I am going to the docs when I have 2-3 CBFM cycles and at least 3 BBT charts as well as my cycle length covering the past year - as he was so useless a few weeks ago I feel that I need something in my hand to say I think we have a bit of a problem here..

I joined Slimming World yesterday which some may think is a bit mad as it is only 3 weeks until Xmas but I am sure being overweight is not helping baby production. We are off to a wedding in London tomorrow - the child is being left behind (not home alone I may add :)) so I forecast lots of lovely champagne being drunk!!!

Does being hungover have any detrimental effect on taking temps does anybody know??

Hi all, thanks for your concern. I'm feeling a bit better about the gory sounding septum - at least it's being picked up early in my TTC journey. The Dr has also told me that I'm a candidate for IVF if no luck with TTC by the end of September next year, so grateful to be on his books.

Lexie - I had a HUGE hangover a month or so ago and my temp that morning was sky high! FF likes you to tick a box if you've been drinking so it can take that into account. I caved and signed up for the VIP membership with the half price deal. I think it's a good idea to take charts etc to the doctor as well, maybe they will take it all more seriously that way.

My chart is looking a bit weird this morning - do you think I've ov-ed already???

Hmmmm looks like FF thinks you ovulated later than you did.

Hopefully your DP's swimmers will hang around! I seem to recall this happened to you last month as well? Maybe we should all keep going at it until those magic red lines appear on the chart, even if it seems like it's all over for the month?

Looks like Ov is approaching for me, poorly timed with DH's late shift, hopefully we'll manage to get it on a few times.

Sunday's temp isnt that reliable, as it was a late morning/slightly hungver reading, however, if I discard that temp, it goes back to no ovulation. Guess I'll just have to see what happens over the next couple of days!

Today has got off to a positive start the CBFM has shown a peak, my temperature is starting to rise - fingers crossed by body is doing what it is supposed to do... I am on CD13 and OH has been primed to spring into action tonight - that should give him happy thoughts in the office!!!!!

Hi all - Lexie you and I seem to be on the same cycle! Looks like you had a humungous temp spike one day - I assume that was after a Christmas party?

I'm on CD12, no sign of EWCM yet but got a (faint) + OPK and am feeling ...ahem ... randy. I texted DH to say my egg was coming, hope that hasn't freaked him out, I sometimes wonder whether it would be better to just jump his bones without giving him all the gory details!

My chart is absolutely flummoxing me this month - anyone care to take a look and tell me what you think?

Apparently I haven't ovulated yet, but thought I had on CD17 (and the chart was following my usual pattern to that point). I seem to have turned into a reptile with my freezing temps! The last few days I have been up a couple of hours early hence the white circles, but was expecting the temps to shoot up by now...any ideas?

Hi Squirrel, I would say you are maybe just about to? Could today be the dip pre rise? 36 is consistent with your lowest temp pre rise on your other charts

I agree with carebear, quite often you get a dip just before the ov rise.

Temp has gone back up again now and hopefully will keep going up! Had some spotting last night as well which might also signal ovulation. And managed to get in some SWI, though we are both exhausted as FF told us to get it on starting at CD9 and it's now CD20!! Also DH has new job with 4 hours of commuting per day, poor man.

IfAtFirst sorry to see your temp has dropped and the old hag may be due for a visit. If its any consolation, you should be able to have a boozy Christmas...

I have another appointment with a consultant to discuss my malformed uterus next week, looking forward to getting some more info, though I fear she will advise me not to TTC for a while til it's sorted out.

Arrghh I can't make head or tail of my chart now...temp went back up, then down again!

Do you ladies think I have ovulated yet? Going a little insane here....

My acupuncturist always says never to focus too much on the change from one day to another as there's so many other things that can affect a temp, best to look at overall pattern for the month. I think it all looks good, your E was a couple of days before ov which I think is spot on when its meant to happen, plus you got an H right around ov which is also right timing. Wait and see how the temps pan out for next few days i reckon.

i'm having a difficult month working out what's going on for me - was away first half of my cycle in a different time zone and its put me out. Spent last couple of days convincing myself the dip at day 20 plus spotting was implantation but wishful thinking i reckon, will have to console myself with xmas boozing.

Squirrel, at another look i'd say you got your BD'ing spot on too, i think you should be confident you've done all you can for this month.

Im back to CD1, which isnt that much of a surprise, and helped by the fact that I can have a good old drink over Christmas & New year Although CD8-16 this cycle has fallen right slap bang over Christmas & New Year, when we'll be stayin with family & friends (not very convenient!)

Hmmm, all very interesting. Against FF's advice, I recalculated my temps using this tool - and the chart still looks weird, but not as weird.... Have you folks ever done that? Do you think it's as naughty as FF says?

Sorry about AF IfAtFirst. You might have to pull a quickie in a cupboard or something during your family visit!

Carebear - I think the dip and spotting look rather promising!

ooh that tool is quite interesting squirrel. I actually did mine twice the other day at different times (had a lazy doze after the first one). At 7am it was 98.75 and by 08.30 it was 98.9. I put the 98.9 temp into that tool and it gave me a 98.7 temp prediction for 7am, so not 100% accurate but something in it. If it was me I might be tempted to go halfway between the temp taken and that tool prediction.

IF, sorry AF got you. Do either of you go for acupuncture at all?

i don't know what's going on for me this month, i can't wait for AF to know where I am again. i need information!

My chart is being a bit weird this month as it has dropped twice below the coverline after ovulation. I am not holding out any great hope :(

Oooh I am liking the BBT adjuster!!!! I think next cycle I will change my timing to 8.00am instead of 7.00am as with Christmas holidays there is half a chance of being woken later. Does anybody know what effect changing the time will have overall on your monthly charts??

Anyway at least this month I appear to have ovulated so that is an improvement on last month and think period should be here just before Christmas if it behaves itself.....

Hope everyone is doing ok - got to start planning my christmas food shopping and OH has informed me that we are having overnight guests on Thursday which means I have to strip guest beds and clean guest bathroom before my parents arrive the following day - added to that DS has chicken pox, looks like the unclean and will still probably be infectious and miserable on Mon/Tues aaarghhhh!!!!!!

Soooo - who is doing fanjo temping? I did normal temping and got 36.25 this morning, then did fanjo and got 36.40! I'm a convert to fanjo now I think because I want my temps to go up

BTW I don't think dipping below the coverline is cause for concern really - the coverline is meant to be a something to help you visualise your pre and post O patterns.

Finally, I ovulated! Am exhausted - have never had so much sex in my life!!

Mornning - well I got my period last night but on the bright side I have had a 28 day cycle, if we go by dates from CBFM then I reckon that my LP appears to be of a reasonable length so all in all not too bad :)

I decided to do fanjo temping but wonder what impact having a tampax inside of you has on it? Sorry quite a grim thought at this time of the morning!!!!

Anyway I can drink myself stupid if I choose to do so and onto the next cycle....

AF got me today - nice boxing day present! Shows what travelling to another timezone can do to your system - after the last 3 cycles of ovulating around day 12/13, this month ovulated day 21.

I'm on 12 DPO and started spotting today :( Technically the spotting started 11 DPO as I'm abroad right now in another time zone (and feeling nauseous, but probably from jet lag). Too late for implantation spotting I wonder? I expect the evil AF is just round the corner....
