bugsylugs · 07/06/2012 22:57

Will try and catch up over the next few days. Next scan on Tues they wanted to do today but could not get there. Am learning about the art of patience

Waves to all so pleased so many are returning but wish we did not have to.

wellerbabe · 07/06/2012 23:29

Hi all official test day is actually Sunday but sure I will cave before then. ET was Wed 30th so I am sure sat would be ok???
Thanks for thinking of me but I will have to keep you in suspense for a bit longer GrinGrinGrin

BadgerFace · 08/06/2012 08:35

Weller good luck for this testing this weekend. I was told to test 16 days after egg collection so I think you are fine for Saturday as that's 17 isn't it? Although maybe my maths is off (despite being an accountant, ha ha).

Sunny Hope you're doing well in the wait before scan. It's an interesting period of time!

Sarlat how are you doing? Thinking of you.

Pocket Keep up the pin cushion good work! I hope that your scan goes well on Tuesday.

MoJangled Good luck in Greece!

Italian Keep us posted on your adoption progress. Smile

It's also really good to hear from you successful old timers. Such positive stories.

Right, best do some work, waves to everyone else and happy, if wet, Friday!!

Teds77 · 08/06/2012 13:15

pocket bugsy there is nothing 'little' about my bump! Consultant is talking about delivering at 37 weeks so around 10 July but might be allowed to go another week.... or I could just pop beforehand.. Hmm

weller Guys told me 16 days after EC but Lister said 14 days after EC - ended up doing 15 days after EC with the Lister round as was too scared to test on the 'official' day. Have my fingers crossed for you xx.

Vics32 · 08/06/2012 19:24

Hello all.

I am about to begin my first round of IVF, after a small cystectomy. I am terrified, it has been a long time coming and I don't think I ever thought we'd actually get here!

I hope you don't mind me joining in with your thread, thankyou Pocket1 for inviting me.

Vics x

Pocket1 · 08/06/2012 20:02

Ooooh Lucy that is SO exciting. I bet you can't wait to meet your little girl and boy. Make sure you're being pampered!

Welcome Vics. You're in good company. And just ask if you have any questions at all as we are all in a similar boat.

I'm having FET in a week or two using donor eggs. I am pumping myself with progynona, evorel, aspirin, clexane and prednisolone. I couldn't use my own eggs do didn't have to stim/do ec but others here have.

X

BadgerFace · 08/06/2012 20:19

Hello Vics, welcome welcome. There is a wealth of knowledge with the ladies on this thread and it is a wonderful place to vent. It kept me sane during my cycle especially when I wanted to rant. Is there anything in particular you are worried about? We might be able to put your mind at rest, even if only a little. Smile I was scared of the injections before I started. They soon become routine!!

Pocket1 · 08/06/2012 22:36

Sorry Teds the first half if my post earlier should have been for you... Senior moment!

Italiangreyhound · 09/06/2012 00:17

Sorry Tedsmeant to say hi before. Look after that bump.

Welcome Vics. Hope it all goes well.

sunnyg · 09/06/2012 08:18

Mo I've just seen your post and sorry I didn't catch you before you headed off to Greece. But am so happy to see you back. I wondered if there was unfinished business. 7 is such a lucky number! Will be waiting to hear how it went.

Weller did you decide to test today? I remember the anxiety. We'll all be waiting to hear with baited breath! And thinking of you. Good luck!

Pocket not long now. Do you have a date for FET?

Beginnings a big congratulations on the arrival of baby Katherine! I'm sorry I can remember, is Katherine your first? How's it all going?

Bugsy how many weeks will you be for next week's scan? Are you feeling well?

Sarlet hope you are doing okay my dear.

maple and scrummy how are things with you two? Keeping well?

Italian big wave to you my dear!

and welcome Vics.

AFM not much news here from boob-poking central. counting down the days till first scan on Thursday. Can't come quickly enough really. Just in the last few days have started to feel a little different, maybe, if that's not my mind playing tricks on me. Sleeping 8 hours but feeling like a nap again by about 11am! Keeping busy is the name of the game!

Big hugs to all and happy weekend oxox

Scrummybump · 09/06/2012 10:17

beginnings Grin Grin Grin Congratulations on your new arrival! Well done. And thank you for popping in to tell us your news.

teds wow - not long to go now then. Are you feeling uncomfortable? Nice to hear from you too

lucy not long to go for you either. Let's hope the remaining weeks are as uneventful as they have been so far. Are you still having immunes?

lucy & lissy did you see the article on Evening Standard this week re Mr T. It seems he's planning to franchise.

mojangled I was wondering whether you were still planning on doing one final last round. You must be in Greece by now. Good luck!

pocket good luck with your FET and thank you for asking after me.

sunnyg I didn't have any other symptoms other than tiredness until 7 weeks and even then I only had mild nausea for couple of weeks. I feel perfectly normal now during the day, so much so I sometimes have to remind myself I'm pregnant and therefore shouldn't be running for the train or picking up that heavy load. My boobs became sore week 8, but that's really it. Long may that continue. Good luck with your scan. Will be thinking of you

weller have you tested this morning? such stressful time. keeping my FX for you

italian so nice to hear from you too. Are you finding the adoption process stressful?

bugsy & maple how are you both? Hope things are progress well for you

josie when do you start with your new clinic? I know it's hard to see your friend having her baby, but your time will come. I'm sure of it.

We're 10 weeks and 1 day over here. Beanie measured 3cm yesterday and continues to develop text book, with a strong heartbeat. We had our scan at the Birth Company yesterday rather than at ARGC, as they have better scanners and you get to take pictures home. Loved it. So all good here Smile

Hello to all the newbies. This place really is a haven for us AC ladies, so you're in good place.

bugsylugs · 09/06/2012 10:45

Sorry me me post.

Just quick pop in. Sunny not sure how many weeks LMP 3/4/12 but scan size was 2 weeks less than that!! Boobs seem to be getting smaller again less nausea so am worried 3 m/c in a row does that to you. DH away for weekend not sleeping and feeling sorry for myself need a good kick up the proverbial .

Weller here's wishing for good news

maplecake · 09/06/2012 11:09

Just a real quickie to say Bugsy - I won't give you a kick up the proverbial but here's a hug instead :) I know it's pointless saying not to worry but try your best to keep positive lovely. My nausea went away for a couple of weeks and I was convinced my boobs had been getting smaller too. Anything you can do to distract yourself? When is DH back?
As my DH says, try not to worry until you have absolutely got something to worry about (easier said than done) but let's try!

Will go back through to see what I've missed later - just come back from the sleeper from Inverness - shattered!

Hi to all. xoxo

Pocket1 · 09/06/2012 11:10

Hugs to you Bugsy youre never on your own as were all here. I can imagine you're worried but please try not to be. I know I often say this but allow yourself to think that it will all be okay and that you'll have that bump soon and a little one in your arms before long Smile. Think you've for a scan next week, is that right? How many weeks will that be? x

sunnyg · 09/06/2012 12:55

bugsy my dear. I'm sure everything is fine. When is DH back and when is next scan? You haven't had any huge amount of bleeding or terrible cramps have you? I know I'm quite behind you but honestly I've not yet hardly felt a thing. Some days I think my boobs are a bit sore, some days not. Some days I feel a bit more tired, some days not. Some mornings recently I think I've felt a bit nauseous, some mornings not. But just need to remind ourselves that everyone is different and everyone's pregnancies develop differently. I know it sounds bit lame but how about some trashy mags or a comedy dvd to try and take your mind off things. If not vent here all you want. We are all here for you. 0x0x

MoJangled · 09/06/2012 15:52

Thanks so much girls! I?m in my hotel guarding 4 precious embies after a full going over, intralipids, acupuncture, leaving nothing to chance. My lovely lovely doctor greeted me with a hug, told me if I didn?t get pregnant this time she was going to kill me, was having a huge smug attack about finding a donor with exactly my hair and build, and said that with my dreadful history we needed to up the odds as long as I wouldn?t mind twins (MIND!!!!).

(( Pocket )) really gunning for you for next week. My only tip with the jabs is to get DH to do it ? doesn?t remove the pincushion effect but at least you hand responsibility for that bit over to someone else! Hands here, squeeze as hard as you like xxx (although the left one has a big box of chocolates in it so eat that before squeezing)

Thanks Italian , Honey Bunny and Sunny are better than Grumpy and Sneezy! When you?ve finished decluttering perhaps you?d like to come and start on my house?

Welcome Vics and good luck!

Teds I hope you?re perfecting the ?give me a seat and a drink immediately? waddle ? if you?ve got it, flaunt it! Scrummy it sounds like you?re handling pregnancy masterfully. Sunny poke those boobs and have that snooze, everything?s crossed for Thursday. How brilliant to have so many preggy ladies on here!

Bugsy sweetie there?s no way that you won?t be worrying after going through so much but fat lady and all that? Sunny?s right, you need an emergency feelgood plan, what do you, in your most hedonistic phases, love doing most? Cinema in the middle of the day? Long distance call to best friend at school? Impromptu massage and pedicure? Fantastic curry takeaway and dvd? Do it, do it, do it.

Weller very best of luck for your test?

Vics32 · 09/06/2012 17:46

Goodness, you all seem so lovely. I am really only scared about taking all the hormones. I have OCD and had to come off my meds to start treatment. I'm already struggling though, without the added hormones. Can anybody tell me what it's like? It's nice to meet you all, Vics xx

Pocket1 · 09/06/2012 18:14

Vics dp thinks I'm much happier and much nicer when on the meds Blush

Mojangled thanks for the hand squeeze and the chocs. And huge congrats on the embies on board, it is so your turn now. Just rest and let it all happen SmileSmileSmile

BadgerFace · 09/06/2012 18:27

Vic I didn't find I had too many side effects from the hormones. Possibly a bit more tired and hungry than usual (although those are both natural states for me!) and the occassional blub over not much but only very very occassional. I had acupuncture which I think might have helped stave off any of the other potential side effects but it could just have easily have been luck. Try not to worry, look after yourself and get your DP/DH to look after you too.

Good luck with the 2ww Mojangled!

lucylookout · 09/06/2012 18:39

Scrummy DH read that article but forgot to bring it home for me. Sounds really interesting. Got signed off from immunes at about 24 weeks. Have been having monthly FBC at ARGC since then, but had last one at 32 weeks and took my last clexane jab on Thursday night - yay! Glad things are progressing well for you.

Mojangled sounds like you're having a more harmonious time post FET. Keep pampering yourself and take it easy. Never mind twins, what about quads!?

Teds sounds like you're going to get to the finishing line before me. All the very best to you and your sizeable bump over these last few weeks.

Pocket hope you're doing OK with all your drugs. Not long to wait now.

Sunny not long til the first scan now. Bet you can't wait.

Bugsy I second the others. No kicks for you. Just be super kind to yourself. It's not long until your next scan and we're all here rooting for you and the bean.

Welcome Vics and Hi to everyone else!

MoJangled · 09/06/2012 19:29

Vics I find the down-reg the toughest bit, actually getting some hormones back into me is a relief. So if you're like me you get the worst out of the way early. And I also found acupuncture to be a real help - no idea if it also helps with OCD but might be worth looking into for the journey?

Lucy I did worry about that! But getting way ahead of myself - not counting this cycle I've had 11 embies on board and only 1 (wonderful) baby out so the chances of all of them sticking must be close to nil! Are you happy or nervous to be off immune support?

Just had a meal in a restaurant, and asked the waiter to take a photo 'for my boy' (in reality for a where did I come from scrapbook if we do have a baby from this cycle), whereupon all the waiters took pity on my solitary state and brought me free ice-cream (snarfed immediately) and a free after dinner liqueur (pretended to sip politely). I do love Greece. Wish it wasnt suffering so much.

beginnings · 09/06/2012 21:58

SCRUMMY you have a bump!! Well done! I nearly leapt off the sofa when I read that! Which would have been unfortunate as the little one fell asleep on me 15 mins ago.

Thanks Pocket, sunnyg, bugsy, lucy and everyone else. Yes, she's our first. We feel very blessed to have got this one.

Italian my love. How are you? Any child you adopt will be so very lucky. Thinking of you lots.

Teds77 not long to go now :) can't wait to hear what you have. Thank goodness for our lovely consultant, eh?

Vic this is a fab thread. I have a history of generalised anxiety disorder with touches of OCD. You cope because you focus on the end goal. You'll be fine. Promise.

kezia and lissy hope you and your little ones are well? I'm loving this but gosh it's hard work. I look forward to something approaching a routine!

Italiangreyhound · 10/06/2012 00:32

Scrummy wonderful news.

Wow Mojangled when you say you hav ethe embies with you, are they in some sort of carry case? Or are they in you! [sorry dumb-ass emotion face - they don't put four back in the UK!]

Hugs and best wishes Mojangled
