Morning frolickers :)
Day 13 here, no sign of highs on the cbfm but am starting to feel marginally like ov might be gearing up! I am also feeling incredibly festive today.

Had some lovely. Cuddles with my friends 1 month old last night, he was still only 8lbs and soooooo cute. I was mentally broody when I got home and have subsequently jumped DH this morning Grin

Anyway, have a good day all xx

SantasCave · 09/12/2011 08:16

Morning all.

Yay for snuffly cuddles raspberry!

No news from me, again. Plan is to POAS over the weekend.

Happy Friday everyone!

SantasCave · 10/12/2011 07:18

Really quiet here these days!

Thought I'd let you know I tested this morning and got a BFN. Still no sign of AF so I guess it ain't over till its over and all that.

Have a good weekend all Xmas Smile

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 10/12/2011 07:40

Aww Cave, was really hoping for the other result Xmas Sad. As soon as AF kicks in you'll be off on your successful cycle - a busy New Year's Eve for you m'dear, yes? Xmas Wink

SantasCave · 10/12/2011 07:48

Thanks Late nice to see you over here again Grin. How are things with you these days?

Yes if AF shows up in the next few days D-Day will be around New Years Eve! The ladies at my clinic said that if you get a negative test on Day 42 (next Fruday for me) then I have to call them to get advice. Whether that means a blood test or more tablets I don't know.

Ho hum, this ttc lark is never easy!

Thanks Secret sadly, as of about 15 mins ago, I am now on CD 1 - AF showed up while I was in the shower Angry. She's mocking me! Could have showed up a few hours earlier and saved me wasting a pee stick!

Oh well, Clomid Cycle 2 here I come.

raspberrytipple · 10/12/2011 09:35

Sorry to hear that cave, gutted for you. But on the positive side aren't the odds quite high for women conceiving on cycle 3 or 4 of clomid?

Nothing here, according to Pregnology I'm ovulating on Monday but nothing as yet on cbfm. I do sometimes wonder if I'm using it right, because I have to pee early I usually put the stick in and leave it so of course it does it's reading and times itself out and switches off. Then when I get up I go and get it, take the stick out and turn it on. Wonder whether that means it doesn't give the reading properly?

SweetieTinselandBaubles · 10/12/2011 10:02

Cave so sorry for the BFN and then bloody AF turning up to ruin things. Hope Clomid cycle 2 has the desired result.

I think I ovulated yesterday, am a OPK novice but had faint lines both Wed & Thurs. Is that how it works that the day following the positive OPK is when OV occurs? SWI a couple of time this week and may try for a final go today Xmas Blush. Then it will just be waiting to see what happens - fingers crossed stylie.

Hi Raspberry not sure about those machines, it is all a dark art to me Xmas Confused

freckly12 · 11/12/2011 09:15

So Freckly12- TTC by June 12 xxx

JosieSmith1 · 11/12/2011 11:44

Welcome Freckly, I hope your visit is short and sweet (in a good way Grin)

Just a quick visit from me - DH's dad was in a very bad accident last sunday so we've been at their house almost constantly since then. He's ok physically but not emotionally but the police have said not to say anything so I can't say exactly what's going on just yet. And on friday I got ill with a very nasty stomach bug so it's not been a great week! Feeling a little better but today is the first day I've been able to sit up on my own. Also, AF arrived yesterday so now I definitely have to go for the HSG SadAngry Spoke to my cousin who's also had it (no-one knows though) and she said her DH wasn't allowed in Angry but that it wasn't that bad, a bit crampy and embarrassing but nothing major, so I'm scared but not terrified anymore (till the day comes at least). Fingers crossed I get some answers soon!

Hope you are all well x

raspberrytipple · 11/12/2011 14:56

afternoon all,
Not really sure with OPKs to be honest, I think Ov will happen probably 12-24 hrs of you getting the two lines because the test picks up the surge that comes immediately before Ov? Anyway, sounds like you've done the right thing in covering all bases!

Welcome Freckly very good idea to get everything sorted before you set off on the TTC journey. Hope when you get going to you updiffed very quickly x

Josie im sorry to hear about your father in law that's awful, poor thing :( Hope he and you feel better about it soon. Also hope the HSG goes ok - do you have a date yet? Is that the one I've heard women quite often get pg soon after having? Hope it is as that would be the end of it for you :)

Nothing to report here. Again. Although I did get my first high of the month this morning so we've SWI this morning, Friday morning and Wednesday night so I think we are just going to continue this pattern right through until Christmas. I also weighed myself this morning and have lost 6lbs ! I'm now 10st and getting nicely toned. Had more cutey cuddles last night with another friends 6 month old, he was GORGEOUS, very smiley and squeaky. I'm getting so impatient now, I just want one sooooo badly :(

raspberrytipple · 11/12/2011 14:57

Should have said - OPK bit of my message was to Sweetie

SantasCave · 11/12/2011 15:35

Josie sorry to hear about your FIL, I hope he is better soon. Try not to worry too much about the HSG, it is not the most comfortable procedure in the world but it is not horrific.

JosieSmith1 · 12/12/2011 17:57

Just booked my HSG today - Monday morning. It's 8.30am so should be over and done with early instead of spending the day waiting for it. I'm nervous but also slightly excited. This test could hold all the answers and could be the difference between a natural pg or IVF, either way would be fine with me now! Raspberry I've heard if your tubes are slightly blocked the HSG fluid can sometimes dislodge the small blockage and some people can be more fertile for 3 months afterwards but there's no proof. Worth a try though right

As I am feeling more positive at the moment (just wait till monday) I have decided that we are obviously the strongest women around. I have always been a strong believer that you are only dealt in life what you can handle, therefore we are obviously seen by the universe as the strongest bunch. We are going through this struggle so that the weaker people who couldn't handle it, don't have to. For example, my newly pg friend would have had a complete breakdown if she was where I am now. I have been close, but I have fought through and am determined not to give up, therefore I am going through it so that she doesn't have to.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it Grin

Karstan · 13/12/2011 15:31

Hi everyone, will have to read and catch up later.

Been crazy busy with the new house and general run up to Christmas.

Not been doing anything ttc wise but it's just dawned on me that my period's a couple of days overdue. Not 100% sure mind you seeing as I've not been keeping track.

Of course since this realisation I've attributed a number of symptoms to being pregnant! Vivid dreams, not sleeping properly, wanting to drink black coffee when I normally take milk. Seeing as we're not even trying properly right now I need someone to tell me to stop being so silly and I thought you ladies were just the people Grin

CEDR · 13/12/2011 15:31

Currently not sure if I belong here or not..... I'm a bit unnerved by The Code. I'm 26, been married a few years and decided with my husband to to ttc. Had my last Depo-provera injection end of Aug (been on 18 months) so waiting for any kind of period or cycle to return (sorry, can't call it AF!). Was on the pill for 9 yrs before the Depo so no idea what a normal cycle is for me! We were going to wait before ttc to avoid confusion.... But never mind eh? Officially started on sat. No charts or anything scary yet.......just folic acid and cutting down on the other good things in life!

londonlivvy · 13/12/2011 16:19

Hi everyone,

Good for you on losing weight and sticking to the diet and the SWI raspberry - hope it brings good news on the updiffed front too.

Fingers xd for round 2 cave and sorry to hear re your FIL. sounds awful.

Josie I'd heard too that the HSG can clear stuff. Here's hoping.

OOOH karstan get to boots to buy tests pronto! I can't believe you haven't already gone (or is it just me who's incredibly impatient? :-)

Not much happening for us this month. I was finding the whole SWI every other day a bit stressful and so we decided this month to not plan or look at charts and just see what happens. I will try the ovulation sticks in January I think.

Karstan · 13/12/2011 16:55

Well based on the fact that I'm not keeping track of cycles I'm not 100% sure I'm late, just seems like a while ago. So I'm going to wait until the weekend and will test if no sign then.

londonlivvy · 13/12/2011 18:31

Fair enough karstan. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I've started tracking cycles on Period tracker (an app for your phone) - more subtle than the kitchen calendar!

raspberrytipple · 13/12/2011 20:36

josie glad your feeling positive and good luck for the HSG, do let us know how it all goes.

Welcome CEDR you get used to the lingo quick enough but don't feel obliged to use it if you don't want to!

Good to hear from you Karstan and fingers crossed you are late and a BFP is on its was :)

Thanks london diet is still going good and am feeling positive about it. I know what you mean about the shagging though, it takes all the romance out of it. We are booked in for a session later but I really can't be arsed but know if I don't I'll feel bad that we didn't tomorrow ifyswim. Nightmare

cave how are you feeling now? Has the witch gone?

Well, news from me is that Ive been called back in for a repeat blood test tomorrow because one of my tests was high in an enzyme which sits on a gland on your ovary and can over stimulate it. I'm not sure what impact that has but the doctor wants to see me about it tomorrow. Funnily enough it's one of the things the nutritionist had talked to me about. So will have to see what happens tomorrow. I've been feeling very stressed about it all though to be honest. I just need to be patient don't I?

Pipbin · 17/12/2011 20:14

Hello ladies.
After a short absence I have returned here chat ttc. So, what news? Lots of BFPs I hope.

Beegee757 · 22/12/2011 14:17

Hey ladies, just popped back as I've been wracking my brain as to how I managed to get up the duff against the odds, and just in case it helps anyone else, the following are the only things I changed in my diet/lifestyle:

  • fresh pomegranates (both DH & I had eaten a lot of these in the 6 weeks prior!)
  • I had been taking Boots own brand pre-conveive tablets for c. 1 month prior
  • I had switched from Play lube to Boots Conceive (water-based, much easier for the little swimmers - but bl**dy expensive at £15 per tube!)
  • hadn't taken any ibuprufen / asprin for 6 weeks prior

First appointment with midwife today - so should start to make it feel real! The worst part is watching all the wonderful stilton / brie cheese adverts on the TV at the moment....

Good luck to all - and very Merry Christmas x
