Ahhhhh bless angelgeorgie what lovely news.

lolfactor · 16/06/2011 21:44

Delighted to o find you again, to be honest. I'd been watching the count and lazily waiting for curly to be all efficient! Serves me right. So pleased to hear all the baby news! Well done Lou. Can't wait to see the pictures.

TTT Have shown your post to anyone who passes by my desk and after they've stopped crying with laughter they all agree you're spot on! I think That said, Italian that was a lovely story and I hope, deep inside, that it's mine too.

BB I'm sorry to hear about the cramping. And Hippy I'm guessing you're working on gut feeling that's served you well in the past. ((())). It's SHIT. No two ways about it. I'm still feeling inspired by Spotty and Sunshine, though, and determined to think positive for everyone. I love you all. All of you. Yes, I HAVE had a glass of Shiraz...hic?

Italiangreyhound · 16/06/2011 22:02

AngelGeorgie wow, wonderful news. So pleased. All well. Big hugs.

Lol I hope so. Whatever happens, you can only choose what is within your control. Hugs to you hon.

Hey everyone, too much ironing is calling me so
If you are sympton spotting - stop it!
If you are incubating a bubba -hugs and peace and no sickness
If you are two week waiting baby dust - stop nail biting and just get distracted
If you are trying, baby dust to you.

HUGS

Curlylox · 16/06/2011 22:04

Oooh Lol I'll join you with pinot grigio.....2nd glass here check me out Grin

Italiangreyhound · 16/06/2011 22:11

OH PS
Does anyone else think the new Adios (Strut your funky stuff advert) is crap! Wink

Anyone else watch the Apprentice and think the lads mag cover was crap?

shandybass · 16/06/2011 22:15

Hiha GILS. Such lovely news angel. I'm so excited for you and the other pregnant ladies.

I'm watching One Born every minute USA. It's really interesting, it seems quite a bit medicalized than over here with 90% of women opting for epidural and the ones going for a natural no medication birth being the self confessed 'hippy' types.

By the way are you a but of a hippy hippy. I am a bit wish I was more but I seem to have gone more mainstream with dh.

Thank you hippy and diege for your comments about my earlier post. I am sorry to be negative even though there is no real need. I am just so sensitive at the moment. The GP said to me when I was asking for help and advice for conceiving 'did I have a cut off point' and 'how many children do I have?' nothing really wrong with that but it just felt foreboding and as if there was a sub text, your 40 almost 41, you have 2 healthy children you should be happy with that, which of course is the voice in my head!!

hopefulgum · 17/06/2011 00:13

Oh, Lou, I'm so happy to hear you are having a little girl. And so pleased that all is well. Now you will be thinking of names I suppose?

I haven't thought too much about names or the sex of this one(just want to make it to 12 weeks first), but the Dr said she had a feeling this one would be a girl. I don't know if she's any good at guessing, but I've always felt my last would be a girl - however I've been wrong many times before! I was sure Charlie was a girl, and he certainly isn't.

Deige, I'm looking forward to hearing your news too. Do you have a "gut feeling" about the sex of this one?

Hippy - that hunger pain feeling you are describing - that sounds promising to me. I know you don't want to get too hopeful, but I will be hopeful for you. At 11 DPO you could do a test....but I know you want to wait. Can't help myself, sorry!Hmm

Beattie, I'm sorry to hear you think it is over. But you know your body better than anybody else.((hugs))

I've got a girl's overnighter on Saturday - for our knitting club - I know, I know, it sounds so OLD lady, but it's a great excuse to have some down time with some lovely women. I'm looking forward to it.

I'll pop in before I leave tomorrow, just in case Hippy loses her mind and tests early....Grin

hopefulgum · 17/06/2011 00:26

P.S. Missed your post Shandy because I didn't see a 2nd page !(dopey emoticon)

Shandy, you are still young enough. I know it is harder in our forties, but it is possible. I think we just have to give it a good try, IYKWIM, giving it our best shot, and continuing to try month after month. Which I know is hard, but I think mostly we can have a baby in our early 40's. There's nothing wrong with you wanting another baby, even if you do have two lovely children.

I guess we all know our own limits.

I was nearly 41 when Charlie was born, despite hearing over and over again that conceiving would be near impossible. It took 7 months of ttc with charting, temping, supplements, acupuncture and opks and a fertility monitor. In my 20's and 30's DH and I just had to say "let's have a baby" and first try would work!

I was too scared to have any testing done to see what my ovarian reserve etc was because I didn't want to hear anything negative. I guess I just tried to be hopeful and a bit naive.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is don't give up - it is possible, but what you are feeling is totally understandable.((HUGS))

hippychick66 · 17/06/2011 09:03

gum yes Hippy did lose her mind and test this morning. My temp was still really high so i decided to do it. BFN - no hint of a second line - whiter than white !!!

I know that it could just be too early, I think I'm 11 or 12 days post ov - but you'd expect something if I was preggo - so ho hum no exciting news here.

Gotta get on, buyers are coming tonight.

a sleep-over for the knitting club - my goodness the wild things they do in Oz Shock

BeattieBow · 17/06/2011 10:52

hi all lou fantastic news - really excited for you!

hippy yes it is early! Remember high temps (which I don't have anymore) are really good news. so re-test obsessively every day on Sunday and you might get a positive!

Diege · 17/06/2011 13:52

Hello! Hippy don't give up hope just yet. As BB says the high temps are very encouraging, and even on the early tests only 25% or so of women would get a bfp at 11 dpo.

TTTonTour · 17/06/2011 13:55

All night knitting parties - the mind boggles! Grin

So pleased with your news Lou

Hippy too early to lose heart - fingers x for Sat

Diege yeah - Sarah Buckley aggravates the hell out of me too... smug cow Grin I wrote a blog about her last month, and really upset a couple of folks who are fans... I do get what she's saying about birth being a normal event - but when you are worried in a high risk group, or you've had a bad, bad experience, like Lou and I, I think you feel differently about testing. Helicopter it is for Monday then?

BB sorry you feel you're out for this month...

LOL at least it's given you a laugh... am always struck how Italian is this lovely optimistic person, and I'm a sour bitter old cow... if only you coudl roll us both together!

Was having a bit of a crap week - it should have been Catherine's 5th b'day on Thurs - but seem to have come out the other side, and feel much calmer and more positive since last night.

Had some brill news - my strep b test came back neg, so I don't need anti-biotics during the labour... so we are ready to go for my (calm, peaceful, safe and pain-free Hmm ) home birth... Midwife turned up with the kit yesterday, so just need to decide where to put the pool..

AngelGeorgie · 17/06/2011 13:56

Thanks all. Awaiting further good news from; hippy, Diege and anyone else!!!!!
Gum enjoy your knitting night!!! Suddenly knitting takes on a whole new meaning!!! When is your next scan?
Hi BB hope things pick up for you very soon.Italian thanks x hi Lol keep on with the dating sounds fun , well for us observers!!! Hi shandy hope you re recovering. Hi Tina hugs x. Hi curly

Hope everyone's well? We re going to the SANDS memorial service tomorrow.it's held annually at the aborteum in Stafford you can buy a stone which you etch a message on and plant it in their garden then there's the memorial service. So all in all a very mixed week.
Enjoy your weekend everyone xxxWink

AngelGeorgie · 17/06/2011 14:09

Hi TTT sorry you ve had a bad week. Like you , I too, have often found the run up to anniversaries is sometimes worse than the actual day.Glad you re step B test was negative my last 2 have been positive I m seeing my consultant on Monday and I m going to be requesting IV antibiotics during my section. I ve conducted some research and most of it states as long as you re having a planned section the risk of transferring strep B is negilble but as you state if you ve been through what we have I m not prepared to leave anything to chance or take the slightest risk. Have you got a date for induction?

Happy birthday C xxx
Many hugs, and lots of love xxxx for the good and bad times xxxxx

TinaO99 · 17/06/2011 14:15

congrats lou :-) so pleased for you and good luck for your scan diege

hippy here's hoping for good news for you!

hippychick66 · 17/06/2011 14:31

TTT sorry to hear it's been a hard time for you. So your little-un will have a birthdate close to your eldest girl just like lou - strange how these things work out.

I cannot imagine the pain of your childs 5th birthday going by and not having them there - it is making me feel sick just typing it - so my thoughts and hugs go to you today. Glad you are feeling a bit better now though and excellent news about the strep B. XXX(())

My DS1 is on his way back from the school trip, haven't seen him or spoken to him since Monday am. I am welling up at the thought of seeing him again and am A) convinced AF is on her way as I am soooo emotional today and B) Worried I will blub in front of his friends and he will kill me Grin

OP posts:
Diege · 17/06/2011 15:17

I can't imagine how hard these past few days have been for you TTT and LOU Sad Thinking of you both x
Glad TTT that your test came back neg - one less thing to worry about. I do agree too about risk and people such as Sarah Buckley. While in a different league to you and Lou, I went down the natural route with dc4, doula and all, and ended up close to a ruptured uterus with doula telling me that in 99% of the time women 'don't produce babies that are too big to birth - I was in the 1% (well, actually I think the percentage is far higher).
Hippy it's lovely when you see dcs again after school trips - and then it wears off after 30m mins and you start shouting at them for leaving their trainers under the camp bunk bed Wink. Still hopeful for you xx

hippychick66 · 17/06/2011 16:50

My son looked so handsome - god I'd forgotten how he was the best looking boy in the school year Wink He had a lovely colour in his cheeks and I very nearly embarrased him by blubbing.

Still no spotting and boobs feel odd but without that second line I am feeling very dispondent.

Wont test again now until Monday (if no AF of course). Will report back.

OP posts:
Diege · 17/06/2011 18:13

Bistro open!!! I'll be having veggie sausages with onion grancy and creamy mash, followed by B&J frozen yog (phish food)
Hippy your ds does indeed sound gorgeous Grin. re: af, again no spotting sounds pos as I know you usually do on the days leading up. Do you know what possible effects clomid might have on temps ect? (I'll do some googling for you Wink).

hippychick66 · 17/06/2011 20:18

diege well remembered I do usually start with spotting. However there was a cycle a couple of months ago where I got to day 28 and then AF just arrived with no pre-warning - so anything could happen. Confused

You are sweet to go googling for me Grin

I could like duck pancakes please with a large glass of rose. (you know that should read rose- a, I just don't have the accent on this keyboard!)

lol are you screen dating tonight?????

OP posts:
lolfactor · 17/06/2011 21:21

Yes, 'fraid so. Why do they ALL sound like Mr Bean? Even the good looking ones.

Exdp hanging round on the fringe; he's terrified I'm going to meet someone lovely. I keep pretending I have. But all I'm doing is talking to men who say 'Helloooo' (Mr Bean voice) and tell me about how they hate tattoos. I don't have a bloody tattoo. I don't intend to get one. Why say it? AAARRHHH

I'm CD12 and firing out pheromones and NO-ONE'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THIS EGG! Right. Sorry, everyone. You've got proper issues to think about. As you were...Grin

lolfactor · 17/06/2011 21:22

Double helping of phish food please Diege x

hippychick66 · 17/06/2011 22:08

lol - you are sooo funny. Your ex is obviously shitting himself and so he should be, sweetie Grin

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 19/06/2011 15:03

no clomid hippy baby this month ladies. Sorry it's not better news. Sad

Quick question - we are moving in 5 weeks and the next few weeks are gonna be very hectic. I only have 2 months worth of clomid left (my GP was only prepared to give 3 months without a cons). So the question is would you wait a month and then try the clomid for the cycle after just incase we are too busy and stressed to properly try in the next 2 weeks? Or do you think it's better to take the 3 months worth consecutively??

OP posts:
BeattieBow · 19/06/2011 15:09

I didn't do the 3 months consecutively - not sure how that helps though!

So sorry it wasn't the month for you hippy Sad
