Come on ladies - you know who you are Grin.......

Curlylox · 22/06/2011 19:43

Ah Angelgeorgie I squeezed your hand and sorry to hear your news. You're right you know, if it's not the kids it's the animals we're worrying about.

Curlylox · 22/06/2011 19:45

BB erm what is a FR Confused test?

TTTonTour · 22/06/2011 19:51

{{ Lou }} I'm sorry - poor Scottie. At least it sounds like you have done everything you could, and the vet should make him comfortable.

{{ Curly }} hand squeezes for you x

BB That's fantastic news... I had a lot of cramping with this pregnancy, which I dont' remember getting at all when I was pg with C. My friend told me, it's just shows that your body is working to maintain the pg - and somehow that thought about it being positive, not negative shit - seemed to help me cope.

Lou Inside/outside babies.... an inside baby is anything 0 to 42 weeks that's inside (ie. during pregnancy....) and an outside baby is post-birth... I just meant that by the time your baby is 38 weeks, it will be well and truly outside... and this one (if past form means anything), will probably be an inside baby for another 4 weeks (sigh)

waves at the TLFS - doesn't seem that long since we were waiting for your baby news... my pregnancy on the other hand seems to have taken 100s of years Grin

Love to all x

hippychick66 · 22/06/2011 20:15

lou so sorry to hear how sad you are for poor old scottie. My Dad cried when he lost his cat and it was heartbreaking to see. If you're a pet person then they really do become part of the family. Try not to get too stressed lovie.

FR test = first response Grin

TTT - if it's any help your pregnancy hsa gone dead quick for ther rest of us Grin Thinking of you my love and hoping that home birth is soon.

ps. there is an advert for a private birthing suite on our local radio and this annoying woman keeps coming on and saying, "Are you pregnant?" I could murder the bitch!!! Wink

OP posts:
Curlylox · 22/06/2011 20:21

Thanks Hippy. I've heard that radio advert too, silly me of course I would as we both live in Herts. well for the time being anyway. So when do you think I should test, if I know it'll be a bfp (impossible I know) I would test on Sunday - dh birthday.

lolfactor · 22/06/2011 20:41

Curly I think the consensus here is that you test when you simply can't stand the wait any longer? Unless your Diege and you have nerves of steel. Confused Am holding my breath until you do. mmm nnnn mmmm

I'm fed up with that 'Embarrassing Bodies'. Some poor woman who's had an itch-free, odourless discharge for 8 YEARS (!!!) and now has blood in it that she might have thrush. She's already been to the GUM twice and had that ruled out. How unhelpful! Sorry, shouldn't be watching this junk.

Lou what's the latest?

lolfactor · 22/06/2011 20:43

Terrible grammar!!!! You're Diege. Oh well.

AngelGeorgie · 22/06/2011 22:41

Thanks all.no more news however, awaiting a phone call re; scottie's demise,,Sad we re so sad . We ve had both our cats for 11 years since they were 3 months old and yes we knew he wouldn t last more than say 18 years but didn t think after his initial diagnosis 3 months ago he would decline so rapidly particularly as his intial blood tests in March were very good.upon reflection looking at all his signs and symptoms he's been detoriating for the last 3-4 weeks. Ant just reminded me that when
He arrives home in the car Scottie always use to turn up and greet him and even
Jump in the car.. I don t think we would ever have such a loving cat again. Our Cleo is loving on her terms only.

TTT oh I get you with outside/ inside baby. Makes sense now??? !!! Xxx
Thanks curly. for your handholding . When you going to test???

Thanks all for your concern xxx

hopefulgum · 22/06/2011 23:56

Oh Lou, I am sorry to hear about Scottie. It's so sad when our lovely pets are unwell.

Curly - tis true - I got a super faint bfp at 10 dpo on a first response test - but an obvious bfn on the internet cheapie test. Didn't do a digital til I was about 15 dpo I think, or later.

Fingers crossed for you.

Beattie I also had a bit of cramping at the start, which was worrying, but I've heard so often that it is "just the little bean burrowing in". When I saw my doc the other day I told her I had cramping here and there and she said that it is just the uterus adjusting.

Happily I can say I'm feeling worse and worse. More evening nausea and boobs more tender. Some really dramatic gagging on the toothbrush at night which DH finds very amusing.

I've made my scan appointment for the 20th July. It is the day after my DH gets back from a week in Tasmania. I just really, really hope I get to do that scan. I can't wait. I'll have to try and keep busy til then. The only other thing I've got (pregnancy related) til then is the blood tests at 10 weeks. It turns out that last time I had the nuchal screen and bloods done on the same day, which my dr tells me was wrong and so getting a worrying result (1 in 178 of trisomy 13/18) was not surprising. I just can't understand how the health professionals I was dealing with could get it so wrong? I never want to go through the worry we went through again.

TTT, nice to see you. Are you feeling uncomfortable? Hopefully this little one won't keep you waiting too long.

Love to everyone else. XXX

AngelGeorgie · 23/06/2011 07:18

Scottie made it through the night. Temperature coming up, fidegting. Just waiting to spesk to the vet after ward round. Gum glad you re feeling crap xxx
BB some of my tests were faint this time , in fact I went to work to have my HCG levels checked as 1 test was so faint I thought I was having another chemical pregnancy, I never get on with the First Respose I stick with the freebies at work or clear blue digital. Love seeing it in words xxx
Hi everyone xcxx

hippychick66 · 23/06/2011 08:57

curly my little Hertfordshire friend. I really hope that you do get to use the Nutsford Suite and shut that woman up once and for all Grin. As lol says - it doesn't matter when you resolve to test - one morning you'll wake up and in a trance like state you'll find yourself peeing on a stick - we all do !!! Good luck.

lou fingers crossed for scottie XXX

We are off to a little Island that lies south of the mainland tomorrow. Grin 2 Primary s chools to view on Friday and 4 flats to view on Saturday. So I will probably not be on here much until after Tuesday but I will check in and see how everyone is asap.

Love to all (especially the preggo bunch). XXX

ps. lol how many times has your ex popped in already today? Love the image of you in a Hagrid Hut Smile

Diege · 23/06/2011 10:03

Hello! Well a bit of a traumatic 24 hrs as had a sudden gush of watery discharge waiting for train yesterday. Have just rung community mw who passed me over to labout ward, then day unit, so just waiting for a call back from them. Have put a pad on but have had nothing since yesterday, and my gut feeling is that all is fine... Dh on red alert to come home anyway, but had a compulsion to tell you lot! Not to worry you but because you are my bessers GrinSorry for the 'me' post - I've read through but feeling a bit jittery. Agree with Hippy's comments about just finding yourself weeing on a stick, despite making complicated deals with yourself about when you're testing!

Diege · 23/06/2011 10:16

Arghh, have been summoned to labour ward..will update asap. Think it's a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut approach, but need to go I suppose Sad.
Back later!

hippychick66 · 23/06/2011 10:40

diege - I am there with you in spirit, my love. really hope it's nothing to worry about. XXX((()))

TTTonTour · 23/06/2011 14:12

Hope it is nothing to worry about Diege

Fingers and toes all crossed x

AngelGeorgie · 23/06/2011 14:54

Diege. hope alls well xxx
Trauma here too but of the cat variety. Vets rung Ant this a. m and basically said it's not good Scotties bloods particularly his creatinine level were so elevated that kidney failure is inevitable now. All his organs suffering the only thing keeping him going is his heart so we arranged to go in at 2.30 to be there when he was put to sleep, then we got a call saying he was detoriating. We rushed to the vets spent 10 minutes with him then held him while he was put to sleep. He tried to stand when we were there so I m sure he knew we were there. Then back to arranging a cremation and picking a casket!!! Like being transported straight back to post Georgie. I know its different but the actions are the same, miss him so much , the house seems so empty without him and Cleo , our other cat, is looking for him. People at work said he's with our Georgie now I hope so, I 'd told Scottie I needed
Him to meet GIIS but once again someone we love was taken from us way too earlySadSadSad

Italiangreyhound · 23/06/2011 16:16

Angelgeaorgie so sorry, it is very sad. I am sure it was a good thing to make the decision to end his pain and suffering, and he knew you were there. Hugs to you. Pets relly are very important and we just love them, especially if they have been around for a long time. Just relax, try and think that your puss-cat had a good loved life.

Diege I feel hopeful that all is fine now but so sorry you had this terrible scare. I had quiet a bit of bleeding with DH at 15 weeks and all was fine, the blood was coming from the placenta or the neck of the womb, they thought.

Hugs to all

hippychick66 · 23/06/2011 16:32

Just checking in for news from Diege. Hoping all a storm in a tea-cup matey.

TTT should you be flying????

lou So sorry. I do like the idea that Georgie has a pet with her now. Scottie will be there for her and she will be there for him.Sad

DS1 had sex education lesson today. Did not expect to collect him in tears. Was thinking WTF can they have told him?????

Anyway, one of his friends had asked what happens when women lose babies in pregnancy and my poor little sensitive chap had started crying. We haven't talked about the MMC for ages and he doesn't know about the second loss but he obviously still feels sad about the first loss. He also has some questions for me later when the little one is out of the way - oh joy - am looking forward to the questions Hmm...

OP posts:
Diege · 23/06/2011 16:54

I'm back and all is well Had to wait quite a while to be seen, but they did an exam and could see no evidence of fluid, but quite a lot of discharge, so thinking it could be something like thrush that can produce watery stuff...have had a swab anyway, so will get results next week. Saw a really lovely mw (who I've seen once in the past), really interested and caring, and also has 5 herself!. Struggled to hear baby's heartbeat, but felt him kicking etc, so not concerned. Heard it in the end!
Thanks everyone for your support (strangely there was a helicopter leavinbg as I left the hosp Grin).
Hippy oddly my dd1 had the first sex education class today too. I asked her what it was about and she said 'we'll talk about it later'...
Lou you poor thing Sad As you may remember we lost our cat 2 yrs ago - he had gone away to die after orgqan deterioration. It is a massive shock as they are such a part of the familiy. Thinking of you as I do know how heartbreaking it is xx
Love to all, and sorry for not name checking everyone. I have a massive headache and need to go and lie down for a bit. Dh holding the fort!

AngelGeorgie · 23/06/2011 17:40

Great Diege very relieved so glad you re ok ? Could it be BV? This is an alteration in the PH level in the vagina that can lead to an increase in discharge sometimes offensive smelling sometimes not. If so it's easily treated with antibiotiics or Group B strep??? Nice to know there are fellow cat lovers here and I lot understand where I m coming from. I know people who don t have pets think in situations like this I m over the top, 2-3 people at work but sod them!!! We ve had Scottie for 11 years since he was 12 weeks old we got him about 6 months after we got together so he's always been in our life's. Ant is heartbroken now we ve only 1 cat we again we ve never had.

Thanks Italian and Hippy! For your kind wishes xxxxx what a week???? From excitement after thd scan this time last week to the sad SANDS service to despair when he went missing to utter sadness SadSadSad

Diege · 23/06/2011 18:07

Thanks Lou. I also thought BV, but am more of a thrush girl (I think they are opposite sides of the Ph spectrum??) and no smell at all the water. Having said that, I know watery discharge can be a symtom of BV, also strep B I think? Tbh, if I have strep B I'd rather know about it sooner rather than later, though know it can test pos/neg on and off.
Take your time grieving for Scottie. I found some photos of Red a few days ago and couldn't stop crying, so know how it is. Agree, you've had one hell of a 7 days!!!

AngelGeorgie · 23/06/2011 19:42

Thanks Diege xxxxx

hippychick66 · 23/06/2011 20:21

very relieved for you diege. Now go enjoy that rest.

OP posts:
Curlylox · 23/06/2011 21:10

Oh my, so much has gone on today and it's not all good. Angelgeorgie what an emotional rollercoaster you've been through the last 7 days, so sorry to hear that you had to say goodbye to Scottie but it's heartwarming to to know that Georgie will have have his company. I don't mind cats at all it's just that I'm allergic to them which is bizarre as growing up we always had a cat but as I got into my teens I developed an allergy to them, go figure. We've had Lucy (lab) just under a year now and I wouldn't be without her.
Diege what a relief, I'm so happy all is well. You have a good rest and hope that headache disappears.
Hopefulgum looks like you're in good hands with your dr and also am glad you're feeling sick.......iyswim.
BB how is ds2 and dd1?
Hippy enjoy your weekend in the IOW.
Italian how goes it? I love to comment on the programmes you've mentioned as I would normally watch them but just can't keep my eyes open long enough. However I agree with Hippy - turn off one born every minute Grin
TTT can't wait to hear for when fidget arrives.
Lol come on stop teasing us, what's the latest with exdp, how's the dating going and when are you suppose to be going to Florence, it is Florence right?
TFLS congratulations, inspiring news and thank you for sharing.
