Hello! Just miscarried and ready to start again, come and join us...

OP posts:
BlueCrane · 26/08/2011 12:05

manda found your post very interesting?and hoping that it might be true for us that technically ?3 months in? 3 months to fix we might have a better go this cycle!! Though for me that is slightly confused by it being an MMC that was therefore 3 months but not doing much except pumping out confusing hcg for about 6 weeks! Hmm will stick with the PMA that hopefully we?ll get there this cycle! So glad you are feeling more positive about it all!

shimmery how are you doing today? Any sign of AF?

pie really hope you?re feeling a bit better this morning?amazing how the hormones and emotions of it all can be so raw?really hope your holiday provides some good relaxation (and hopefully no AF too!!)

whatso really glad your doc was supportive and helpful and really hope you feel better soon and that the SSRIs help.

Despite heavy AF it?s all rather excited over at HQ BlueCrane as we?ve booked our flights to NYC for friend?s wedding in November Shock they?ve offered us to stay at their flat (they?re in a ncie hotel!) so we don?t need to pay for accommodation which has made the trip more viable cost wise?veeery excited?though have found out that the guy (DH?s friend) used to be a catwalk model and is now marrying a catwalk model so now am panicking a little about what to wear (will wedding be full of super tall skinny beautiful people in designer gear?!?)?and will I be pregnant by then (could be 10 weeks ish if we conceive this cycle) and will I be showing/v bloated etc etc at that point!!! But that would be a good problem to have! Grin

Wishing everyone a Smile Friday!!

eve34 · 26/08/2011 12:33

Morning all

Hope you are all looking forward to a lovely long weekend?

Manda - well done to your daughter you must be very proud. Hope the pizza was good - I am trying to be good for the next 9 days til sister posh wedding. Although I am not so sure a few pounds will make any diffierence 20lb to go til goal so really like to get to it this year!!

Pie hope you are ok and your few days is everything you need it to be. Relax and let others do things for you. Take it easy and be kind to yourself.

Whatso - good to hear your doctor has been supportive. Think a break is a good idea, it is shocking how ttc takes over your life. Hope that with the support and tablets you get back to a good place. Take the support that is out there (did u say you had support line through work?) Hopefully we will have you back in a month or two ready to get back to it :-)

Shimmery - how are you feeling today? I feel nothing this morning but v achey last night and emotions are swinging wildly from wanting to kill DP for no reason to wanting to weep for no reason. Really trying not to get my hopes up. Have in laws for the weekend so won't test til they have gone although AF might arrive before then.

Well the sun is out the house work is done and I have 2 loads of washing on the line. Hoping for a day on the isle of Wight this weekend if is stays nice.

Chin up everyone :-)

eve34 · 26/08/2011 12:35

Sorry blue - NY how exciting you never know you might concieve over ther and have to call the baby new york!!! Fingers crossed it happens before then though. How wonderful.

ShimmeryPixie · 26/08/2011 13:11

I'm glad your doctor could help whatso. Taking a break sounds like a good idea. We'll see you in a while.

Blue and Eve - no sign at all. What's getting me is things are (ahem) a bit moist down there IYSWIM, which is what things were like last time. It really is making me hopeful, damn it - despite the BFN a week ago. However, my boobs aren't particularly sore. Not sure if it's all just wishful thinking Confused

BlueCrane · 26/08/2011 13:59

shimmery I think it might be worth testing in the morning? The 'moistness' could be a symptom as I had that last time, but then also had it earlier this week before AF arrived so not absolutely a sure fire sign...as with all possible AF/PG symptoms they're so so similar...v frustrating! Keep us posted!

manda forgot to say Grin re. your DD's results!! Fantastic news!

eve can you send some sunshine up here? been chucking it down with rain all morning so not boding well for the BH weekend...

Right...back to work...catch up later!!

Missgiraffe1 · 26/08/2011 14:30

Oh man, I can't catch up! Keep reading back then forgetting who said what by the time I get to the bottom. I'll need to take notes soon. And I thought I was a chatterbox?! (And, I just realised I wrote "I thinked.." in a previous post Blush What is wrong with me?! Oh, I know, I must be pg and I have placenta brain already Grin Grin )

Except, POAS yesterday and today, bfn of course. AF due Mon/Tues. Will try to hang on to last stick until Monday if AF not here.

Whatso glad to hear your GP appointment went well. Maybe even having a month or so off TTC will allow you some time to relax without the constant stress of waiting for AF, cursing AF, willing AF away followed immediately by SWI did I/did I not Ov?, the 2ww, symptom spotting etc etc. will help in itself. Best wishes and hope to see you back and happy in a month or two. x

Manda whoohoo, go DD, clever girl! That's amazing. Btw, your last post was very calming and sensible. I think I'll switch over from Rock to Classical FM just for a short time Smile

Blue whoohoohoo! NYE! Lucky you. Fingers crossed for a neat little bump by then Smile. As I said, PMA that next months will be the month. I should know by Monday if I'll be joining you in another month of TTC madness (I suspect so).

Pie Sorry to hear your Progesterone wasn't what you hoped it would be, but from your earlier post, it sounds like you've seen some improvement in terms of things settling down? Try to focus on the positive (I sound so confident, yet I was googling short luteal phase for about 2 hours the other night at about 1am in the morning! Even though I have no reasons to believe I have a problem with that Confused ).

Marathon I set that program to record, but DD has set 2 other things to record too, so gues whose choice got scrubbed?? Wish I had seen it, sounded really interesting.

Hi everyone else IQ Eve Shimmery Summer Baby , congrats to those losing weight, gaining weight (the baby definitely needs cake), happy hols to those going away for the weekend/week, good luck to those POAS this weekend (eeek! FX for some BFPs, Shimmery, hope you're coping with the metalling ok) and have fun to everyone going for it with the SWI this weekend! Smile

The sun is out and as soon as I finish work at 4, I am heading out the back door with a small Wine

Keeps the chins up ladies, the tits out (even if they are different sizes Wink ) and PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA all the way to BFP (and D day of course!) Smile Smile smile]

Missgiraffe1 · 26/08/2011 17:06

Have worked an hour extra, now the sun is gone and it has been pi$$ing down, thunder & Llghtening too. I feel cheated Sad

Summerbird73 · 26/08/2011 17:51

Hi ladies i have had a manic few days, busy at work and i have had a stinking cold, so i have been lurking and every time i go to post i get called away by work/DH/DS etc etc which is highly frustrating

Anyway i just wanted to jump on and say good luck to whatso you will be missed but you absolutely should take a break for a month or two, let the medication do its stuff then re-evaluate. Wishing you all the best Smile and keep in touch, we may see you on chat or AIBU (we shall be allies of course )

sorry i havent had a chance to fully catch up but we are off to the ILs for the Bank Hol weekend so i wont get a chance to catch up until tuesday now.. so i have baked you all some rocky road (without raisins as i cant stand them!) - i know we are all trying to be good but fill your boots its the weekend!

I am 13 DPO today so expecting AF to arrive tomorrow - i am only CD26 today but am a little apprehensive this month, like i reeeeeally want to be PG but am scared to be now Hmm

And i am loving blues PMA and optimism - loved how you were researching flights for the olympics around your potential due date!! thats what i like to see!

waves to everyone - really sorry for not name checking but need to go and replace all the DVDs that DS has kindly arranged on the floor!

Summerbird73 · 26/08/2011 17:52

and have a lovely weekend everyone Smile

zebradoodle · 26/08/2011 17:59

Hi everyone , wondered if you'd mind me coming to join you?

I had an MMC diagnosed last week, ERPC on Tuesday. Sooo, while I know it's early for me to be shuffling over here, I have fingers crossed I'll get to return to the ttc fray when the wounds (of all types) are healed.

The miscarriage threads are lovely and supportive, but of course very Sad, and now I've done my share of sobbing it would be fab to come and hang out with you lovely forward-looking ladies and generate some of the olde PMA (she says optimistically, as doubtless I'll be in full need of the excellent-sounding padded cell when it actually comes down to it).

Plus, I'm happy to bring along much Brew and Wine to contribute if that's any help :)...

ShimmeryPixie · 26/08/2011 18:20

Hi Zebra, you are very welcome :). We're definitely focussed on the PMA, and if you feel ready to join, then it's the perfect time.

We are also focussed on chocolate (mmmm - rocky road...)

Summerbird73 · 26/08/2011 18:23

zebra hi welcome you will fit right in here Smile

Sad about your mmc but good to hear you are channeling the PMA.

got to dash as DS on lap but catch you all in a few days

Summerbird73 · 26/08/2011 18:23

that was supposed to be Wine Blush

zebradoodle · 26/08/2011 19:18

Ah, thanks so much ladies, really appreciate the welcome.

(Always overjoyed with cheeky wine or chocolate - in fact been experimenting with microwave-ability of latter for optimal warm-and-goey-ness (it's been a slow week). Rocky road performing most favourably :).)

Wishing everyone a lovely (and relaxing!) long weekend.

Missgiraffe1 · 26/08/2011 19:41

Hi Zebra and welcome. So sorry to hear of your MMC but glad you've found us. You'll meet a mad bunch on here, but also a very supportive, and - quite frankly - invaluable group of women. I don't know who else I would have ranted to if I didn't have my metaller MN buddies!!

PMA is what it's all about. Not always so easy in practice but, if one of us is down, the others will help to pick us up again. That's the great thing about it.

Hope you enjoy your weekend too, and are being taken care of Smile

And I will gladly accept a Wine, cheers Smile (only since it's Friday of course Hmm Wink)

ShimmeryPixie · 27/08/2011 07:22

Right ladies - I caved (mainly because DH pointed out that a BFN would mean I could have a G&T today). And the result is...slightly inconclusive.

I had 2 Sainsbury's PG tests and have used both this morning. Consultation with DH confirmed a very very very very very faint line seemed to be present on one, and it was arguable about the second. It certainly wasn't blank, but it was a case of "tilt it so the light is right" to see it. As BFPs go, I am not hugely convinced, but at the same time I have seen definited BFNs (e.g. 6 days ago) and they are different to what I got this morning.

Now, last time I used First Response early tests, and the line was also v v v v v faint, so maybe that is to be expected for me. No idea if Sainsbury's tests are less sensitive. But of course, that PG was a failure, so possibly not a good comparator. Given the faintness, it is possible that it hasn't really worked and so is possibly on its way out. Also, my boobs really do not hurt. However, AF is still markedly absent.

Taking the results to be BFPs, I have, of course, done everything wrong since the BFN - cider, antihistamines and two lots of sushi spring to mind. Damn it.

This is really, therefore, a long way of saying I will have to buy more tests, wait a few days, and test again. If I get BFP then, I'll be more able to accept it. I think that I will go the digital route next time!

PieMistress · 27/08/2011 09:01

Shimmery how many dpo are you? Fingers crossed a definite BFP is coming your way!!!! I am 11dpo now and no spotting (yet, although have probably tempted fate in writing that) which is a marked improvement on last cycle when I started spotting at 8dpo. I'm sure the acupuncture is helping? I spoke to him about my low progesterone level last night and he wasn't bothered at all, guess that's the difference between western and TCM. He put the needles in to increase blood flow to my womb.

Welcome zebra !! So sorry to hear of your MMC :(

Anyway, i'll be offline for a whole week! How will I cope! :) Hopefully lots of BFPs when I come back from hols! I have managed to lose my phone in the house (on silent) so will be on hols without it which is panicking me alot slightly!

Right, better go back as haven't done it yet and we are leaving after lunch! Have a good bank holiday weekend everybody xx

eve34 · 27/08/2011 10:03

morning all

Just a quick one to let you knoe AF showed up yesterday. I am so upset. So silly it is only the first month of really trying since MC and I just want to cry. Have houseful so nowhere to go for little sob. And DP sulking because I didn't want to sts this mornign with a houseful DS sleeping on our floor and AF.

Z - sorry you had to join us but this is the place to be - ignore my rant!

Shimmary - a positive is a positive... :-)

Hope everyone has a great weekend I will be sulking, drinking and eating pate. Oh and to top it off I have put on 2lb in a day due to AF. TFB!

BlueCrane · 27/08/2011 11:48

Morning all...I'm in a PMA mood today so am painting the spare room/office nursery ! It's needs redecorating anyway and I figured whilst I'm still fine to balance on ladders etc I may as well get on with it and then it's a job ticked off the to do list for when I am pregnant!! Have chosen v neutral colours so will still be fine in it's capacity as spare room/office and will convert nicely to a nursery when the time comes I have the whole scheme and accessories planned in my head Smile DH is fast asleep after a 14hour night shift at work last night so I'm trying not to drop anything or make too much noise as well!

A very warm welcome to zebra so sorry to hear about your MMC Sad but hoping you find lots of PMA and helpful support and advice here...these girls are fab Grin ooh...and thank you for the rocky road

OOH shimmery think that's sounding good! When I got my bfp last time it wasn't until about 15DPO and then was v v faint and got slowly stronger over a few days...and it was 19DPO before I got a bfp on a digi...people's hormones can multiply at different rates which is why it sometimes takes longer to show up...sending lots of PMA your way!!! Smile

pie so glad you've made it to 11DPO with no spotting...that's great progress! Have a fantastic and super relaxing week!!!

eve Sad for you with AF turning up...come and sit with me in the chocolate eating, hot water bottle cuddling part of the padded room...and cry as much as you need to! I did a lot when my first AF showed up...and indeed did on and off throughout the cycle after that...I actually found that was when a lot of the emotions from the MC seemed to finally surface. Be kind to yourself and take it easy. I tried to comfort myself that at least my body was 'returning to normal' and that I would have a date to work from properly for my next cycle.

Waves to everyone else...hope you're enjoying the BH Saturday...I'd better finish my Brew and get back to the painting...second coat on first wall here we come!

ShimmeryPixie · 28/08/2011 11:44

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, it seems that it wasn't to be. Started bleeding yesterday evening and have the most horrendous stomach cramps. My best guess is that implantation failed to work properly (so I'm going to class this one as a "late period" and move on). Feeling a bit :( about it, but it's also given me a bit of hope, as this was only our second attempt post MC and at least the egg was fertilised (so I can assume that DH's swimmers are OK and that I am properly ovulating).

Ergo, I will be having a G&T tonight with my personal favourite comfort food (mac 'n' cheese) which DH is thoughtfully providing to me. He really is wonderful.

MarathonMama · 28/08/2011 13:31

Oh Shimmery that's such a shame. Feeling Sad for you. You're right though, it does mean that something is working so at least, after you've got over this one, you can be more positive next month.

Rocky Road? Did I hear Rocky Road? I bloody love Rocky Road! Swallows a piece whole...

Zebra welcome! Sorry to hear about your mmc, exactly the same thing happened to me and I totally understand why you're here. MissG lured me over from the mc threads and I really found being somewhere more positive and forward thinking beneficial for moving on. You'll have lots of up and down days over the next few months but we'll all be here to help, these ladies are FAB!

Eve sorry AF got you, can understand why you feel sad, it's like starting again when AF comes. Keep positive though, boobs out at MissG would say! If you can't face the boobs out thing, have another piece of Rocky Road Smile

Pie you can't leave us now! We'll all be waiting on tenterhooks until you get back. Have you tested yet? Maybe a cheeky one before you go? Have a good time and hope you find your phone.

MissG, Manda, IQ and anyone I've missed, where are you guys at the moment?

Am managing to keep Iron Maiden at bay today, no metalling as keep forgetting I'm pg. I do look pg today after eating the biggest roast dinner you've ever seen. I've got a Roast Chicken, Roast Pots, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, brocolli, peas, gravy and chocolate cake bump Grin

OP posts:
BlueCrane · 28/08/2011 17:19

Oh shimmery so so sorry... Sad the waiting is awful and then to get AF and v bad cramps is just horrid...enjoy your G&T and mac'n'cheese and really hope the cramps ease off soon...

marathon roast dinner sounds yummy...I managed a sandwich before cracking on with the painting again even though I ached all over after doing just 2 walls yesterday Blush

Will catch up properly later but quick to say hello...back to the painting!

Missgiraffe1 · 28/08/2011 20:06

shimmery so sorry to hear that. As you say though, if you got a line - even if a faint one - the swimmers must have done their job & you must've have ov (and implanted even if for a very short time). Post MC it's such a worry about whether things are actually working as they should, so I'm glad you're taking some comfort from that.

eve sorry the witch got you too, hope you managed to have a wee cry as it's not a bad thing to let your emotions out.

I am full of the cold, and was soooooo tired all day yesterday. My SIL brought ciders down last night & i couldn't even finish one glass (NOT like me !) Was at a christening today, decided to be designated driver as I didn't want to drink just incase. Had 1sainsburys test left, which I did yesterday. I thought there was a very very faint line. Was one of those 'tip it to the light' lines so wasn't convinced. So, once I dropped friends home, I went to Tesco & bought 2 tests and another, darker line appeared! it's definitely looks like a bfp! Have the other to do in the morning so will report back.

Gotta shoot, pick up DD. Be back tomorrow. Hope you've had a good weekend (and enjoy the long weekend, which doesn't apply to me Sad )

BlueCrane · 28/08/2011 21:47

Grin missg keep us posted!!!

I'm soooo tired after more painting today and the wall I did today is going to need a third coat which is very irritating as means tomorrow is going to be more painting...so much for resting at some point this weekend Hmm but AF seems to be going which is good...hoping I don't get the spotting the same as last cycle (which lasted for 2 weeks!!) but 4 days bleed seems about right whereas last time it was just 3 before it all went a bit crazy so hoping it's settled down a bit more and we'll get the SWI plan ready to action v soon Wink

Missgiraffe1 · 29/08/2011 11:03

Well, tested with FMU and it's a definite BFP! Am with Marathon on the ostrich technique for coping though. Seems hard to believe. And I drank quite a lot on Friday night, as I really didn't think I'd be pg this month Confused .

Marathon can I ask how you are l or would that be too much like asking you to admit to being pg again, and not let you stay in your 'happily in denial' place? Smile

Blue jeez, you've been busy! Glad AF seems more normal, hope that's your WTF time well and truly gone now. Loving your PMA Grin

Shimmery hope your cramps have subsided and you're feeling a bit better. You're DH sounds lovely. Making you your favourite dinner Smile which would taste all the better washed down with a large G&T in the circumstances.

Eve how are you? Did you have your day on the Isle of Wight this weekend?

Summer any news from you? I like raisins on their own only, but hate the thought of them in anything! So will happily have some raisin-free rocky road if there's any left? Hmm

Hi to Manda IQ Baby Poppy Zebra Pie (happy hols!) and anyone else still about.
