Ellypoo · 31/05/2012 18:50

Hi angel - I actually live in Derbyshire, but LGI was the nearest neonatal unit with a bed (the last space at Sheffield was taken just before they transferred Constance). Yorkshire is lovely though :)

AngelGeorgie · 01/06/2012 17:40

Oh I see... Some parts are nice some not so as anywhere!!! My hubby is Derby born & bred and wants to return there as is a season ticket holder at the " rams" !!!
I m actually west Mids born & bred and hope to return there at some point!!!

Yeh 4 days off work xxxxGrinGrin

Whatevertheweather · 01/06/2012 18:17

Thank goodness for 4 day weekend Grin

Been really suffering today with bad lower backache. A dull pain right in both kidneys. My rational brain knows it's just a backache but my bereaved mummy brain is panicking it means something is wrong. Very glad we have the 4d scan tomorrow! Am going to try a bath later.

How are you doing August? you must be in to the 30 weeks now? x

Hope everything is well. Any nice bank holiday plans?

fanjodisfunction · 01/06/2012 19:42

wtw if your not sure get it checked out. Keep your fluids up. Maybe the baby is sitting on your kidneys. I had alot of lower back pain with Fi, ended up it going into spasm and I ended up in hospital because they thought it might be a kidney stone. Just keep those fluids up and dont strain yourself.

my parents are coming round sunday to watch the pagent on our telly (we just got a new one) my mum is a big royalist and knows so much about them, its like having a commentator in the room with you. Once we watched one of the royal weddings think it was Edwards and Sophies and she says something like 'oh look thats so and so, she s the Queens cousin's the commentator on the telly said the person was someone else. I look up and say 'haha mum got it wrong' then the commentator pipes up, 'oh sorry got that wrong its so and so the Queens cousin' Mum was well chuffed!

Might go to the dockyard tomorrow, see how DH feels after work. They have live music all day and lots of stalls and movies playing in the boathouse. Might be fun.

Hi ladies. Well, I'm in hospital - came in yesterday afternoon with mild contractions (prob BH but going on and on). They think it's due to a uti although nothing in urine, well except blood and ketones. Baby boy is fine - wriggling like mad all night. I've been given antibiotics and am a bit exhausted but restless, and worried of course.
Will catch up soon, hope you all have a pleasant long weekend. Smile

AugustMoon · 02/06/2012 05:49

Wtw, yes 30 wks (too soon baby, stay put!)
How's your back?

fanjodisfunction · 02/06/2012 08:01

august try not to worry, my mum speent the last three months in hospital with my brother, because of a similar thing. Thinking of you, and here for hand holding and chatting all day.

OP posts:
Whatevertheweather · 02/06/2012 08:14

Oh bless you August glad you went in to get checked out. I'm around to today if you want to chat.

Backache still there but better than yesterday. I think sleeping from 9pm to nearly 8am has helped! Had a very strange dream that I went in for my c-section but just before I was due to go in I just unzipped my coat and gently pulled her out and she was perfect!!Confused

AugustMoon · 02/06/2012 08:41

Thanks fan, wtw - Good luck with your 4d scan (it is today isn't it??) - hope it's all you hoped for. I think your dream is your subconscious telling you that everythings going to be fine and your baby's nearly here Smile

fanjodisfunction · 02/06/2012 08:49

wtw good luck today and I agree with august about your dream.

august how are you this morning? How are the people on your ward? Any weirdos or are they all nice? When I was in hospital with back ache when regnant with Fi, nobody talked to me on the ward, they were all pretty stuck up. But luckerly I was only in there for two nights.
Keep us updated, shame we cant come with a care package for you.

Whatevertheweather · 02/06/2012 09:09

Grin August I love that interpretation of my dream! How are you feeling now? Have the contractions stopped?

Whatevertheweather · 02/06/2012 09:09

Oh and yes 4d scan today at 11 Smile

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 02/06/2012 10:07

August hope all is ok and you are released soon, hospital on a bank holiday is not good...

whatever have a wonderful 4D scan this morning, and please take care of that back.

fan your mother's knowledge of the royal family is impressive!! Music at the docks sounds fun, hope the weather holds near you. Here, it is cloudy with light rain, but tomorrow is supposed to be worse.

greengoose · 02/06/2012 10:14

Just a quickly as we are on the way out...

How are you today AUGUST?? I hope you managed to sleep ok? What sort of ward have they got you on?

WTW... Not long till your scan! Hope you get some good views!

I'm freaking out a bit with all the jubilee stuff... Merryn was due on the 6th and we joked all the way through that it was lovely of the country to throw such a big party for her.... That's backfired on us a bit now.

We have decided to start ttc after my next period (should be ov about end of month if Af manages to be regular enough), so, deep breaths and bravery, here we go again!

greengoose · 02/06/2012 10:18

Sod it, in my head all the bunting is still for my little girl.... She deserved it. Love you Merryn xx.

Bluetinkerbell · 02/06/2012 10:48

of course she deserved it green will be thinking of your lovely Merryn this weekend too! x

wtw getting excited for you! almost time for your scan! :)

august hope you are keeping well in hospital! thinking of you! hang in there... not long to go now... but best for little one to stay in slightly longer Wink

I need to think of different sleeping arrangments... ended up on the sofa for the last few nights, as DH snoring is really awful and I just can't sleep. Been feeling so tired... Will put the bedding on the spare bed later and possibly sleep there. The sofa makes my back hurt.

AngelGeorgie · 02/06/2012 10:51

Green xxx
August hope you re feeling better? Cx
Enjoy your scan Whatever cx
Hi all hope you re all enjoying the start if the long weekend. Nice to be off though I ce no interest in the jubilee whatsoever... All feels very distant.
Off out with friends to a farm with our 2 girls this pm so that ll be nice.
Enjoy whatever you re doing xxxxWink

fanjodisfunction · 02/06/2012 11:42

august I hope everything is well and your being looked after.

blue I think considering your pg, that DH should sleep on the sofa and you get the bed. lol

green Its going to be hard, I remember last year we watched the royal wedding two days after Ophelia was born. All I kept thinking was I will never see my daughter get married. But I made myself watch it all. On my way to the hospital when I was in labour I remember thinking oh I hope this is quick so I can be home in time for the wedding, so that the baby can be part of it. And of course she never was. Now when I look back the wedding is totally separate from Fi, and I hope that will be the case for you. But just be gentle with yourself these next few days, and think of it as the bunting is still for Merryn

angel enjoy the farm, Im a bit envious love the animals me!

wtw hope the scan went well.

OP posts:
Ellypoo · 02/06/2012 12:25

August - I hope they are looking after you well.

Wtw - how did the scan go?

I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend, I am having a pj day today trying to restore my fake smile mask for the rest of the weekend.

Every time I see bunting I will think of Merryn and all our angels - I so wish they were all here with us xxx

AugustMoon · 02/06/2012 13:01

Ive got a massive headache and just been told I can't go home today :( contractions seem to have stopped but I don't feel well. More antibiotics at 2.
green I will also think of Merryn when I look at the bunting (if I get out of here before it's all over!)

Whatevertheweather · 02/06/2012 13:36

Oh August sorry you are still not feeling good and that you are being kept in Sad Are they just being cautious do you think? Are they still thinking uti? Big hugs xxx

Green I too will think of your little Merryn when I see bunting Smile A celebration of her little life xxx

Fan have fun at the docks sounds good down there. We might go tomorrow.

4d scan was absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend it to anyone. At first she was really squashed up against the placenta with her head down and the images weren't very clear, but I had a cup of tea and some biscuits and when I went back in she had turned breech and they were beautifully clear. The lady was really lovely when we told her about Erin and she has given us reams of black and White stills, a disk of coloured stills and a 20+ min dvd. Baby girl looks very happy and exactly as she should. 10 weeks to go Smile

Ellypoo · 02/06/2012 14:21

Oh wtw, that's absolutely fantastic, so pleased that you saw her and got some excellent pictures!

august that's rubbish :( at least the weather is rubbish though so you aren't missing sunshine (at least it is here, don't know where you are!!).

blizy · 02/06/2012 15:14

Oh August,I'm so sorry it must be so horrid for you. At least you are in the right place for help. Lots of hand holding on offer from me. X

Whatever- the scan sounds fab! I seen some pics on fb, they are amazing!Grin

Was at the SANDS balloon release earlier, very emotional an lovely at the same time.

orion3 · 02/06/2012 15:48

august I hope you get out soon. At least you're being looked after. X

The 4D scan sounds fantastic whatever. I did think about one of those once I've had all the heart checks done. it's good that the lady was lovely, it really helps doesn't it. Not long to go for you, how exciting.x
