Hi everyone,
Well af not due til tomorrow, but i couldnt help doing a sneaky test yesterday ( i know, no willpower) as i bought 10 cheapy ones from ebay, and i thought i could see a very very very faint line!
Then this morning I did another(i know!) and it was a bit of a stronger colour, but took a while to develop!
And im not even due on til tomorrow! I must be mad! Does anyone know how accurate these cheap tests are?
Plus i havent even told dh i have been doing them sneakily, shouldi tell him what ive been up to?!

Whysoserious · 03/01/2012 13:20

I think a line is a line flipflopper - congratulations! Grin

Flipflopper congrats on a very very faint line!

I got a very very faint line yesterday too and asked my DH to check with me to make sure I'm not imagining things!Blush he said he saw it too! But I don't want to get over excited with a very very faint line, so I'm gonna test again in a few days time. temperature this morning is still high so still hopeful. Hope to see two strong lines next time I test!

Whysoserious · 03/01/2012 15:51

Congrats jenni - very exciting! Smile

And I feel so tired this afternoon. I don't know if I'm imagining things, or if it's because it's first day back at work after the Xmas and New Year break! Can't wait to go home.

Hope everyone will get a BFP soon so we will all have a 2012 baby GrinGrinGrin

dameflamingo · 05/01/2012 02:51

So far I have broken 1,5,8,10 and 11 of my resolutions and its only just turned 5th January.I am a cautionary tale inspiration!

Well, major congrats to those with lines, faint and strong..you lucky blighters! just think, in 12 weeks or so ;-) you can answer stupid questions like 'so when are you going to sprog up' with...' actually..' and make sure you look bloody pleased with yourself ...don't forget to remind the person who asks question that they are being utterly insensitive though - you can do that for us all!

Are there enough BFPs in our cohort to start a 'graduates of polar express' thread ? if you don't do that please check in on the expressers from time to time to let us know how you are doing.

Commisserations to those who have just got periods or BFNs however just think you can spend a week or so totally overreacting if asked the same dreaded question because you are 'just hormonal cos its the wrong time of the month' and thus it doesn't count. You could also be drunk as its no longer danger zone...every cloud and all that ;- )

I'm finding that over optimism and abject glibness ( and iced tea of the long island variety) helps me get through the tests I'm being subjected to...you should see me on the Drs table with my legs in stirrups - I'm so blinking funny you'd think it was Joan Rivers having the exam. In the meantime I'm learning lots about the medical profession's dislike of women POAS ( it puts you on a rollercoaster of emotion apparently - anyone concur?) and consulting Dr Google (apparently GPs like to do this themselves rather than have us do it!)...have seen my own insides whilst discussing hair styles and , ahem, enjoyed the ministrations of a whole team of med students (male, disinterested - the story of my life). Am considering getting a puppy instead.Wink

jennilondon · 05/01/2012 08:42

dameflamingo - when you have 11 resolutions it's easy to forget one or two Wink as for the vitamin if you forgot one day I dont think it's the end of the world, just try to remember the next day! As for exercise, I too am finding it hard to find something I like and stick to it. Currently am trying out Zumba at home, it's not too difficult and quite fun! Maybe you'll wanna look into that.

I POAS this morning and got a stronger line than a few days ago, but it's still weaker than the control line. Anyway I believe a line is a line, so I'm over the moon! Good luck to those still trying. I honestly think temping is quite useful in the sense that it tells you when you are likely to ovulate, worth trying! Smile. Hope we will all have a healthy 2012 baby Grin

Zara1984 · 05/01/2012 22:53

Right this 2ww stuff is shite. And I've been an absolute POAS junkie Blush - all BFNs of course!

CD31 - AF due todayish - or anytime until Monday. Boobs really hurt today. A bit crampy but I've had cramps for the past two weeks.

Going to test on Saturday if no AF by then. If I'm not updiffed I just want my period to come so I can start afresh with a new cycle! Angry

Macaroons · 06/01/2012 16:01

This is jennilondon - changed my nickname to something more interesting! Wink

This 2ww thing is annoying, fingers crossed for you zara!! I tested on dpo 9 and got BFN, on dpo 11 got a very very faint line and on dpo 14 the line was still not as strong as the control line, so in a way testing too early doesn't help (but I know it's hard to resist the temptationBlush)

If anyone got a BFP these few weeks I assume your due date would be September 2012! There's a September 2012 thread under pregnancy so please join us when you get your BFP! Good luck to you all! Xxx

Zara1984 · 06/01/2012 16:38

I really hope lots of us (including me!!!) join that thread Macaroons - I took a sneaky look at it and it's a bumper one!

CBFM didn't identify my peak days this month (first month using it) so I have no idea when I ov'd (if I did at all?!?!). I had some spotting this time two weeks ago for a couple of days, no idea what that means.

I had a BFN this time last week, on Tuesday, Wednesday and yesterday. CD32 today and still no sign of AF. Consistently lotiony CM for the past week, sore boobs and bloating (TMI here sorry). Going to test tomorrow morning. No hint of a line really although I thought I might have seen one yesterday??? DH doesn't know I've been testing early, so ashamed.... Blush .... I need to put down the sticks! I promise I'll be better next month if I have no luck this time.... Blush Blush Blush

Hope everybody is having a nice Friday! :)

Macaroons · 06/01/2012 17:15

zara did you say you might have seen a line yesterday? That's certainly a good sign!! Grin test again and fingers and toes crossed for you! When I saw a very very faint line I got my hubby to check that I wasn't imagining things and he saw it too Wink worth getting second opinion Grin check again tmr or Sunday!

Lexie1970 · 07/01/2012 08:10

congrats macaroons on your line!!!

Well for me I am on CD16 and CBFM still not produced any highs yet which is a bit annoying.....

Had nurse appointment on Wednesday to take bloods and get fertility referral rolling but our PCT cuts off at 37 so at 41 I have had it unless we go private!! Have follow up appointment for couple of weeks to talk about next stages. Hope I have a period by then so I can show 4 cycles with BBT and also CBFM readings!

jencd · 07/01/2012 10:02

Can I ask something gross?

My chart with temp says i haven't ovulated yet according to fertility friend, however last week i lots of fertile (ew) CM and (this is the gross bit...) when I was SWI it felt a bit uncomfortable, as though DH was HUGE r than normal. I was wondering if this was because my uterus was low? Is that a sign of OV? I also had for one day only pains in my stomach similar to period pain. I've had really tender breasts for the last four days, normally I have that for a week before AF so I guess I should know before next week if it was OV or not?

Macaroons · 07/01/2012 11:23

jen According to the e-book on fertility friend EWCM is certainly a sign that you are fertile those few days. You are no longer fertile after ovulation so your bodsy adjust and it will get dryer down there after ov. When you SWI did you feel discomfort because you were a little dry? It could be because that's after your fertile period? Have a look at this FF handbook www.fertilityfriend.com/HelpCenter/ffhandbook.html it's long but very informative and explain the subject very well.

jencd · 07/01/2012 12:00

no it wasn't that problem. It just felt like it was going in further than normal, it was a bit of a weird sensation.

Thanks for the link I'll do my home work, it's my first month temping and i've not been doing it regularly everyday, i changed time zones and with it being christmas i had a few lie ins... i guess i just have to be patient waiting for eith AF or preferably BFP! :)

Lexie1970 · 07/01/2012 19:19

jen having temped for a couple of months now, the timing is really important for accuracy - thankfully fertility friend does all the calculations you just input the info - easy peasy lemon squeezy as my son says :) Also I have found that oral temping is a bit hit and miss and this month have used vaginal temping which I found a bit gross to begin with but have got used to it now!!!!

God the telly is crap tonight..... OH is looking forward to Take Me Out which is really dire!!

flipflopper · 08/01/2012 12:31

got a nice strong bfp this morning, so now im worrying like mad, don't think i will relax til 12 week scan.

Good luck to everyone xxx

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 08:49

Congrats flipflopper Grin good luck everyone else waiting for a BFP!

jencd · 09/01/2012 12:55

Congrats flipflopper ! Try not spend this exciting time worrying, it won't be good for your baby, keep relaxed and look forward to seeing him/her wiggle around on that 12 week scan!

I am driving myself nuts with this temping business now...

I travelled home from England to France by car on 2nd and 3rd of Jan. I therefore was up at different times and on 3rd forgot to take my temp. On 2nd and 4th I had very low temps and this is making fertility friend say I did not ovulate. If I remove those three days that I was travelling and changing time zones it says I did OV and am now 2WW day 11. What do you think?

It says to test in 1week, which suits me as it coincides with a very good friend's 12 week scan so I hope it will be a lucky day! FYI this particular friend was told in September that she would have only a 2% chance of conceiving naturally with her DH and she conceived in October! :) For once I don't feel jealous of someone PG, I feel utterly thrilled for! Hopefully her good luck will have rubbed off on us! :)

Lexie1970 · 09/01/2012 14:43

Congrats flipflopper :)

Jen as this month has been a bit hit and miss for you temping wise treat it as a practice run and aim to temp properly next cycle. At least then you will get an accurate graph!!!!

I am on CD18, CBFM has been all lows, temps up and down so convincing myself I am not ovulating this month - why or why have my cycles never gone back to normal......

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f779a/

Almost time for school run and it is a bit chilly outside!

dameflamingo · 09/01/2012 16:39

Congrats flipflopper and macaroons I love the new name by the way!

Lexie the age 37 cut off is super crappy! I wonder what your PCT's 'fertility treatment' guidelines include - hopefully not blood tests to check hormone levels, ovulation timing (was way more effective than charting for me) and the like? surely this is investigation rather than 'treatment'? do let us know how it is going and continue your SWI antics!!! Your GP should in the very least do the bloods and support you or we'll start a MN petition.

jen my personal opinion is that of course you OV'd!! God I am annoyingly postive todayBlush!! and as you've been SWI there is a chance of a BFP.. ladies there is ALWAYS a chance of a BFP if you've been having lots of sex even with cycles that are irregular. Every other day is the prescription by my GP ( who clearly needs to stop handing out advice she could not take herself!)I am blinking exhausted still following this prescription whilst awaiting next AF so I can get more bloods done. As I'm so irregular I can only say I'm on Day 33 of a cycle. I have been having some decent cramps for the past couple of weeks but I am putting it down to old age and high heels!!

jencd · 10/01/2012 08:24

gosh, i promised my self and my DH that we wouldn't get stressed about TTC, and it's only on doctors advice that i have started temping. This morning I did two oral temps straight after each other, 1 was 35.6 degrees and one was 36.4, i did my arm pit 36.1 and my 'women's bits' (lastly of course Wink ) and got 37! WTF????

next month I'm definitely sticking to women's bits all month!

FYI - in order to keep positive I've left FF with two very low temps discarded and am looking at a prettily coloured chart to keep positive!

How many BFPs does the train have now?

dame i think we are on the same days of our cycle, lets stick together for some BFPs! :)
