I shall be your conductor aka Tom whysoserious Hanks so tickets please! Dress code is snuggle PJs or Christmas jumpers.

As well as lots of TTC support we can share in Christmas fun, gift and decoration ideas. We need to be good though to Saint nick brings us our BFPs!

Who's with me?

OP posts:
practicallyimperfect · 29/11/2011 19:16

That's more committed than me. I have no intention of limiting coffee, and not sure I have the energy for all that shagging! How are 2nd ds ever conceived.

signet2012 · 29/11/2011 19:28

I had a look at why this might not be workiing for me and Im blaming coffee. Irrational logic!

2 cups a day for me now no more!

I WILL get BFP this month!!!

Gnomi · 29/11/2011 19:57

signet, I like your style! Might try copying your plan too. Don't know if I can cope until Christmas without three cups of coffee a day!

I have a Pink Pad tracking app - I think it was free - and that seems to work out when your most fertile time is. Hasn't worked for me yet though!

I have to say, I love this thread. It's really laid-back and relaxed. Good for Christmas!

Winkly · 29/11/2011 20:01

I've quit diet coke for PhantomBaby as well as starting folic acid.
The amount I was drinking would have given an elephant the shakes never mind me!

Luckily I'm not a big coffee fan.

Hello all new boarders!

Good plan signet!

This month I am going to

  1. Eat healthily
  2. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week (I got on the scales this morning. I'm 11stone 8 Shock - heavier than I have ever been. I am usually about 9.5 stone and this year, since getting married earlier in the year, I have been so unhealthy. I'm convinced this is one of the reasons for my funny cycles. I'm going to get back into the habit of being healthy and shift some serious poundage!!)
  3. Shag every second day
  4. Chuck a load of stuff out of my house (winter clean if you will)
  5. Enjoy Christmas by decorating the house, having friends over, watching festive films and singing loudly to cheesy Christmas hits
  6. Around OV try to go on a date night with DH - wine him and dine him and then bonk him (hoping that more passionate SWI results in BFP rather than the 'right, hop on then and be quick' sex we've been guilty of having a few times in the last few months! Blush)

practicallyimperfect · 29/11/2011 21:34

Hmm, I probably have more than 3 cups a day.

So the shagging every other day is the way to go? Why's that (sorry complete novice)

Chuckaluck · 29/11/2011 21:39

These all sound good plans! Not sure I could give up diet coke. I get withdrawal headaches if I haven't had one by lunchtime!! I am going to:

  1. Remember to take my folic acid every day!
  2. Go to zumba at least once a week and take the dog out for at least half an hour a day
  3. Try not to get so stressed about stupid rubbish at work Confused
  4. Try to eat my 5 a day fruit and veg every day (does that include chocolate oranges and Wine?!
  5. Sort out all my paperwork and finances ready for the new year

:)

signet2012 · 29/11/2011 21:41

Im basing it on I have no idea when I ovulate. Ovulation kits dont seem to show when this is. I can not face for one minute sticking my hand inside myself to see if my cervix feels like a waffle, orange, pear or mars bar. I have no idea about temperature, when I wake up in the morning Im normally late, I just to say manage to get washed properly before I go to work.

I figure If I have sex every second day then I should "theortically" have live sperm swimming about my various nooks and passages to mean that as soon as my egg even thinks about moving it will walk into a wall of sperm. As sperm lives inside you for up to three days allegedly.

Im hoping that DP sperm is not like him, if it is his sperm will not be rushing around in my womb but will instead be laid probably on my cervix with its little sperm hand stretched out slightly, with his eyes clothed waiting for my egg to come and collect said sperm herself.

TheNewMrsC · 29/11/2011 21:57

Hi ladies like the planning we are all doing I am an obsessive planner this is right up my street !! My immediate plans are :

  1. Get back to the gym haven't been for nearly two months
  2. Have a major clear out I have developed a Monica Gellar cupboard that may or may not have Tom Selleck lurking behind all the junk !!
  3. Decorate (this has been started and is coming along nicely)
  4. Try to eat a lot healthier !!

Has anyone else been really bad and looking at baby stuff ? DH seems to think I have lost the plot a bit !! Blush

signet2012 · 29/11/2011 22:01

Yes - Have checked out cots, wardrobes, other baby stuff that I probably wouldnt need, set up grand plan to decorate house, started saving, hypothetically sorted out my job, hypothetically sorted childcare, planned first holiday..........

I seem to remember from first time round, when it took us 10 or 11 months to hit the jackpot, that grapefruit juice good, bananas bad. I'm also going to get some zinc tablets for DP (he reckons that's what he was taking back then).

Shagging lots is also supposed to be a good idea - did anyone mention that? :)

Squirrel77 · 30/11/2011 08:40

Hi ladies

I can't be assed shagging every second day, but trying to do so every second day around ovulation, and every day once the OPK says "go for it." Also using fertility friend.

In terms of lifestyle: trying to have two alcohol free nights per week( not easy), taking B6, red clover, drinking nettle tea (I sound like a madwoman!), eating lots of full fat dairy (good for twins apparently), trying to exercise 3 times per week. Trying to improve DH's sperm by forcing him to take vitamins as well. Oh yeah and drinking grapefruit juice (good for improving the quality of your, ahem, mucus), and using a mooncup to hold all the sperm in after DTD Grin

I am trying not to look at baby items etc online but often find myself doing a bit of online window shopping , including for maternity clothes (how embarrassing). I have also calculated my due date, 12 week, 2 week etc dates for this cycle already Blush.

Gnomi (29) TTC#1 Cycle 1 AF due ???
Flamingo (34) TTC#1, cycle 8 AF overdue by 3 days but no blue line : (

feeling like I'm waiting for a bus that is running late - I have every sympton of a visit from Aunt Flow ...except the flow bit. Obviously lead to think maybe..just maybe...but no, 'fraid not. I will wait until flow arrives before I open the prosecco I have been promising myself for the past few weeks.

Anyone want a glass?? or are you all eating veg and behaving?!x

OptiMumPrime · 30/11/2011 17:37

Ha ha, Squirrel, I have calculated when I'd be due too, with a day by day calendar of baby development too! Worked out when we can announce to people, all that! Online Tool Here.

Diet Coke is dreadful for you - read up on aspartame. You are better off with normal coke, imho.

Chuckaluck · 30/11/2011 18:00

Really - I am addicted to diet coke - what does it do?

Winkly · 30/11/2011 18:58

(sulks at being left off the lists)
dameflamingo AF due on Saturday and no PMT signs yet so I'll skip the prosecco for now, but had battered sausage and chips last night for dinner - yum - so can't claim to be that healthy. Do mushy peas make it OK?

83BumbleBee · 30/11/2011 19:44

Hey all, can i hop aboard? Very excited waving to everyone.

Im 28, TTC #1, cycle 1, AF came today so not due again until 31st Dec which is fine by me as means i should be ovulating mid December.

Fingers crossed for everyone. x

dameflamingo · 30/11/2011 19:50

winkly - sorry I left you off update. I think mushy peas make the whole meal a healthy option...they're green after all Wink

This evening DH is preparing moules frites - taking advantage of AF..we sure know how to live life on the edge. He has just waved a glass of wine in front of the laptop ...bad man

cherrypiew3 · 30/11/2011 19:52

Dame I will have a glass pleaseSmile

Really feel like we have not done enough this month and only just realised today that I am now in the 2ww.
