Meee !! Absolutely devastated af came today so I think your new thread here is just what I need I have been so upset all day so I'm glad you have given me the opportunity here to look onwards and upwards !!

Chuckaluck · 24/11/2011 18:50

I am new to mumsnet! Been ttc for a few months but getting serious now and bought a clearblue ovulation test kit today so hoping December will be our month so definately with you. I hhabe my fleecy Christmas pjs ready :)

Whysoserious · 24/11/2011 22:16

Yay some people to join me! Hi thenewmrsc and chuckaluck. Some Wine?

It's crap when AF arrives isn't it - mine arrived this morning too, about 10 mins after I POAS. As if the stark white line less box wasn't enough to get the message across :(

But onwards and upwards eh ladies. I'm hoping it'll be 4th cycle lucky for me.

I'm a bit worried though because I have been having strange cycles. They last 32-33 days. From using the CBFM, I seem to OV on day 21/22. I then start getting on and off AF style cramps approx day 27 and then when AF arrives on day 32ish it's brown spotting for 3-4 days before proper red flow.

Had an ultrasound last week and the GP phoned me today with the results saying it was all clear and that he thinks that the issues are from a cervical erosion that he spotted during an examination (ie nothing to worry about). But I'm worried I actually have endometriosis type symptoms and I know the ultrasound wouldn't pick that up. Going to have to do some hounding methinks because the GP was quite dismissive of me.

Anyhoo, enough about me. How's about we introduce ourselves. I'll start:

Whysoserious (31) TTC#1 cycle 4 (3rd using CBFM) AF due 27th Dec

Chuckaluck (29) TTC #1, cycle 4 number 1 using ovulation sticks, AF due 21 Dec - just in time for Xmas!!

VeniVidiVino · 25/11/2011 07:08

Permission to board? DH and I will be starting to TTC in Dec but unsure of cycle length as only came off pill 4 weeks ago - hoping for AF this weekend so we can start getting down to business in early Dec :)

Fingers crossed for lots of BFPs under the Christmas tree.

mrsmellow · 25/11/2011 10:26

Hello, I was just wondering why there wasn't an August 2012 thread when I saw this one!
I came off the pill in August this year (after years and years) and don't think my cycles have really settled down yet. I've had one 43 day cycle and one 38 day cycle and have really no idea what's going on Confused . But I refuse to enter into temperature reading and OPK madness just yet - I am likely to become incredibly obsessive! DH and I have discussed and if nothings doing by March we'll get more proactive. As it is, we're just having fun with alt day sex Wink
I live in the southern hemisphere, so forgive me if I swap fleece pj's for naked sleeping under the fan... Smile

Whysoserious · 25/11/2011 18:33

Hello all!

Thanks for doing the stats mrsc.

mrsmellow I am extreeeeeeeeeeeemely glad it's friday! This week has dragged so much for me as was crunch time for AF arriving. Then it was late (only by a day but I still to my hopes up or that 24 hours) grr

secretsparkle I've had about 4 AFs like that now and its really weirding me out. Today and yesterday I've just had a bit of brown spotting. Its really annoying because it still makes me think maybe I'm still in with a chance, when really now I just want to move onto the next cycle. I'm going to POAS one final time tomorrow morning just to be sure as am off to a wedding where I would very much like to do some guilt free drinking!

Hello! Can I jump on board please? TTC #1 and have been for the past 7 years on and off Shock!!!!! Teapig · 26/11/2011 13:46

Can I climb aboard? Passes round Biscuit and flashes new Christmas jumper.

My first pregnancy ended in an MC in early November, I know it might sound crazy but DH and I are ready to give it another go. As soon as my first post-MC AF shows up we're be back in the TTC saddle so I'll hang out on the stairs and hope to take my seat soon. For once I'm wishing for AF to arrive.

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/11/2011 14:04

Hi all, can I join too? (climbs aboard nervously)

I'm 37 so think I'm the oldest, yikes! I am TTC #2. I have a 22 month old DD who is a delight and a terror in equal measure. At the moment she's a delight as she is asleep Smile

AF arrived today so am on CD1 and according to my cycle chart AF due on 1st Jan. However I have very irregular cycles. My last 4 were 29, 43, 39 and 33 days long so goodness really knows when my next AF is due.

I'm counting this as cycle 1 as we haven't really been serious about it but I am now ready to get down to business so here goes:

Elizadoesdolittle (37) TTC#2 cycle 1 AF due st Jan

getovaryit · 26/11/2011 16:47

Thanks for the welcome and the addition to the stats list! Smile. Loving the Christmas jumper Teapig, is it a hand knitted edition??! Grin. Has anyone actually done anything remotely helpful towards Christmas yet? I keep thinking that there's still loads of time and then I realised today that it's only 4 weeks tomorrow-aaaarrrrrrrgggghhhhh!!!
