OK so i have been feeling queasy allll day. I so want to test and have talked to DH tonight, we have agreed to at least give it until Friday, although he wants to go out on Friday night - i have said i may give in and do it then even if he is out! That is of course if AF doesnt show by then

missg i am thrilled you have seen your lil bean! It must have felt so good coming out of there with a smile on your face!

I have also consulted DH on this matter, our area is chockerblock with expectant mums and we have merged with another hospital so i have no chance of a viability scan until 14 weeks they will only scan you at the EPU if you are bleeding (i have heard of manipulative people lying about bleeding to get an early scan ) sooooo we will def get a private scan circa 8 weeks. i think they cost about £75, i expected DH to say no but he was all for it

Apologies in advance at me me post this morning - despite what seemed like a temp rise yesterday I am right back down again today. So no ovulation yet for me despite this being CD 30 I am so unbelievably frustrated, it is so hard to keep the PMA when I don't have a clue when I will ovulate. Its not that the SWI isn't lovely, its just that there's so much pressure to keep at it every other day until O, but if you don't O until after CD30.......

Sorry ladies, I know there are those of you out there with greater worries and I am sorry if this seems a little silly Just needed to get that out there

Poppyjen the point of this thread is that we share all of our worries, no matter how big or small. Of course you are frustrated, i would be if i got to that point. I am sending you bucketloads of PMA, and a VIP ticket to the padded cell

poppy at no Ov yet for you...so sorry you're having to wait so long...has it been this long before? There's some brownies still available if you'd like them?

summer how are you feeling today...well done for holding out and not POAS!!

DH and I are feeling sooo different about everything this time around, it may sound odd but everything felt like a hassle/not right last time (even though we were actively TTC and v v pleased with the bfp), it took til CD44 to get a result and then when I got my bfp I told DH on the phone which wasn't great, my doc then said the line wasn't dark enough on my test and told me to come back in a week (I'm now with a new GP!), the dates didn't sit right and various other things too...and then the MMC of course! Whereas this time we both just feel much more positive and peaceful about the whole thing, which is so strange as we should be feeling more nervous IYSWIM But I'm going to try and cling to the PMA to get through the next few weeks until scan time! We're seeing DH's parents in a couple of weeks so have decided we'll tell them then and ring my Mum & step-Dad on skype before we go.

i am feeling 'normal' today i am 13DPO but only CD25. I could def test today but am now convinced AF will get me this week i also gave in on the coffee amnesty and had a decaff latte, though a decaff only has a max of 25mg of caffeine in it so i should be ok if i am pg. feeling a bit flat about it though... any chocolate brownies left over?

Not really many symptoms to speak of here apart from TMI ALERT lots of creamy CM? Am only 7dpo. Have a horrible feeling AF will come early and on Saturday too when i'm all dressed up in my bridesmaid glory!

Pie both with my DS, MC and chemical last cycle I had lots of creamy CM from about 5 or 6DPO onwards....fingers crossed this is a good sign for you too!!

Thanks Summer and Blue for your lovely PMA words! Blue it has been this long before, MC cycle it was CD36 but I was really hoping things had got back to a more normal range. My fear (possibly unfounded) is that by the time I do actually ov, the little egg has been hanging around for so long that it can't do its job properly hence MC and Chemical pg. Thank you Dr Google for planting that seed! Does anyone know if this could be true?

summer and pie I really didn't have many symptoms to speak of last week, as someone pointed out to me I did post here about feeling sick on friday but I really thought that was just due to the lack of sleep I'd had all week - slept appallingly all week (though maybe that was a sign )! I have never stopped caffeine though do only drink a couple of cups of normal tea a day and a few decaf ones and I can't drink caffeinated coffee anyway as it gives me huge headaches so I've always been a decaf latte girl! pie I also had a lot of creamy CM last week so hoping that's a good sign for you! Also really hope you both get some good news this week!!!

Can't work out if I'm hot or cold at the mo...stupid cold! Nose streaming and sneezing too...lovely! But PMA it's a good cover up for feeling so tired and being a bit ditzy with all these hormones flying around at the moment! And also meant I could go to the docs yesterday without anyone at working get suspicious!

poppy I wouldn't have thought there could be much truth re the 'egg hanging around too long' thing, as far as I understand it we're basically born with all the eggs we'll ever have and the body just chooses which one to release each cycle, so technically they've all been 'hanging around' a while anyway IYSWIM so Ov date shouldn't make any difference Have you been to the docs about your long cycles though (sorry if you've mentioned this before!)?

poppy have you tried acupuncture for regulating your cycles? I have been for a few sessions recently and it has really helped. I would whole heartedly recommend it. If you look on here there are quite a few threads about the benefits of it when TTC etc and somebody might be able to recommend one near to you? I had also read things on Dr Google about late ovulation and I specifically asked my acupuncturist this. He put the needles in a different place that week and managed to bring it forward a few days.

Have just been to the loo and there is even more CM ?!! It is actually quite a ridiculous amount (almost like EWCM but more creamy in colour, quite globby and not as stretchy but still a little stretchy?!) I am too scared to let myself mental too much as I have let myself get my hopes every month so far only to be crushingly disappointed when I start spotting.

I did have a very random dream about Rob Lowe last night (he of 'About Last Night' fame, drool!) although it wasn't in a sexy way! :(

The hope filled 2ww is very difficult isn't it. This morning I did think to myself that if do get pg again and we have a little girl then I would love to call her Hope :)

I have thought about alternative therapies for the late ovulation issue, but I have been a bit put off acupuncture after having a few sessions when DS was overdue - antenatal teacher and hypnobithing teacher (yes I was one of those...and will be again when we have the next DC ) both swore blind that acupuncture would work for me. DS had moved right down, I was 2cm dilated for a week, getting reglular braxton hicks and then after 3 (very expensive) sessions of acupuncture to kick start things (and 5 cervical sweeps.....nothing. DS was 16 days late and emergency C section after all that.

I know that just because it didn't work for that doesn't mean it wouldn't work a charm on other issues but I was really disappointed. I promise I will remove this prejudice and think about it afresh if things continue to be this bad

Blue I have seen the Dr about this but they won't refer me to anyone as I have already been diagnosed with PCOS. I am truly truly frustrated with them as they told me that as I already had one healthy child they didn't have the resources to refer me to anyone in relation to fertility issues. They just said that the normal advice is to wait 12 months but as PCOS sufferers are (apparently) half as likely to fall pregnant in any given cycle than others that they wouldn't even consider a referral until 18 months after the MC.

I am very with them as the consultant who diagnosed me in the first place said that we should try for 6 months and if nothing happened then he would start me on Clomid. I can't go back to see him as this was private appointment (back in the days when I had medical insurance with work) and i have moved away from the area. I feel a bit like I am being fobbed off.

Anyway my mum has offered to pay for me to have a private consultation here if I want and DH and I have agreed if nothing has happened by Christmas we will go and see someone in the New Year.

Sorry what a rant that was!

Hello folks! Thanks to Piemistress' invitation, I find myself wanting some support please. I am 35, Dh is 38. We had been ttc for 2 yrs+ then had a mc in march at 8.2 weeks. Been ttc since August. no joy. Fertility tests on both sides came back as normal. Would be very grateful to join you guys for moral support and advice. Thank you :-)

Smiley and wishing so sorry you have both found yourselves here but you'd be hard pressed to find a more supportive bunch of ladies. I say it everytime a newbie arrives - I don't know what I would have done without this platform to vent and share my woes and worries, and the support (and occasional kick up the bum, no names mentioned Summer ) that helped me through the bad times. There have also been some giggles along the way. The PMA mantra of this thread is Chin Up, Boobees out (.)(.) and PMA all the way to that BFP, so we'll all be rooting for you and PMAing for you over however many months it takes.

Poppy no issue is too trivial or silly. It must be incredibly frustrating, especially when you're getting other symptoms suggesting Ov is just around the corner Our bodies can be cruel sometimes. But yeah to fabulous Mums!

Blue if you read back to when I got my BFP, I was exactly the same! The cold from hell, started with a sore throat for me. It seems really common actually. Was nice to read how you and Mr Blue are feeling quite chilled just now. I will join you in the PMA. I'm just taking one day at a time. I told my Bro, SIL and Dad yesterday, all delighted, then Mr Giraffe phoned his Mum when we got in - I could hear her screeching from the other room!

Wee baby R still up and down, apparently it can go on like this for up to 3 months. My cousin says she feels like daisy the cow, as she's been pretty much hooked up to a machine numerous times every day. At least she sounds in good spirits - considering.

Marathon and IQ hope all contineus to be well in mini-me land . IQ, I am eating like a pig way too much. Have that nausea that goes away for a short time just after you eat, then comes back less than an hour later. I was of your 3 course breakfast!

Well! I was thrown into the 1980's today... actually, even earlier than that because I didn't even have BBC1, 2 and ITV. Early morning, my cable tv and broadband vanished (not physically, that would be silly - I mean the service just went kaput) I called up my provider Virgin, the gits and I could hear my call was routed half way across the world (the slight echo-y line and forrin accent gave it away) The conversation went something like this:

Virgin Rep (in india) : Can I take your name?
Me: MandaHugNKiss
VRii: What is your problem MandaHugNkiss?
Me: My tv channels and internet have disappeared. I have error code 12/13 and 16 alternately displaying on the box. I've already tried reboot both the tv box and my router which hasn't helped.
VRii: Is there an error code on your screen MandaHugNKiss
Me: Uh.. yes. Well, no. THe screen is blank, it's on the box.
VRii: Is there a time displayed on your box, or an error code MandaHugNKiss?
Me: There's an error code.
VRii: What is the error code, MandaHugNKiss?
Me: it shows 12, 13 and 16.
VRii: Let me just run a check, MandaHugNKiss
Me: Ok
VRii: There are no issues in your area so we need a technician to come to you, MandaHugNkiss. FIrst available is thursday - 8-12, 12-4, 4-8, which slot would you prefer MandaHugNkiss?
Me: So, I'll have no service until at least Thursday!?!
VRii: I'm very sorry MandaHugNKiss there are no technicians available until Thursday. It will be a free of charge visit, MandaHugNKiss.
Me: But it must be a problem in the area? Why would both my tv box AND my router go at the same time? If it was a problem wih my box that the technician could fix, it wouldn't affect my router and vice versa, surely?

Me: I have had this service for nearly 15 years - the first thing I did was check the wires and reboot the boxes before calling you.

manda LOL at your conversation re. the TV...how I hate making those calls when you know you're not going to get anywhere at all...we have had many a frustrating call with BT about our internet over the last few years! On a different note please come and join missg and I in the PMA corner of the mosh pit where there are psychedelic 70's happy flowers everywhere and lots of cake to keep missg's appetite at bay, I seem to have lost mine at the moment!

missg the cold is proving a good distraction tactic at the moment but I wonder whether the sudden changes in our bodies do mean that we are more susceptible to colds etc at this time! I'm trying to embrace it and not moan too much

wishing I re-read your post after I posted earlier and realised I hadn't fully acknowledged what you've been through after 2 years TTC as others have said I really hope you get a sticky bean soon. This thread is fab for hand holding, metalling assistance and general keeping going!

my temps have started going back up the last two days. if it stays up i might be ov'ing.

got my accupuncture on saturday so i am hoping that will help my cycles.

Sorry for being awol for a few days, I had a surprise visit from some relatives for my birthday so haven't had chance to come online. So much seems to have happened! Firstly, massive congrats to Blue! Keep up the PMA

I can't believe how much this thread has changed over the last few months. It's really inspiring. Not just the BFPs but also all the PMA and taking control. It's lovely to be part of it.

No news here, I popped out last week so am now wearing maternity clothes. A great excuse for some shopping on my birthday, I didn't want to buy anything until I really needed it (I was 14 weeks when we had the mmc so had already bought a few bits that I ended up taking back, very depressing). I didn't show until 5 months with DD so I'm slightly concerned that I'm going to be the size of a house. Especially as I'm eating 6 meals a day I think I've started to feel some movement too but it's very early for that so it might just be wind

Manda totally sympathise re. Virgin. Had something very similar with BT, spent a total of 22 hours on the phone to an Indian call centre (I kid you not). It culminated in a BT engineer visiting and having to call through to the Indian call centre to order a new hub. It was classic, they made him go through their troubleshooting list and he ended up shouting and shaking the home hub down the phone at them (the reason we had a problem was that the hub they sent us was broken, it rattled when you shook it but the Indians didn't have this on their list so they wouldn't send the engineer another one). we tried to tell them from the start that it was faulty (it was falling apart!) but they still insisted on making us check this, that and the other. Infuriating! Luckily we got a massive apology and some compensation.

Still totally bunged up and full of cold today but I POAS one of my Internet cheapies this morning and the line was definitely darker than Sunday so am about that. I'll wait until Sunday to use another CB Digi and hopefully there'll be progression to 2-3weeks from conception! Currently 4+1 so still v v early days! Realised last night that if all goes well I'll be 10weeks when we go to New York for our friend's wedding...which is going to be a posh one...no idea what I'm going to wear as I'd bought a dress and some heels but think the heels are going to be too high (I'm not very good with heels normally!) and dress isn't going to be very flattering if I'm super bloated etc...can see me taking them back and going back to the drawing board! I also have another wedding in January too so ideally would be good to get something suitable for both but am a bit nervous (despite my PMA) of getting waaaay ahead of myself Think I need to wait until after my early scan when hopefully I can feel a bit more confident going shopping?!?

shimmery, pie how are you both? Any sign of AF or POASing this week? Thinking PMA thoughts for you both too!!
