The first rule of the BESH fight club is that you don't talk about how easy it was to get updiffed.
The second rule is that you don't talk about the BESH fight club.

There you go. We have a destroyed spa to fight in - we just weren't relaxed enough.

Bring it on bitches.

No haven't got any apart from this morning and that is cos I am uber tired and had a poorly tummy on the flight home yesterday. I've never had nausea any time really.

AlpinePony · 20/08/2011 11:19

Is it possible you can ask tomkat to conduct a um... 'sniff' test. Some men are able to smell a difference in secretions in their partner.

InTheSunshine · 20/08/2011 11:22

Oh Kat am thinking of you. Hope the doctors put your mind at rest tomorrow

InTheSunshine · 20/08/2011 11:23

Sorry Monday. I am not sure what day it is at the moment Confused

kat2504 · 20/08/2011 11:34

Thanks sunny
pone No way! He will be thinking he is about to be getting some action! Interesting theory though. I have been examining my secretions in detail to compare colour/quantity/consistency but I have never tried sniffing the stuff.

eurochick · 20/08/2011 18:38

Hello BESHES. How are you all? I am just back from my hollibobs in Malta. Thankfully, driving on roads inhabited by homicidal maniacs in a hire car that felt like it was about to fall apart any minute has kept my mind off my teflon womb for most of this 2ww. I haven't caught up on the thread yet but will do so over the weekend. I just wanted to give you all a quick wave for now.

MadameBoo · 20/08/2011 21:10

Welcome home drop kick for Euro (followed by a surreptitious squeeze - but don't tell anyone).

Kat I am hoping so hard for you that all is well.

I am watching Sex In The City. I don't want to go to work tomorrow.

Kat thinking about you.

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 06:25

Thanks! I think I may be feeling a bit more diffed today. Or perhaps I am worrying myself sick rather than actually having nausea. Either way, no more spotting, no mc yet so trying to think positive. Hopefully the consultant will be nice today. Actually I doubt I'll see a consultant, it will probably be a junior but so long as they arrange a scan and tell me I don't have the lupus anticoagulant thingy I'll be happy-ish.

AlpinePony · 22/08/2011 06:33

I'm glad to hear you're feeling sick Kat! Wink I really do hope it all goes well today, what time are you scooting in?

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 06:37

ten past two this afternoon. They won't tell me if it's viable today, unless they are in the mood for an impromtu dildocamming. Unlikely. I guess I'll have to wait for 8 weeks and the bellycam option. The EPU thinks holding out for 9 weeks is better but i don't share their opinion strangely enough!

AlpinePony · 22/08/2011 06:50

Huh? I thought you were getting dildo'd today. Confused How many weeks are you now? I thought you were 8 already. I think given the spotting you experienced and your medical history, that a camming is in order for today. Demand to be done!

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 06:58

I'm 6+4 today. The rationale is that if you have a good scan at 8 weeks you have a 95% chance of continuing to term. The same can't be said at 6 weeks unfortunately so it is "pointless" having a reassurance scan at this stage apparently. Why can't I have two scans?!

AlpinePony · 22/08/2011 07:08

But I don't think this is "reassurance", this is "is my baybee still alive"?. :( Shock Worra bunch of dicks!

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 07:39

yes they are dicks. They reduce everything to statistics and so on and don't usually give a toss about how anxious people feel. However at least I have blagged an appointment no thanks to the GP who told me to make a booking in appt with the midwife for 8-10 weeks!! I wasn't having that so got straight on the phone to the gynae clinic.

AlpinePony · 22/08/2011 08:39

Are you prepared to abandon your principles, crank up the "ditz" and claim your last period was 12th June? Not perhaps 100% ethical, but gazillions of thickos non-TTC'ers haven't got a clue when their last period was.

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 09:13

Unfortunately the last time I visited the hossie was the first day of my period. Because they needed a CD3-5 LH/FSH test they know perfectly well that I had a period on the 7th July! Nice idea though!

thinking of you today, Kat.

BrownB · 22/08/2011 13:46

Good luck Kat. I hope you get some decent treatment. FYI - I managed to bulldoze my way into a reassurance scan at 5+6 weeks. And a followup one a week later as there was a blood clot in the way and they couldn't see what was going on. Fingers crossed for you.

Ariesgirl · 22/08/2011 15:28

Kay, thinking of you sistah and hoping so much all is well xx

Ariesgirl · 22/08/2011 15:29

KAY? Who the fuck is Kay? KAT.

BarbiesBeaver · 22/08/2011 16:19

For all the TTCers, WOOFLers and diffed-but-in-limbo. Please accept these slightly soiled treats to cheer you up.

Kat I had quite a lot of spotting this pregnancy through weeks 5 - 9. I know it is still fucking scary though.

kat2504 · 22/08/2011 17:22

OMG!!!! I has seen a real live baybee on the screen with a little yolk sac and stuff.
The consultant saw me, found my notes, decided it would be better to go for the clexane option and sent me straight off to ultrasound. Embryo measures 6 weeks and a day (I am 6+4 but that is not significant at this stage) and they detected heart activity, but she said no need to measure heart rate. Then off to the pharmacy, then off to EPU to learn how to do injections.
Its still very early days but at least I know there is a reasonable chance now.
They think I don't need a scan till booking at 11-12 weeks. Ha Ha! I can not reasonably be expected to wait six whole weeks to see if the drugs work. I will be getting a private scan in two weeks time, mark my words.

No dildocamming alas. I didn't know tummycam would work this early. I was expecting a good dildosesh!

Thank you all for crossing all your bodily parts for me. Esh-vibes have done their work.

AlpinePony · 22/08/2011 17:26

:) :) :)

Monday Monday, not so bluesy after all.

Well done Kat and very happy you got good doc!
