Who's in?

OP posts:
TigerseyeMum · 04/07/2011 19:31

Good effort have, most impressive, And enjoy Somerset, I love it down there (and of course, it is very fertile, on account of manure and such like).

havealittlefaithbaby · 04/07/2011 19:46

We went last year to the same place last year, it was so awesome we're going back with my Dsis, bil and nephew! We'll be in a tent so any swi will have to be rather subtle (Nb my family won't be in the tent, they'll be in a camper next door! We're not that tacky!).

Jebel · 04/07/2011 19:51

pale am not sure, maybe I will test on weds as managed to sneak a few tests into the trolley. Couldn't find them anywhere after we got home. Eventually found them in the fridge. Not sure if DH was hiding them from me or has just gone a little bit mad!

Still on hols, have a better tan now than I've had from 5 years in mid east!

have enjoy the hols, Somerset is so lovely.

TigerseyeMum · 04/07/2011 20:16

Ooh, if it's a good campsite have please let me know, we take the van down to Somerset when we can to visit family.

havealittlefaithbaby · 04/07/2011 20:27

It's unity farm at Brean tigers. It's got a leisure park on site (small rides but still!), excellent clubs on site, right by the beach, massive play area, costco on site, chippy and takeaway. Got indoor brand new pool, outside water splash 3 slides, adult jacuzzi! Bathroom blocks brand new. On site wardens were fab last year. And not expensive. Only 4 miles from Burnham on sea. Have I sold it to you yet...?!
see for yourself!!

TigerseyeMum · 04/07/2011 20:44

Ah yes, lots of people rave about that one. Have been to Brean many a time on family daytrips but my OH hates Brean with a passion (says it tips him over the edge) so we can never stay there Grin

Is the jacuzzi etc included in costs? Cos that I would be interested in...

mememummy · 05/07/2011 01:37

ladies if ther is sperm coming out of your ears i believe your DH is popping it into the incorrect hole....

what angus cactus for?

havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 06:35

Tbh we didn't go into Brean itself that much last year! Went in the beach, cycled to the down, to Burnham, went to Weston. You get one swim session a day at a subsidised rate for being a camper including use of the jacuzzi.
No I'm pretty sure sperm shouldn't come out you ears!
Agnus *castus

havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 06:36

castus is meant to lengthen a short luteal phase I believe. I've heard varying reports on its effect on fertility.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 05/07/2011 09:16

Ah, meme maybe that would explain my lack of baby :o

Welcome back Bloofer and have! It is always a pleasure and a joy to see you :)

Now, my boobs are hurting like hell and I have only gone a broken my ban on buying piss sticks before I am actually late. i have managed to keep this ban since my mc but I figured that as I am so obviously pregnant I wasn't going to have to suffer the horror of a bfn anyway so might as well get some in.

Tomorrow I shall surely be confirming my obvious updiffedness. Providing I can now resist the lure of the shiney sticks for the whole day! aaarrgghh... the temptations of working at home!

allhailtheaubergine · 05/07/2011 10:11

Hello my fabulous friends.

I realised to my horror that I forgot to give you guys some Very Important Information with regard to my updiffedness.

  1. I gave away all my washable nappies the previous month.
  2. I have a holiday on a houseboat in the backwaters of India booked for 4 weeks before my due date.

I had a 3am sit up in bed gasping moment when I realised I had forgotten to disclose these massive influencing factors. Forgive me.

Now, go forth and book impractical long haul holidays, and give away your baby equipment my pretties.

OP posts:
HidingInTheUndergrowth · 05/07/2011 10:40

Oh dear, must go and buy some baby equiptment so I can give it away.

I do have a weeks holiday in Scotland booked for the exact same time I had my mc should I be pregnant now (does that even make sense?), this is already freaking me out as it is without DP and with a friend who is lovely but really didn't know how to deal with me after my last mc. Also I am terribly hypersensitive to mosquito bites and get a fever and swell up if I get bitten. Not so great for hanging about loches in the highlands during august at the best of times let alone when in the early stages of pregnancy.

So does that cover the impracticle holiday do you think? Not long haul but slightly scarey non the less.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 05/07/2011 12:23

Aubers I think I love you! :o

I just caved in and did my test. It's a digi and I got a Pregnant 1-2 weeks! BFP!

Gosh and golly. This thread really is something special :o

I think I need to have a lie down.

allhailtheaubergine · 05/07/2011 12:26

Hiding!!!!!!!!!!!! That is utterly fabulous news! Well done!!!!!!!

Bye bye rat Grin Grin

OP posts:
HidingInTheUndergrowth · 05/07/2011 12:34

Now I just need to hang on to it. Maybe we need to rename the thread to:

'I am jolly well going to get pregnant and stay pregnant and I will brook no arguement!'

Phew! Suppose I should get back to doing some work rather then sitting around alternating between grinning like a loony and feeling generally terrified.

thelittlefriend · 05/07/2011 12:42

hurray!! Well done hiding. Me next me next me next pleeeassse

PaleHandsILoved · 05/07/2011 13:30

Oh, Hiding, what wonderful news! Congratuations! So pleased for you.

I just cried in House of Fraser baby department buying a present for a friend's new baby because it was just so unfair that she had a baby and I didn't. Definitely pregnancy hormones and not PMT...

maybebabyR · 05/07/2011 13:48

Wohooooo! Huge congrats hiding we are starting as we mean to go on Grin

farfallarocks · 05/07/2011 15:56

I second the renaming of this thread to

'I am jolly well going to get pregnant and stay pregnant and I will brook no arguement!'

Got my sodding maternity exemption through the post this morning. It very curtly says on the back 'If you miscarry before 24 weeks please return this card to us'
Empathetic like!

Congrats to all the BFPs this thread is magic and I really belive this no nonsense attitude is the reason.

I second also booking a holiday to India, worked for me, now I just have to get it to STICK!!

Off to France to a wedding now, shall we tempting fate ALL OVER THE SHOP with extra runny cheese and vats of champagne.

I will update you with my BFP as soon as I return :)

farfallarocks · 05/07/2011 15:57

Oh and if this thread reaches 1000 whilst I am away can someone start a new one, please, pretty please

Over and out

Jebel · 05/07/2011 16:05

oh hiding you are so clever. Many many congrats.

pale - it is so difficult isn't it. I just spent the weekend with pregnant women who already have children. Anyway, we are jolly well updiffed already and going to stay that way.

Happy holiday farfalla

havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 17:46

Excellent news hiding!! How awesome is this thread?!
I am like a split personality at present. One minute I'm convinced I am, the next minute I'm in the fits of despair! I saw a great deal in the co-op for a pushchair/car seat 50 quid says mint condition!...
farfalla sorry to hear about your stupid card, how insensitive. Ah well you'll soon be needing a new one! Enjoy your holiday :)

farfallarocks · 05/07/2011 18:44

Thanks all! yes I shall keep the card as I am obviously going to be pregnant next month anyway (hopes won't be done for fraud!)
Can't remember the last time I needed a prescription other than the pill anyway!

Havealittlefaith - buy the pram

Hiding - such exciting news, well done!

havealittlefaithbaby · 05/07/2011 20:08

I feel rather nauseaus! :)

maybebabyR · 05/07/2011 20:25

Excellent have keep it up. Or down should I say Grin

Ah, I love laughing at my own jokes!
