The first rule of the BESH fight club is that you don't talk about how easy it was to get updiffed.
The second rule is that you don't talk about the BESH fight club.

There you go. We have a destroyed spa to fight in - we just weren't relaxed enough.

Bring it on bitches.

Hope today passed as easily as possible bugslife thinking of you and sending virtual gin.

My dad saved my mum's life yesterday- sounds extreme doesn't it! Shock She got stung by a wasp and went into ana thingy shock, and he gave her her epi pen. They were totally chilled about the whole thing, til the consultant at hospital started going on about doing the 'right things that saved her'. Yikes. Molette saw the whole thing, and her response to the trauma was to fall asleep for four hours- not sure she's destined for a career in the emergency services Wink

I have been on the Have Droid Will Drink Wine wagon for the last four days- do you think that abstinence for the majority of the month (excluding weddings) (and probably birthdays) and then bottoming out over Aunt Freda's visit is a healthy drinking pattern or not? Would I be better drinking all month regardless do you think? Hmm

MadameBoo · 16/08/2011 17:39

Hello Cunningstunt So glad your Mum is ok. Scary stuff.

My friend's son has the same thing, Smallboo's never been stung by an insect and I have an irrational fear about being stuck in the middle of nowhere and him having that reaction.

I have just done lots of laughing as I nearly wrote something like 'When is your Aunt Freda arriving?'. and then I realised what you were on about. Blush

Bloody hell Mole. glad your mum is ok. Sounds like Molette was not affected at all!

I am a grumpy bitch at the mo.

Hope Lugs is ok.

Hello- sorry i was occupied last night, attempting to organise my chaos for company this am who have now left, appearing not be traumatised by the experience. When I am a grown up will hosting other people for tea and cake become stress free?

I am thinking we just need a jump start to kick off the conversation. I will be needing company over next few days as BBB off to Four Day stag weekend, so am prepared to begin said conversations in order to occupy me in my sad, friendless solitude.

Ideas for discussion:

#1. The riots are a direct result of the decline of religion leaving a generation with no moral compass.

#2. There is no way to eat a healthy, chemical free diet on an average income.

#3. Sunflowers are the best flowers

#4. Super8 is not in fact a film in its own right, being as it is an amalgam of all other films.

5#. Where have I put series 2 of The Wire as I need to lend it to someone and can't find it anywhere?

6#.Mitchell.

Please feel free add your own topics. Am sure I can find something to say about most stuff.

Thanks

Mole

Take THAT Moley! And THAT! HAAAAAAR-YA!

Sorry for the radio silence my dear ones. Will you forgive me? Will you? I have been earning my crust and making hay while the rain falls sun shines.

It's funny you should say that about religion, StarrySky, because I was only expounding this theory the other day. No one listened of course. I am not religious, but the family and community -orientated structure of religion kept people's behaviour in check. But religion has been on the wane in this country for a long time, so it doesn't explain everything. I would venture that it is the curiously nihilistic approach to life which characterises the early 21st century - the all pervading belief in almost nothing except material gain. In the 60s there was the peace movement, in the 70s there was a lot of political activism and in the early 80s too, in the late 80s and early 90s there was the rave culture and alternative crusty scene. Nowadays there is, well, nothing. Kids who care and are interested in anything much are derided and made fun of. There is no passion for anything except buying and getting Stuff. Coupled with the wane of religion and the death of shame, this, my friends, caused the riots and looting we saw last week.

Ariesgirl · 17/08/2011 16:05

And I would shag Mitchell of course. Oh yes. And as for his other incarnation as Rosetti....well....

MadameBoo · 17/08/2011 21:57

I do, but I can't. I am a total mess. I'm so tired my brain won't switch off. I tried to go to bed early but nothing happened. I think I won't sleep till my droid comes. It's on it's way.

bugger I never felt any different except with diffment number one - which I "knew" from about 5DPO - that was a teflon-coated one though. Both subsequent times the only symptom "looking back" was inappropriate crying - e.g., wailing through a very emotional episode of Taggart. Blush I read about 28652 pages about early-pregnancy symptoms though - and each and every one seemed to suggest that early symptoms were pre-menstrual symptoms. Also FYI you dumb-cock-assed websites, a BFP and a missed period are not early symptoms. Early symptoms are things like e.g., a pink stork delivering a massive sparkling egg to your door step 2DPO! And your womble breaking in to tune every time you stand up.
