
fan, enjoy your burgers & the pageant!!

fanjodisfunction · 03/06/2012 13:28

Really four hours, might be a bit much.

I didn't have a problem sleeping in the bed with DH when pg with Fi, though I used to get up and sit down stairs when I became uncomfortable or heart burn got too bad. Found out after though that DH was sleeping right on the edge of the bed to give me room, but I don't believe him, well maybe a little but he could not have done it all night. I'm one of these people who can sleep anywhere even when pg.

wtw did you manage to take K to a jubilee celebration?

OP posts:
blizy · 03/06/2012 13:37

Elypoo- you can decorate a stone in memory of your baby and place it in the SANDS memorial garden.

I have a double bed in the spare room, I love it! It's my sanctuary when Dh is snoring! I slept in there almost every night when i was heavily pregnant, I found impossible to get comfortable because of the spd.

Fan- hope you enjoy your day.

We are having a quiet one on the couch.

Hope you all have a good day.

Whatevertheweather · 03/06/2012 16:32

We went crabbing and bike riding at canoe lake in the end Fan! Might go to Isle of Wight for the day tomorrow if the weather holds. Hope your bbq was good.

Couch day sounds like bliss Blizy

fanjodisfunction · 03/06/2012 20:29

i hate all this sometimes, we are in the zone and well I know im going to ov and would like to swi every day but DH doesnt want to and I know hes thinking its best to save the sperm for at least a day or two, but I just get a bit anxious about it all. So fucking annoying!!!! I think I am going to ovulate tomorrow, so may see what happens then, but I will not just go by the opk, I will be checking cm, and I know it is building.

I so wish this is my month!

wtw glad you had fun crabbing.

august how are you doing?

I'm home finally. Was feeling better but now getting some cramping again and a bit anxious. Just don't feel right. I was given steroid injections on case the baby comes early - anyone got any experience of this? Cheese? Feel like it's knocked me for six. Every time I try to do something I get tightenings and feel like I can hardly breathe. Going to get some sleep now - hope DH doesn't snore, he's nearly 2 bottles of wine in so guess that's wishful thinking!

blizy · 04/06/2012 01:28

August- I don't have any experience if what you are going through but I do know that you be taking it easy. If you are too worried can you go back to the hospital for some reassurance? Hope you are ok and that you manage a good sleep.

Fan- fingers crossed for you this month. X

I have high hopes for myself this month, first time in ages I will be with Dh for the ov build up!Grin

fanjodisfunction · 04/06/2012 08:17

august glad u are home. What are the tightenings like? I had braxton hicks a lot after 30 weeks, could it just be that? Boooo to your DH for drinking. Men! Sometimes thay are just prats!

I have everything crossed for you blizy, maybe we will both be lucky this month.

Ellypoo · 04/06/2012 09:51

Fx for both fan and blizy this month, and for me too - have just bought us both some vitamins so hopefully they will start to build up in our systems for next month though even if this one doesn't happen!

Glad your back home august but please speak to your MW/health centre if you feel things arent right, if only to set your mind at rest. It must be so worrying and try to take things easy.

It's not raining here (yet!) so I think we may brave the jubilee picnic in our local park this afternoon - they have a brass band and I love love love brass bands, they always give me goosebumps!!

fanjodisfunction · 04/06/2012 10:09

elly fx for you too. What vits did you buy?

OP posts:
greengoose · 04/06/2012 12:52

August... Sorry you are having such a rough time. I had Merryn at 32 weeks ( the reason she died was tumour not prematurity) and had the steroid jabs to mature her lungs. (awch!) My SIL is a sister in a NICU unit, and she said in general they don't worry too much about babies born after 30 weeks, and if they have had steroid jabs they can usually breath unaided and do very well.... My little girl would have breathed on her own if allowed and was 6.5 pds... So looking like a term baby only a little small. What I'm trying to say is 30 weeks is a good place to be and not to panic too much.... Sounds like your little one is staying put for now though?!

greengoose · 04/06/2012 13:07

Elly, Fan, Blizy.....well, I've ovulated I think, and we had plenty of SWI, so I am also in the running this month....! Didn't think we would so soon, but it was a bit difficult to resist when consultant said we could start trying now..... What dates do you test on? I think I am due af about the 15th so will test then.

I have been put on 5mg Folic acid, and will be given baby asprin from when I get bfp... Mainly because of the preeclampsia I think. I am also taking pregnicare with omega3, and dp is on Wellman vits. Fingers tightly x'd for all of us!

The consultant said I would be under her care and could have scans at 11, 16, 18 and 20 weeks, but no early scan (although had two mc's before Merryn.) I will probably pay for extra one anyway as I will be scared stiff. Seemingly i am not classed as high risk!!!!? (makes me wonder who is then)!

I feel vey strange to be thinking about this so soon, but I know I wouldn't feel different if we waited, and I'm not getting younger. Good luck to us all...! Good to have the company!
