Come on ladies - you know who you are Grin.......

OP posts:
hopefulgum · 21/06/2011 07:48

Oh YesBeattie!!! Congratulations! My you have a happy and uneventful 9 months!

I'm so happy for you.

Just popped in to see if there was anything going on - glad I did.

I really need to go for a walk, I've been way too lazy lately.

Will check in again later.

AngelGeorgie · 21/06/2011 08:20

Yeh fabulous news BB excellent. Remember my mantra; for today you are pregnant or whatever crap helps you get through!!! Congrats Grin
Gum great you ve got a plan in place your medical team sound very organised. How many weeks are you now?
9 ish???
Right, back to bed after the most broken sleep ever due to cats and snoring husbands!!!( only mine !!! There wasn t
Any more than 1) !!!! X

randomimposter · 21/06/2011 09:57

sorry - have been AWOL for ages, and have no hope of catching up on everything... but popped on to see how diege and gum were doing (knew lou's news from FB). Delighted all well.

And BB you are so proving the theory about having SO much going on and look what else happens!!! Hope all sticky and well.

Been mad busy with DS stuff, and packing up to move house later this week, which is very problematical as the new house has a lot of work left to do, and only about 50% of the house will be available to use for a while (and it's no mansion to start with!!).

Have started taking DHEA, am on CD14, have had acu this month, and am hoping to further prove BB's "getbusytogetdufferoo" thesis...

Wave to all (special squeeze for my darling hippy) - will try to keep in touch more x

spottysox · 21/06/2011 11:26

Hello ladies, congrats to BB fantastic news
Diege glad all was well at your scan, and brother for your DS (and DD's) perfect
Lou glad your scan went well too, your consultant sounds very good getting everything arranged and set out to help ease your worry just a little. A little girl for you as well Lovely
Hippy sorry your first clomid month didn't end in a bfp but once you're relaxing on the IOW with all the stress of moving behind you , sounds like a plan
LOL you go girl, he wants you bad but he won't admit it, don't make it easy for him though will you. Wink
As for me 16 weeks and feeling a few flutterings. By the way for those who wanted to know we've been ttc since dec 09 3 MC possibly 2 chemicals then Bingo. Been taking pregnacare conception + extra folic acid, using CBFM and temping had just paid for a years sub to fertility friend and bought 50 ov sticks, 100 pg tests and 3 month supply of CBFM sticks all sitting in my wardrobe too scared to temp fate and get rid.

spottysox · 21/06/2011 11:31

oops posted to soon
Gum glad alls going well, you sound like you have a really good healthcare system in Aus.

Diege and Gum have you or when will you be telling your other dc? I'm sure mine have guessed but I keep putting it off.
Hi to all I've missed

Take care Spotty

AngelGeorgie · 21/06/2011 11:37

Hi Spotty glad alls well with you. 16 weeks already hope it's flying by!!! X
Jolls lovely to hear from you. You sound mad busy moving is a nightmare Isn t it??? Who knows where all the stuff comes from??? We seem to acquire crap from everywhere...Ant got a new BBQ recently , no room for it on in the shed and all I could think was that's something else to move when we do!!!! You sound well, if not a bit busy!!! Take care xxx

Diege · 21/06/2011 12:58

BB many congratulations!!! I knew it, esp with the high temps Grin and thought it would just be a matter of time what with all your fancy scans and everything Wink. Really pleased for you x
Gum sounds like you're being looked after really well. Try not to worry too much about getting to 12 weeks; things sound positive in relation to the last pregnancy and everything is looking as it should.
Lou sounds like your consultant apppt went really well - again, you are getting great care, as you should of course. Weekend sounded tough, but very poignant too x
Italian family composition is 3 dds (9, 8, 5) and one ds (2). Def done after this one!
lol, oh yes that is me in the pics, looking 25 if not younger Grin. It was taken this time last year, but I have always been cursed (blessed?) by a baby face and was actually asked for ID when buying a bottle of wine in M&S last year (I could have hugged the woman). People usually put me at early 30s, so long may it last Wink. Inside I feel about 100 at times though!
I am also liking the way your ex is crawling his way back into your affections. I know Italian is probably correct in her kindly assessment, but I still think a sharp kick in the gonads is still appropriate...
spotty good to hear from you! I think I told dcs when I'd had my 12 week scan, as my tummy was pretty porky by then and they were asking questions...
Curly do you have news?...
Hippy how are things? I think that's a good idea about skipping a month of the clomid, plus the effects may linger into next month anyway? That's a very impressive cycle you have there; surely it's just a matter of time?
TTT good to hear from you and very excited for you x
Thanks everyone for the good wishes and congrats on scan news. Oddly the baby (I'm liking the name 'Dylan', dh not keen...) has a very large head and under average leg length (though everything still within 'normal' limits), not that you'd guess from the piccy...
Love to all x

lolfactor · 21/06/2011 19:04

Dashing in to shout, 'Fantastic news, BB!!!' (Every time one of us beats the odds I could cry with delight, frankly.) And, dashing out again - should be at the gym!

Curlylox · 21/06/2011 20:00

Woohoo bb great news. Am dashing in like Lol as need an early night. Promise to post in a couple of days when am not at work but in the meantime hugs and babydust to all x x

thefatladyscreams · 21/06/2011 21:46

So very badly out of date but trying to catch up with how everyone is doing. For those who don?t know me I had DS (my first child) a couple of weeks short of my 42 birthday. He?s now 8.5 months.

Louise ? I do lurk from time to time just to check that all is well with you. Georgie is going to have a little sister- so exciting. Hope all is well with you and your DP.

Gum ? delighted to hear your news.

Hippy ? you can?t move house. I live not far from your old place and always harboured a fantasy of meeting up with you! [Hippy sighs with relief at moving away from mad TFLS]

Jolls ? how are you my dear? Sorry for not being in touch but think of you with every glass of Sauvingnon Blanc!

BB, Diege and Spotty ? wow , great news. Congrats to you all. Every day is another one closer.

Italian ? hi, hope things work out for you very soon.

Tank ? exciting couple of weeks ahead ? hope all goes well and you get the beautiful home birth you deserve.

I was thinking about this post as I drove down a certain road where I remember bursting into floods of tears at 11 weeks pregnant when I started spotting and was convinced it was all over. Thank God it wasn?t and DS was born last year. But it reminded me of all the support I got here and the incredible rollercoaster involved ? just wanted to share that with all those going through the jitters.

I?m sure I?ve left people out but very badly sleep deprived at the moment so apologies!

Love to all, TFLS.

BeattieBow · 22/06/2011 08:52

hello all and thanks for all the congrats! I am of course sh*tting myself with every cramp and every loo visit, but am trying to be fatalistic about everything.

spotty My amazon order arrived yesterday - it has 2 books on how to improve your fertility, some cbfm sticks, some digital ovulation tests and 2 lots of pre-seed! I don't dare send it back though because that would be tempting fate too much

tfls I remember you - I think you were at the early stages of pregnancy when I appeared on this thread after my mc in Feb 10. I'm so glad everything worked out for you.

I now have 3 places in the same school in L - spent yesterday rushing between schools there, but am very pleased. It is my second choice of school and a very good one. I'm not sure whether to remain on the list for the first choice or not. Hopefully we'll be moving ihan the weekend of 2nd July and possibly starting school that week.

jolls I was reading about dhea - I think that was/is going to be my next thing. I haven't gone back to E though - I needed to rein in the spending a bit. I actually think it is the progesterone that has helped me the most. I hadn't understood that this also declines when you get older. I know that E says that everyone should take it. But who knows?

Am at home today with ds2 (scarlet fever) and dd1 (sore throat, suspected first step of scarlet fever).

AngelGeorgie · 22/06/2011 09:28

Again huge congrats BB xxx
Hi TFLS lovely to hear from you sounds like all is well with you. Glad you re doing ok? XxxSmile
Worried here as 1 of our cats had been missing now since Monday. It's not unusual for Scottie to go AWOL for 24-48 hours he's done it before but what's worrying me is he has been unwell lately and I m
Hoping he hasn t gone away to die. He's not long been diagnosed with renal failure , but was ok with that but then developed a dental access last week so was lethargic , off his food , weak etc... We managed to get some antibiotics down him but not many. We went out checking his local haunts last night but nothing going to ring our vets to check. So hope he's okay he s such a loving cat I just want him home. If it's not kids it's animals!!!!

Italiangreyhound · 22/06/2011 09:40

BB Huge congratulations.

TFLS I remember you, you were on here when I first started reading and then writing (I stalked for about 2-3 months before I got brave enough to post! That's 2-3 not 23!).

Spotty keep going and all the best, is this number one or not? Sorry Confused am not keeping up.

Tank hugs.

Hippy hang on in there. Chin up. Wink

Gum thanks for thinking of me.

lol if I hear of a wedding and don't get an invite I will CRY! Seriously, hugs! Wink - I feel like I know you now I've seen you on TV!

Well, no news for me. So just plodding on.

Hugs to all.

Italiangreyhound · 22/06/2011 09:52

Anyone watching The Apprentice? I want Tom to win! Go Tom Go Tom. Who do you think will win? I reckon Susie, Tom or Helen. There is no clear winner. Zoe could claw her way back but I doubt it. I think Jim's days are very much numbered! The only wild card (as far as I am concerned, is Leon, he reminds me of the posh guy who won a few years back (Simon)

No idea when we will get a donor. It is voluntary for people who are altruistic, kind people or maybe an egg sharer who is also having treatment. Not sure but I am almost giving up hope! I keep watching One born every minute and taunting myself!

Curlylox · 22/06/2011 14:37

Apologies in advance for the me me me post, will - as promised yesterday - catch up with all from tomorrow when I'm not at work. I'm 9 dpo, tender Biscuit Biscuit, tired but can put that down to something else although am sleeping better meaning a deeper sleep if that makes any sense, think I may have had an implantation dip in my temps at 5 dpo, temp high gain today and lastly feel like af is coming - so when shall I test? A part of me doesn?t want to as finding it harder and harder to deal with a bfn, would someone please hold my hand?

AngelGeorgie · 22/06/2011 15:59

Curly. I m holding your hand whilst you hold mine off to the vets with our very I'll cat. Someone rung me earlier to say they had found him but his back legs are really deliberated ??? If he's been run over so just off to the vets. Much hand holding needed xxx

hippychick66 · 22/06/2011 16:04

Just nipped on to say congrats to BB Grin hang in there kid.

lou all the best at the vets - i hope it isn't bad news.

curly holding your hand, lovie. Try to wait a couple of days before you test, honey. At this stage a BFN could mean not pregnant or too early to tell so really not worth the anxiety!!

jolls good to see you back on here. I really hope the old saying 'new home - new baby' applies to us both (and of course that posh bird panashe - the one with the new hot tub!)

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 22/06/2011 16:04

ps. italian switch off 'one born every friggin' minute' - that way madness lies! Grin

OP posts:
Italiangreyhound · 22/06/2011 16:46

Angelgeorgie hugs and hand holding to you.

shandybass · 22/06/2011 17:27

I just did a long message and it's gone, possibly on someone else's thread!

Massivvooo congrats to you Bb you introduced me to this thread and it's been ever so supportive and funny so a special thanks and congrats.

Tell us all your theories about how it worked this time. Progestone being no 1? So how do I get it, is it for everyone of us?

Love to everyone else

BeattieBow · 22/06/2011 17:58

well I've got a new home too hippy although I've not moved into it yet!

I'm v worried actually - loads of cramping, which I am obsessing about. But I know there's not much I can do (apart from go to the loo 10 times an hour to check!).

shandy could have been anything this month - I did clomid, grapefruit juice, temping, CBFM (although that didn't show a peak) progesterone. i didn't do the SMEP (dtd alternate days I think, although that was more accidental than anything).

curly everything crossed for you. I tested on 13dpo with the FR and then 15dpo with the digital horrible one. (and in between with a tesco or sainsbury's one). I think Gum got a bfp on 10dpo.

Lou thinking of you with your cat. Hope it's not as bad as you think. I have 2 elderly cats and one is on her way out - it's very sad to watch, she isn't washing anymore.

BeattieBow · 22/06/2011 17:59

oh and I just asked my dr for some progesterone (it's called Cylogest - I got 400mg). He gave it to me and appeared never to have even heard of it beforel. My (and jolls) acupuncturist told me about it ages ago, but I hadn't really taken it seriously.

BeattieBow · 22/06/2011 17:59

sorry it's called cyclogest

hippychick66 · 22/06/2011 19:00

ahh yes of course BB that's what you did right - new home new baby Wink Try not to stress about the cramps, as you know they can mean either good or bad news and it's a nightmare trying to figure out which it is Confused.

AngelGeorgie · 22/06/2011 19:34

Not good here went to our vets ; very dehydrated , breathing very laboured. Admitted to another vets , bloods re- checked, IV fluids commenced. However on the way between vets poor Scottie went freezing his respirations were very laboured and I thought he had died, we rushed him in and got him on oxygen straight away. Vet has since rung us his blood results are very poor looks like a very rapid increase in his renal failure and even if he makes it through the night we may still have to decide what we do next. SadSad poor, poor Scottie he's such a loving fussy cat.'

Thanks all for your kind wishes xxxx
