The first rule of the BESH fight club is that you don't talk about how easy it was to get updiffed.
The second rule is that you don't talk about the BESH fight club.

There you go. We have a destroyed spa to fight in - we just weren't relaxed enough.

Bring it on bitches.

Great news, kat!

eurochick · 22/08/2011 17:53

That's excellent news, kat!

I am going for a good dildocamming on saturday (alas, there will be no baby to see, but at least I am making progress!).

A dildocam is not as good as we make it out to be. Unless the sonographer is very fit and you are happy to get your knicks off for him of course!
It is required for the following:

  1. To see if there is anything shifty looking about your womble and nearby parts. To have a look at your ovaries to see if they may be afflicted with pcos.

  2. To see a pregnancy in its very early stages, ie less than 6 weeks. And to get a better picture.

  3. To confirm a miscarriage when you have just had the bellycam and they cant see the baybee. They dildocam you just to make sure.

Really relieved for you Katkin & glad you saw someone with common sense Grin

Hello BB, Brownie & welcome home Euro

We did The Sechs once at the right time this month. FFS.

eurochick · 22/08/2011 21:17

I've had them a couple of times to get a good view of my ovaries. They can sort of use the dildocam to prod them into the position they want to view them.

The first time I had one really took me by surprise. I went to get a breast lump checked out and the consultant said that my boobs are v cysty, they should be ultrasounded and they can check out my ovaries too! I was expecting to get my tits out but the dildocam came as rather a surprise! I came out of there covered in lube, top and bottom! Confused

InTheSunshine · 22/08/2011 21:58

NYC Bugger? I luff it there.

Tit grope & dildocam in one day Euro you lucky girl!!

I am going tomorrow for cervix cell scraping. What an absolute delight.

MadameBoo · 22/08/2011 22:04

Great news Kat :) Brill, brill, brill and long may it continue (well for 32ish more weeks anyway).

I had to do the 'oh I'm so thrilled for you face' today when I picked smallboo up from nursery after an extremely stressful work day and one of the Mum's announced her pregnancy - after 2 months of 'not really trying'. She does know how long we've been trying and she didn't want me to find out on facebook so she was trying to spare me any pain, and I am pleased for her, but was caught totally of guard.

Forgive my stray apostrophe, I am not with child and a bit depressed about it to boot.

It is utter utter shite this baybee lark.

bugs I recommend hassling your doctor as much as poss. Don't say you have only been really trying since december, count is from when you came off the pill so they will take you more seriously. Well, unless you were using other contraception, in which case you might just need to wait a bit. Especially as you are having irregular periods - they should be investigating that by now, regardless of ttc. You are due to lose your dildocam virginity in my opinion.
If I had listened to the idiot gp this time around I would not have had my hospital appointment yesterday and I would not be on the treatment, therefore I would probably be on the verge of miscarrying again.
Be persistent and get some tests done!

Sorry about the crappy piss sticks. Get your red pens out. Drink the gin.

AlpinePony · 23/08/2011 09:54

bugger Did you have any problems like that before going on the pill? Grab medee if you can, she had some ridiculously long cycles when she came off the pill - perhaps she has some clever advice.

BarbiesBeaver · 23/08/2011 10:16

Kat it's worth experimenting with the Clexane injections - I started off doing them in my thighs and belly and got huge bruises at the injection sites. They were a bit stingy too. With practice they do get better - I found a few sites at the top sides of my thighs (about a handspan under my hip bone, pinch a good bit of skin, then needle in (do this without hesitation and quickly - get yer bloke to do it if you can't) and slowly inject it all. Leave needle for a second after full injection, then withdraw. Don't rub the site it'll make it bruise worse, just press a bit on the site slightly if it's bleeding with a tissue. If it's the preloaded glass syringes, I found the rubber plunger can stick a bit and make it tricky to push down, so I used to push the air bubble out of the syringe before injecting (even though you don't have to do this to be safe) just to get the plunger moving easier.

Sorry that was very boring for everyone else - but I found them tricky injections to get right!

bugs that sounds a bit more reassuring, at least you have had 3 reasonable cycles in that time and good reasons for the long ones. stress can do funny things to your body. Very good that you don't have pcos. You're probably right, since you definitely weren't trying in the autumn, wait until the year is up. Hopefully your cycle will get nicely on track in that time.

That sounds v sensible bugger. I'd quite like a month "off" just to see if the 2ww feels any different or whether I don't get the preggo-type symptoms I am regularly noticing now, indicating that things are happening the months we are trying. But I am a bit panicked by my age and time going by so I won't let myself miss a cycle by choice. At some point I will probably have to if work travel coincides with ov.

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 24/08/2011 09:52

I might start it Boo. It won't be funny. It will be along the lines of "We'd better fucking cunting well get pregnant this months or we'll flounce ad give up the whole business. Bustards."

MadameBoo · 24/08/2011 10:44

I can go with that. Lets just be pissed off and sulk. But throw a hot man in as well.

OP posts:
eurochick · 24/08/2011 11:02

My droid arrived overnight so I am well up for a bit of sulking and being p1ssed off. That would suit me. But before we leave, could the fight club members give it a good kicking please?

It is proof (were it needed) that the irritating "ooo just relax and it'll happen/go on holiday or something" type advice is BS.
