can any of you ladies give me any advice on what time of day and where on he body is best to temp? Blush x

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 09/11/2011 20:51

Put your thermometer on your bedside table tonight, and pop it in your mouth the moment you wake up.
Try & take your temp at the same time each day.

Good luck!

lucytee · 09/11/2011 21:45

thankyou !!! i will du just tht ! x

AuntieDoris · 10/11/2011 09:38

Squirrel77 · 10/11/2011 22:10

PS - Do you ladies reckon we should still be SWI-ing this cycle? Both of us are a bit exhausted but will continue if necessary!

Hi :) Got myself a digital thermometer and wondering how successful is this method and I'm half way through my cycle atm so shall I wait till TOTM starts so I can start taking my temp from a new cycle. What am I looking for exactly?? Basically I need step by step help lol sorry TTC for first time. Eating healthy, taking zinc, cutting down caffine, dont smoke or drink my DH cut back on alcohol. So doing all we can been off pill since May and been trying since. Any help welcomed.

AuntieDoris · 12/11/2011 07:51

OK experts... do you think I have seen ovulation this month according to this chart?

Squirrel77 · 12/11/2011 08:58

AuntieDoris - I'm no expert (as you know) but I would have said CD13.

AmyLouise - welcome! Have you been to www.FertilityFriend.com yet? You can sign up and chart your temps for free. You can also download a very informative booklet about how it all works. I would say that you should start charting now even if you are in the middle of your cycle, so you get into the routine of it and Fertility Friend can start analysing your data.

I am happy to say that FF just confirmed my ovulation - exciting to see those red lines. I did OPKs from day 11. The positive I got on CD 17 wasn't darker than the control line but it was the only line I have got since testing I think it may be because I drink loads of water all day (but tried to not to drink 2 hours before POAS) - so I did record a positive, do you experts think that's the right approach? BTW, FF gives me dotted red lines for the same day if I omit the OPK reading from the chart.

Hi, mind if I join in? I have just discovered the FF charting tool through your thread and am so excited by the technology!! thanks for posting so people like me would find it. Here's my chart, hopefully I've done it right:

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Carebear1

CareBear1 · 13/11/2011 12:18

PS, what does a vertical solid red line at ovulation mean compared with the dotted red line? Is dotted red line a 'maybe ovulated' and solid 'did ovulate'?

jaggythistle · 13/11/2011 12:33

I think a dotted line is 'FF not quite sure', due to possibly conflicting or missing info.

Hello by the way - I am still lurking between here and the charters graduates thread.

FX for you all as always :)

jaggythistle · 13/11/2011 12:35

Carebear - think it might be cos you have 'W' CM after the dotted line and Peak readings too. So FF thinks it doesn't match the temp rise.

Lexie1970 · 14/11/2011 17:14

Hi

My temp shot up this morning as I have mild stomach bug which has not been pleasant. Is there anyway of telling whether the temp peak is from having bug or ovulation has occurred. I am on CD 9 and I presume this will tally if I have another 20/21 day cycle.

This is all still a bit confusing for me as you can tell :)

Hi all,

Can I join? I just started temping this month and am oh so eager to confirm that I ovulated! I am using FF along with the CBFM (and also OPK's because I'm just a tad bit obsessive). Trying to figure out if I O'ed yesterday or even on Saturday, as I had a + OPK that the CBFM missed on Friday. Here's a link to my chart, in case anyone is interested in taking a gander.

My Ovulation Chart

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies!

pupcake · 14/11/2011 19:53

Grrr - hoping this link will work...

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/38702c

pupcake · 14/11/2011 20:11

Auntie Doris - could be CD 12 even? Your temp starts to rise on CD 13, with a bigger jump in the next couple days. For me this month (first month using CBFM) the monitor missed my first peak - I am cross checking with OPKs, and on Friday morning, the CBFM gave me a "high", but the OPK was nearly as dark as the control line. I did another OPK later that day and got a strong +. So my first real peak was probably on Friday, but the CBFM didn't pick it up until Saturday. So if your monitor missed your peak by a day, ovulation could be just a tad earlier than what FF is telling you. I think FF tells you that statistically people using the monitor usually O on the 2nd peak day, so it might default to that. Just my opinion!

Squirrel77 · 16/11/2011 08:18

Hi - where is everyone? I'm in the agonising 2WW (Cycle 2 so still new to this obsession) - have become a complete FF addict, checking charts similar to mine, obsessively entering 'pregnancy' symptoms into my chart, even having phantom implantation cramps on 5DPO Blush, devouring pineapple juice, haven't even had a glass of wine for 3 days (an amazing feat)!

Hope everyone is well. Pupcake - I'm pretty new to this but would have said CD18.

Squirrel77 · 16/11/2011 08:19

PS Lexie - if you post up your chart we can have a look and let you know what we think! Hope you've recovered from the stomach bug.

Lexie1970 · 16/11/2011 13:19

Thanks Squirrel :)

Looking at it now as temp has dropped think it was probably bug. Been sniping with OH over past few days so BD is not happening - Jeez why can't we just be nice to each other!!!!

If this link doesn't work can somebody tell me how to post a link correctly :)

Lexie1970 · 16/11/2011 13:20

hmmm

lets try this!

pupcake · 16/11/2011 15:20

Hi Squirrel, you were right on, per FF - today is my third temp above coverline, and estimated ovulation day was CD 18. I am now 3 DPO and going crazy. No that I can't obsess about my fertility status anymore this cycle, I'm obsessing over my luteal phase, which is 11 days (I think). I know that technically this is OK, but I still feel like it's a tad short, and I also have been spotting 1-2 days before AF arrives. I am thinking about trying B6. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Lexie a bug can absolutely spike a temp. I had one very high temp early in cycle after getting a flu shot (only reason I got it is because I'm hoping to get knocked up this Fall or Winter!). I felt horribly afterwards - body aches etc., and the next am my temp shot up tremendously, but went back down the next day. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. GL!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/11/2011 19:29

Hi Ladies, lovely to see this thread so alive again, welcome to all you newbies! :)

Well, I'm just waiting for AF to arrive (yet again) www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed :(
So, that's 9 cycles since the M/C, 26 cycles since I started charting and apx 52 cycles since we started TTC - sheesh!Shock

CareBear1 · 16/11/2011 20:57

Hi all,

Jaggythistle thanks for the tip, I get it now. Hopefully its just my monitor that was wrong!?

Pupake your rise after ovulation is looking good.

Auntie I can't see the link to yours, is it back a few pages?

Ifatfirst, that is quite a marathon, a girl after my own heart, I'm on 50 cycles next month. I can only see your last 2 charts, any idea why I can't scroll down any more?

Lexie I can open the link but can't see much data on there, is this the first month you've charted?

PS Is anyone else waking up quite excited to see what their temperature is doing or is that just me Blush !

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/11/2011 21:10

Carebear It'll be because I'm only using the basic membership (this long TTC it would end up pretty expensive), and you can only display two charts at once.
