I agree, but also disagree Confused

I start work at diferent times, alternating each day. The days that I do my 'late' my temps are higher, so my chart tends to be very up & down. Weekends especially, when I have a well deserved lie-in, my temps are definately much higher than average.

HOWEVER, I find that if I randomly decide to take my temp in the afternoon or evening, my temp is very very low!

Lexie1970 · 23/11/2011 11:32

Hi girls,

Well FF thinks I have ovulated but because my timings were out on some days the line is dotted - am I right this is because some of the data was inconsistent?

Was just nosing on the web about luteal phase and its importance in things and came across this website that explains really well how your temperature changes during your cycle and why it does what it does. I expect if you have been charting for quite a while you know all this info already but any newbies might find it interesting :)

www.webwomb.com/basalbodytemps2.htm

and here is my chart

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f779a/">My Ovulation Chart

I have tender boobs and period like twinges so it will be interesting to see when my period actually comes - whether I am hitting a normal cycle lenth, if I have ovulated do I have normal LP length, all useful stuff to give to GP after Xmas when I will push for tests etc. Since miscarriage my boobs feel tender quite a lot with twinges here and there - do you think this is normal to be so aware of things - not sure if I ever noticed it prior to m/c.....

It feels so strange analysing this, having son makes you realise having a baby at all is actually incredible and you are so damn lucky when it works.

Anyway that is me for today

pupcake · 23/11/2011 20:09

Hi all!

Lexie I think I read somewhere (maybe here??) that it's better to take your temp right away when you wake up, even if it's earlier than the normal time, because just lying there not sleeping can raise it. That said, I personally tend to try to lie there and fall back asleep until the designated time.

AuntieDoris · 24/11/2011 07:57

I have had a massive drop this morning. Think that may mark the beginning of the end. I could cry. Again. Chart here

Squirrel77 · 24/11/2011 08:26

Good morning all, how is everyone?

Lexie I know what you mean about symptom spotting - it's turning me into crazy woman! Latest 'symptoms' are a sore eye socket and tailbone Blush

Carebear I also heat up if I lie around between taking temps.

Keen for your input into my chart if possible, ladies. I'm 15 DPO, BFN's, but temps are still high. Very light spotting for last two days. This is only my second cycle charting and last luteal phase was 11 days. But I had the Mirena taken about about two months ago. D'ya think I'm upduffed or is my body playing tricks on me? Why are my temps still high if I'm not preggo? Confused

PS Sorry AuntDoris we posted at the same time it seems. So sorry to hear about yet another disappointment for you. Take care of yourself, I really feel for you.

lucytee · 24/11/2011 10:37

Lexie1970 · 24/11/2011 12:36

hmmm

With today's reading it is now not showing ovulation ....... interesting as I am getting the twinges associated with period coming. CD19 so it could be imminent if I am hitting 20/21 day cycle.

Here we go - what does anybody make of this??????

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f779a

Checked CBFM last night, put in new batteries and re-set data so let us see where we go from here .......

lucytee · 24/11/2011 13:49

hi lexi , could you tell me how to make ure page into a link please i would really like some second opinions on my chart as i am not a temping expert , this is my first munth doing it after clomid . thanksx

Lexie1970 · 24/11/2011 14:29

Hi Lucy

Obviously you got your HTML code from she 'share' function so just copy and paste the bits between " " then you need to tick the box at the bottom of this message box which say convert links automatically and then when message is posted the link is automatic.

HTH - i have only been temping a month so am no use in interpreting data however I would say next month I am definitely going to temp at exactly the same tiime and see what happens....

good luck!

lucytee · 24/11/2011 14:54

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3902f8 , thanks , lol it takes me a while!

Squirrel77 · 25/11/2011 07:48

Hi Lucy, I don't have much experience but that chart looks normal to me.

Anyone else have experience of lots of high temps followed by AF? I am 16 DPO and temps are still really high. Cramps and spotting but no AF. Confused
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/squirrel77

Hope you're all keeping well out there. Getting cold isn't it!

AuntieDoris · 25/11/2011 07:56

I'm out and I am devastated :(

Squirrel77 · 25/11/2011 09:33

Sorry to hear that AuntieDoris. This doesn't seem to be a great month for us charters.

Lexie1970 · 25/11/2011 09:44

Well I'm out as well - AF appeared about 3 am this morning and this cycle I managed a whole 19 days - explains why FF couldn't make head or tail of it .... well neither can I!!!

Though I am disappointed I know we didn't DTD enough to even be in with a chance but honestly believe that a 19 / 20 day cycle is just not long enough to actually conceive, thoughts anyone??

So that's me off into town to buy more tampax and currently padded out with toilet tissue .... so not a good feel!!!!

Hope you are all doing ok under circumstances

x

Squirrel77 · 25/11/2011 11:17

Hi Lexie - bugger. Your cycle does seem very short. I have head that Chasteberry, Dong Quai and B6 supplements can lengten your luteal phase, maybe worth looking into?

By the way, everyone on this thread seems to have just got / is due for AF at the moment - spooky...

I am still clinging on to the vain hope that I might get a BFP, but another BFN this morning so lord knows what my innards are doing.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 25/11/2011 11:29

So sorry about AF AuntieD & Lexi :(

Lexi I'm baffled by your chart - sorry! How long are your cycles usually?

I'm now on CD9, so the SWI starts now!

Lexie1970 · 25/11/2011 13:41

been reading up on stuff on t'internet - jeez makes you feel depressed :( :(

Ifatfirst - when we actually seriously thought about having 2nd baby end of 2009 beginning of 2010 I was tracking my periods and they were like clockwork bang on 28 days and I think I probably fell pregnant in 2nd or 3rd month of trying properly (we didn't bother with OPK etc just were not shagging enough :) ). After ERPC my cycles were so erratic and then settled down to roughly every 21 days and I saw my lovely GP in London who did the day 3 and day 21 tests but did it at day 14 just to check as well back in May or June as we were not having much luck in conceiving. As we had moved I had to call her on phone and she said things looked normal and come back in 6 months if nothing to report.

With periods starting to be erratic again I went to new GP who did not seem that bothered even though I am 41 this is why I am tracking now as I am starting to get concerned.

This is my little spreadsheet .......

2011 CYCLE
Date of period cycle length (days)

12-Jan

13-Feb 31

03-Mar 17

30-Mar 26

22-Apr 22

24-Jul 25

18-Aug 24

08-Sep 20

17-Oct 38

06-Nov 20

25-Nov 19

I think if I have 24 /25 day cycle there is half a chance I have ovulated when you are down to 19/20 days there is just not enough time I don't think, but now I am wondering whether to try and get referred to fertility endocrinologist to see am I becoming perimenopausal due to age

TTFN

pupcake · 25/11/2011 19:53

Auntie Doris I'm so sorry. :-( Hugs to you.

Lexie really can't make heads or tails of your chart. I think you should take your chart to your doc and get some blood work done - check your thyroid, prolactin, progesterone, fsh, etc.... it could be that you are having anovulatory cycles, but I really hope not! I am starting a B50 complex regimen to see if it helps lengthen my LP and or stop the spotting.

if at first, go get'em tiger! FX for you.

squirrel we are kind of in the same boat, but I think your situation is more promising than mine. Are you actually late yet? I am due for AF today or tomorrow (possibly Sunday), and started spotting yesterday, right on time. Still spotting today (it's more today than yesterday), but it's mostly pink/brown - not red flow. Also, my temps are still high!!! What's going on? Last month, my temps took a huge dive and then I started spotting. The only thing I can think of is that my temps are not accurate because I'm sick. No high fever or anything, just a bad cold/sore throat. My HPTs are all negative (3 days running).

Hello to everyone else!

pupcake · 25/11/2011 19:54

Oh and here's my chart.... www.fertilityfriend.com/home/DaisyQ

Squirrel77 · 26/11/2011 10:21

Bugger, AF is here. 3 days of spotting were the simply the curtain raiser to AF's mighty performance! (and oh is she performing this morning!)

Guess I should have known, as the spotting started bang on AF's scheduled visit...just don't normally get it. Probably more post Mirena rumblings in my innards.

Pupcake what's happening with your spotting situation?

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 26/11/2011 11:34

Lexie I would agree that you should see your GP and make some demands. Those cycles are pretty much all over the shop

Lexie1970 · 01/12/2011 08:10

morning, morning, morning!!

Where is everybody?????

Squirrel77 · 01/12/2011 09:44

I'm here! (waves!!!)

On CD6 so not much to report...how are you Lexie? Have you discussed your cycle with your doctor?

I just got a slightly upsetting letter from my doc. I had surgery for endo 2 years ago and went for a follow up scan recently. I just opened a letter from the consultant, who wrote to say he thinks there is a 'uterine septum' which needs 'exploring further.' I immediately googled it and it doesn't sound pretty - gives a 60% chance of miscarriage, but can be surgically removed. I am very anxious to get it out but have to be re-referred to the consultant through the GP - lord knows how long that'll take - and am about to go abroad for 6 weeks, potentially missing out on an appointment.

Ok that's my rant for the day. Hope everyone else has had a better start to the day!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 01/12/2011 20:59

Pants - My post just disappeared! Anyway the gist of it;

I'm on CD15 and think ov has happened, just waiting for FF to confirm it www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed and I've generously been given 5 free VIP days!

Squirrel I'm so sorry that you've received bad news today :( I have never heard of that condition, is it something that you're born with, or can it just randomly develop? I really hope that they're either mistaken or the surgery is speedy & easy!
