OP posts:
havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 20:27

:) oh dear my mood is all over the shop too! (I laughed at the joke!)

maybebabyR · 05/07/2011 20:44

We are both clearly pregnant then. Thats the only possible solution Smile

havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 20:45

Yup, definitely pregnant!!

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 05/07/2011 21:05

Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! I am trying to remain calm. Getting quite a lot of sharp twinges. they only last a moment so fingers crossed it is just implantation.

Enjoy your holiday farfalla! :)

I remember I got my card through on the day I stopped bleeding from my mc, I also got a letter from the doctor the same day saying that since I wasn't pregnant anymore I should have a smear test. It was most upsetting! I threw them both in the bin. Bah humbug and all that Hmm

TigerseyeMum · 05/07/2011 22:50

Yay for hiding Grin

I am supposed to be SWIing. But, I just got home from a 12 hour shift. I have offered to lie still and sleep whilst he gets on with it. He looked interested.

Hmm
PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 07:31

Oh damn. 9DPO and temperature has gone down and I have cramps. If AF is on her way, that means my luteal phase has gone back down to 8 days. Fuckity arse biscuits. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe could be an implantation dip but I have previously got my hopes up re that before and then been crushed when it's just been my stupidly short luteal phase.

Did you managed to persude your DH. Tigerseye? How are you feeling today, Hiding?

maybebabyR · 06/07/2011 09:50

Pale Hopefully it is implantation. Keep those spirits up!

Tigers I have tried that one too. They just can't help themselves sometimes can they?! Smile

thelittlefriend · 06/07/2011 13:07

pale out of interest, how long is your cycle overall if your luteal phase is 8 days? My cycles seem to be getting shorter, does this mean the luteal phase definitely is too? thanks

Not much to report here. Though I have just taken my second evening primrose oil capsule, to turn my CM in to the kind of environment sperm just LOVE.

thelittlefriend · 06/07/2011 13:08

Just realised I asked you a question as if you were my doctor pale! I don't expect you to know if my luteal phase is short, don't worry!! Just wondering if you know if a short cycle = short luteal phase in general. ta

PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 13:30

little - your LP is meant to be about the same length each cycle (to within a few days), so it probably isn't shortening even if your cycles are. I am a bit of a medical anomoly on this point, though, as my LP is variable, so you never know! As far as I know, a short cycle doesn't mean your LP is also short. If you have variable cycles, it tends to be the follicular stage (between the end of your period and ovulation that varies in length. You could try charting (if you don't already) to see how long your LP is? o you use OPKs or the Shag Dictator so you have some idea of when you ovulate?

Still no AF, will be so blimmin' depressed if I get it today, though. It wouldn't so much be the not being pregnant (although that would be obviously also be teh suck) as the fact that despite shovelling down vitamin B6 like its going out of fashion, all-but giving up booze and subjecting myself to acupuncture, my luteal phase would have gone back down to 8 days when I'd managed to eke it out to 10 days last cycle.

PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 13:31

"o" = "Do".

PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 13:32

Oooops! The above was not very in keeping with the spirit of the thread, was it? Sorry! Obviously I am pregnant, my temperature just doesn't it yet!

thelittlefriend · 06/07/2011 13:47

Thanks for that info pale. I have thought about charting, but have heard that you need to have uninterrupted sleep (which I don't have) for the temp to be relevant. OPK's never seem to give me a positive, so I'm not really sure when I ovulate. Am thinking of investing in a CBFM at some point. Obviously don't need it though because, all together now, I AM PREGNANT!!

mememummy · 06/07/2011 14:43

Soo I just got back from GP re no period for 6 weeks... He told me not to worry it will come back and if I have any problems to come back next may!!!! Still drinking the tea taking pills etc will just wait and see. Pissed on the wrong end of opk this am... Must have been really tired swi obviously no Af is cuz I am already very pregnant!!! Lol xx

Jebel · 06/07/2011 15:00

meme maybe he knows you are pg and will be back next may with a liitle bambino...

pale I have been taking duphaston. It is a progesterone (dydrogesterone) pill that I take for 10 days starting on the third day after my smiley opk. It forces a 14 day luteal phase as mine is a little short. Period is so heavy after. Obviously no af will come this month as am updiffed. Am sure af isn't coming as you too are pg. I have heard others mention Angus castus if you can't get anything via doc.

NinjaChipmunk · 06/07/2011 16:03

hello, I tried to join your lovely thread the other week but then only managed one post, can I rejoin? I've had 14 months of practice for number 2 and I'm totally ready to be pregnant this month.

PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 16:45

Thanks, Jebel. Did you have low progesterone levels which were causing your short luteal phase? My progesterone levels are apparently normal so I'm not sure if more progesterone would correct it or not. I'm seeing a specialist at the start of August (although, obviously, I won't need to as I'll be pregnant by then!) so hopefully he will be able to shed light on it. I'm a bit scared of Agnus Castus as I've heard bad stories about it making cycles worse as well as good ones.

Still no AF, despite having been to the loo 76,587 times (approximately) to check.

Welcome back, Ninja.

NinjaChipmunk · 06/07/2011 16:52

thank you pale, I'm loving all the positivity on this thread.

Jebel · 06/07/2011 18:11

Welcome back ninja

pale - no don't have low progesterone levels and endometrium looked a good thickness without progesterone so she stopped me on it but immediately had a short cycle again whereas with it do 14 days.

Right 11 dpo tomorrow. Am contemplating an early test, my guilty little secret that I share with all of you

PaleHandsILoved · 06/07/2011 18:25

Thanks, Jebel. Will discuss that with the specialist. 11 DPO POAS would represent remarkable restraint with me, I start with the internet cheapies at about 8DPO Blush.

havealittlefaithbaby · 06/07/2011 19:25

I am having stabbing pains in my boob. Obviously pregnant!
No tests in the house! Very unlike me...going away Saturday no time to get internet cheapies. Will have to buy a Tesco or boots two pack cos I'm due at the end of my holiday!

TigerseyeMum · 06/07/2011 19:31

Hellooooooooooooo.

Well, we made the effort, I stayed awake long enough for a perfunctory SWI. No bells and whistles though, just practical. Then I rolled over and went to sleep. Nice.

I have been feeling sick and dizzy all day. Must be pregnant.

Having my thyroid tested tomorrow, as last time it had changed but the GP did not think it warranted a change in dose. The new GP I saw 2 days ago was a bit Hmm and wants it rechecked. Not that I may have wasted the last 6 months with the wrong thyroxine levels or anything.

mememummy · 06/07/2011 21:46

thanks :D i most obviously will be sat at the GP's waiting for the snotty health visitor to weigh my new born bambino.... bliss :)

i have a new and unopened shag dictator sat on my bed side cabinet... cant wait to sell it :D

ladies could we do a graduates list? just to show how amazing this 'fred is

xxx

havealittlefaithbaby · 06/07/2011 21:48

Oh yeah brilliant plan. I'll be joining the new thread in 12 days :)

NinjaChipmunk · 06/07/2011 21:49

as a newbie to the thread I would be most interested to see how many bfp's this positive thinking lark has brought about.
