Hello SunnyD. Yes it just takes the one, even if your eggs are of the powdered and withered variety. So I'm told...

schobe · 28/05/2011 21:46

I'm back briefly to continue taking no nonsense whatsoever.

Anyone pregnant yet?

allhailtheaubergine · 29/05/2011 05:07

Oh for goodness sake. I started this thread 11 hours ago and no one's pregnant yet? What are you all DOING? I want you all to pull your socks up and get on with it. This is not a thread for namby pamby shilly shallying. We mean business. No excuses.

I'm in. Decided to go for No 2 after hmming and haaing for a few months. Got AF yesterday, so this will be the month that Dh gets lucky every night (except when he's working away- the flaw in my plan- bah!). Also, I would be due 5 March, so with a lot of curry and raspberry leaf tea I might get a Feb 29th baby- would only have to buy him/her a b'day present every 4 years. bargain!

allhailtheaubergine · 29/05/2011 07:04

I like your thinking Bridey. Frugal.

Also loving your casual confidence in picking the due date. Exactly the sort of thing we need on this thread.

Great news!!

I have been sent the most perfect job advertisement. It is IDEAL for me. I'm bound to get pregnant if I apply for it. Grin

Do it Aubergine. Right this instant. Pour your heart and soul into the application and buy a new suit from Hobbs, like full price and everyfink.

I infer from my Boobs of Pain that the Red Tide of Doom is shortly to show up, which is good, cos I'm right back in the saddle (metaphorically: we don't have a sex swing or anything) next month - pre seed, shag dictator and all.

Obviously you're all getting pregnant today though, so I'll have to find someone else to talk to about it.

BlooferLady · 29/05/2011 07:38

Bride - you, madam, are quite, quite brilliant.

That is all.

schobe · 29/05/2011 08:56

Ok, so it seems we have two possible courses open to us.

  1. We determine our due dates, buy baby stuff, decorate the nursery and simply ACT as though a baby is coming, regardless of evidence to the contrary, OR
  2. Book round the world trips, get dream jobs, plan sponsored Everest expeditions in order to call the pregnancy's 'bluff'.

I'm wavering between the two tbh.

Anyone got any other plans to add?

Bexamundo · 29/05/2011 09:12

Hello! I'm in!
It will be nothing short of a miracle for me to get upduffed this month so .of course it will be the ironical bfp one dreams of. I am currently doing my dream job as a specialist nurse, seconded to September. This gives ne just enough time to get pg this cycle so when I go for a permanent contract (or possibly another year secondment) I'll have the awkward "I'm 3 months pg, do I confess at interview?" Dilemma. Add I'm the fact that Dh has to provide his sample the day I ovulate, limiting the opportunity to have swi during my fertile period. Finally, it must happen because otherwise I have to go for my fertility clinic appt re ?pcos and I really don't want a pelvic ultrasound! Hmm
So yes I am in, determined to makeup happen this month!

BlooferLady · 29/05/2011 09:16

Ooo Oooo I have a plan Schobe! I wasn't going to TTC this month (we've had 2/3 months off) cos I have four weeks to complete and submit my PhD thesis. well, I figure nothing could be more inconvenient to intensive study than feeling exhausted and sick, right? So here goes!

Ariesgirl · 29/05/2011 09:19

Schobe, are you mad? 2 every time. Every time! Don't PLAN for a baby because you will never get one. I am pretty certain that if I eventually give birth it will eventually be in June/July in the middle of a heatwave, leaving me with a screaming newborn for the rest of the summer (in my line of work the most difficult thing imaginable) and probably with complications arising from birth which will leave me incapable of driving. A 7lb sneeze in December it will NOT be.

Ariesgirl · 29/05/2011 09:20

Crossed with Bloof saying more or less the same thing

schobe · 29/05/2011 09:44

Yes! Bloofer - I love your lateral thinking. TTC even when you never intended to and a pregnancy/baby would be massively problematic.

I like your style, taking it up a notch.

Aries - re plan number 1, I know it seems crazy but, frankly, I blame TheBride. Also, keep an open mind - I bet it's something you haven't tried before is it????

Also, since we're all putting our feet down and just GETTING pregnant this month, well, where's the harm in booking the studio family photoshoot and extending the house for an extra inhabitant. Eh? Eh?

Ariesgirl · 29/05/2011 09:46

"An open mind"? What is this "open mind" of which you speak?

TigerseyeMum · 29/05/2011 09:49

Oh, I already found a family home and picked out a primary school yesterday Schobe, ahead of the game there.

BlooferLady · 29/05/2011 09:52

I have already picked out CAREERS for my chirruns, never mind NAMES

schobe · 29/05/2011 09:53

Nice one Tiger. Does the house put you horribly in debt up to your eyeballs?

That should do it.

Aries - I really think the aubergenius is going to have to come back and give you a stern talking to. There's a degree of shilly-shallying uncertainty in your posts that I don't think she will be comfortable with at all.

schobe · 29/05/2011 09:54

Disclaimer

Actually, Discalimer is quite a nice name for a girl.

TigerseyeMum · 29/05/2011 09:57

Oh the house is miles away, ridiculously expensive, and as my OH is teetering on the brink of redundancy this month it would be folly to sign on the dotted line. My own job hangs in the balance each month and I have just committed to 3 months crippling overtime to earn a smattering of cash. I couldn't commute to work from the new house anyway so would need a transfer to another office.

Timing couldn't be worse really Grin

BlooferLady · 29/05/2011 09:59

Discalimer Edith Filbington-Smythe

I too am jaded, disillusioned, hopeless and bleak. Also cross, since to look at me you'd think i barely needed to smell a cock to get instaduffled with triplets.

Dear Jesus,

What are these hips for then, eh?

Your puzzled friend,

Bloofer L. Ady.

BlooferLady · 29/05/2011 10:00

Tiger, please can we adopt that as the motif and proud motto of this thread? I volunteer to embroider it, frame it, and hang it over the bog.

Timing couldn't be worse really. BRILLIANT.

TigerseyeMum · 29/05/2011 10:12

Ooh yes, by all means, then when we are finally upduffed we can use it as our mantra to anyone who will listen, saying smugly 'Timing couldn't be worse, really' Grin

allhailtheaubergine · 29/05/2011 10:21

We could get it printed on the babygros we will definitely be needing in 9 months time.
