Interesting article Beegee there seems to be a lot around about nutrition/diet and fertility at the moment. Fingers crossed if we all give up coffee and start scoffing multi vitamins instead of chocolate we'll all be updiffed be the end of the month! :)

Glad you've got a date from the hospital Josie I was just wondering how long my appointment might take once the GP refers me. How long did you have to wait from GP to Hospital referral came back?

Have a fab weekend with your mum Dessie !!!

Cupcake fairplay to your DH if you managed every day for the first cycle! Been a long time since we've done it more than 5 times a week :) We have managed it 3 times a day a few times in the last year or so but sadly it's not as frequent as when we were yung'uns. ahh it's great getting old.

No news from me, plodding along and might put my Christmas tree up this weekend Xmas Grin Haven't started with the temping this time around, I forgot Xmas Blush and now I can't seem to remember to do it first thing in the morning. Have got the CBFM working again this month.

Anyway, happy evening everyone!

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2011 17:15

Raspberry it took ours about 4 weeks to get the letter, then theappointment was about a week and a half after that.

Enjoy putting your tree up. With any luck this'll be the last xmas for just the two of us (for everyone on here)

Hi sparkle it depends where you are in your cycle. I usually get creamy white about a week after ov for a few days then it drys up and goes and my period comes on a few days later.

It could just be where you are in your cycle, fingers crossed it is a sign you are updiffed though!

Well, we jumped back on the shag wagon after a month off last nigt and it was rather good. Other than a month of being a lazy bum has taken it's toll on DH so he felt a little guilt as he said I looked super horny with a few lbs lost wearing my festive red/black undies and stockings Blush so he's back to the gym next week. I did have a glass of red last night and half a bar of green & blacks very dark chocolate. Very very naughty but very nice.

Lol certainly was after slacking for a month. Congrats on the high, tomorrow should be fine to get started, it's when the egg appears you need to get to it like rabbits Grin I'm on cycle day 8 so still on low for me although worked out this morning that if I have my usually day 16/17 ov I'll be able to test on Christmas day although that would be a day early :/

raspberrytipple · 04/12/2011 20:15

And meant to say thanks Josie 4 weeks doesn't sound to bad. I'm trying to convince myself I won't be impatient but I will just have to see how it goes

SantasCave · 04/12/2011 21:27

Hello all, lost you again for a while!

We'll be needing a new thread soonish I see.

Not much to report here, AF is due around Thursday, but I've been feeling pretty grouchy today, so I'd say that's a sign she's on her way Sad

It ain't over til the fat lady sings cave hold on in there! Fingers crossed for you.

I'm not sure whether it's brave or stupid, I think probably stupid sparkle. Will see how I feel/when I ovulate I think, might hold off until the new year if AF doesn't get me first

SweetieDoesIt · 06/12/2011 08:42

Just popping in to say "hi" as I have been AWOL birthday trip to Paris for a few days.

Fx for Cave that the evil witch doesn't catch up.

I am with you raspberry this cycle and will could test on Christmas Day, AF due Boxing Day. Will see how the symptom spotting goes in 2ww.

Although signs are I might be having a bit of a strange cycle

Beegee757 · 06/12/2011 13:33

ummm - bit of news - got a BFP! Utterly & totally shocked!

Geniunely did not expect anything to happen this month, was way too ill with flu to 'perform' over the right days - and have done absolutely everything you're not supposed to (gargling with whisky, plenty of asprin / cough mix, hair highlighted, stressed to the eyeballs with work, not sleeping from coughing / stress) - basically exact opposite of all the guidance.

Have been in a complete daze since finding out!!

Massive congrats Beegee [hgrin]

No sign here yet (crossing all fingers and toes). AF due around 8th, so I'm almost there. [tries very hard not to get hopes up]

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2011 17:50

OMG congratulations beegee that's amazing. Hope you have a very uneventful 9 months!!

Had my gp appointment today, was all very quick and gp was good thankfully. Loads of blood taken though :/ and I couldn't have breakfast, was starving by the time I got to work!

Fingers crossed firmly for you cave x

TBlackmore · 07/12/2011 17:58

Hey guys, I've been trying to conceive for two years now and I'd love to join the thread. I'm not sure what all of the abbreviations mean though, sorry to be such a thickie!

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2011 18:05

Welcome tblackmore! Throw the abbrevs at us as you find them and we'll tell you what they are :)

TBlackmore · 08/12/2011 02:58

Thanks raspberryripple, that's really kind of you. I'm also getting a book on conception soon so I shall do my homework on that so I don't have to pester you guys so much. My query for now is what does AF stand for? I know what it's referring to but can't think of the technical term that's being used. It's like another language.

raspberrytipple · 08/12/2011 07:23

AF is aunt flo as in your period, dont know where it comes from though. SWI is shagging with intent, DTD is doing/did the deed! Ummmm there is also SFF shagging for fun although that doesn't happen much around these parts when trying to pg! Cbfm is the clear blue fertility monitor, TMI too much information and that gets used usually when we are having conversations about EWCM which is egg white cervical mucus (not one to tell your DP about!!) which is the stuff you get in abundance just before you ovulate.

SantasCave · 08/12/2011 08:08

Thanks raspberry and welcome to TBlackmore

[whispers] Nothing to report in my world at the moment Wink

Cave fx crossed for the best ever Christmas gift you can get!!

Raspberry glad it all went ok at the Drs. Hope the results of all the blood taken show something up. In a nice fixable way of course.

I got a faint second line on my OPK yesterday so will see if it gets darker today. Been a bit long in the tooth (38) I don't think it will go as dark as on the instructions say. It is only CD11 so this is earlier than expected as I have always had EWCM CD12 -14 in the past, this cycle it turned up CD9. Been SWI just in case Xmas Wink
