Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Oh and apple juice really does do stuff down there Blush should probably ease off a bit.... Nor sure what to drink now tho as I seem to have developed an allergy to lime cordial-makes my Tongue swell up!!!?!

nickstermum · 25/03/2011 19:05

It really does doesnt it pink!

Nope to a new job for me... my headoffice is in bristol.. as long as i can get to bristol & MK its fine anywhere for me as i am home based anyway. Better south tbh. Dont know - DH will be working in Salisbury.

Proper catch up later xx

Velvetcu · 25/03/2011 19:08

just a quick post to say 'hi' and that all is fine here...

off to my booking in appointment tomorrow which will be nice.... although the 'big' milestone is the scan on the 5th of April.... only 11 days to go for that now :)

hugs to everyone here - especially those having lovely days

Off to bed now... night night

OrangeGloss · 26/03/2011 07:22

Izzy I lost about 5lbs to start with, but have now gained a stone!
Banana you have my sympathy, it's taken me 2 weeks to start to feel like myself again
Lara congrats and welcome to the mentalling. Yep safe to say we all feel like that :)
I agree this is a damn lovely thread and I'm lucky to have it when I don't know any RL pg women
Dachs you don't need me to tell you the cramps will probably be growing pains as you make room for both beans. I hope Weds comes fast for you. I tell myself after every scan/milestone I'll calm down. This lasts about 3 days Blush
Tunnocks sadly mc dreams seem common, I have them all the time, but not so many recently. I'm now having looking-after-small-animal dreams, which I'm taking as my subconscious being more positive about things!
Happy Birthday for yesterday Izzy :) ! I hope you did something nice?
Mummya great link! Grin
Nix that's awesome news for both of you :) it's going to be your year :)
Knitter I hope today goes well for you, it is a big emotional milestone, don't be surprised if you get teary like I did and need a hug from the mw Blush

All the same here, work really busy coming up to end of financial year, contracts to renew and trying to study. But, it's keeping my mind occupied :)

IreneHeron · 26/03/2011 08:44

No time for a big catch up, but I'll try and name check everyone later.

Knitter good luck with booking in.

I had my booking in appointment yesterday at last. I feel like I've been waiting for ages. It is nice to feel more official now and like time is at last passing. Can't help but feel a bit worried though, too scared to apply for maternity exemption and bounty pack stuff for example because I remember last time how awful it felt having to cancel it. Now it is just the long, hard wait for my scan on 18th April. Ho hum.

cep · 26/03/2011 09:00

morning all, welcome newbies and congratulations.

nix that's great news congratulations on dh's new job.

hope everyone is ok.

banana87 · 26/03/2011 09:51

Good luck Knitter today!

Congratulations nix on DH's new job.

Are any other newbies feeling distinctly un-pregnant? My boobs are still swollen but the tenderness is very on and off. Was feeling extremely tired for the past few days but that could be down to the bug I have. Trying not to get too worked up and reminding myself I am not even a week late yet. Having some cramping too, nothing bad enough to need to take anything but is doing nothing for my confidence :(

OrangeGloss · 26/03/2011 10:50

My mum just rang me for the first time since I told her I was pg, all she asked was my due date then tales about herself Angry :( she is the most un-maternal woman I have ever met

nickstermum · 26/03/2011 10:55

Gosh orange :( that's pants! Do you get on with her or just a very distant relationship?

hotnspicyonions · 26/03/2011 10:59

Large haddock, no chips for Oranges mum Angry

Collie2 · 26/03/2011 11:05

banana I feel distinctly un-pg. I have swollen boobs but they've not been tender, and that's it. No other symptoms to speak of. I know I should be happy I don't feel like shit but some form of symptom would be reassuring. Poas yest though and got nice strong line so that'll have to do. Smile

yay for nix on the good news.

Thanks all for thoughts yesterday. Went well, iykwim. Think my non drinking was probably noticed by close family who know about mc but noone said anything.

In car heading to lakes now, so will catch up properly when back.

Orange that's horrible for you - my mum is the same! She is more like my little sister. Glad you are keeping busy tho, it makes the time move faster doesnt it.

How are we all today?

banana I still feel unpregnant despite loads of symptoms coz I'm trying to keep detached from it all still. And lots of women dont even know they are diffed til a week or 2 late so dont worry too much.

Good luck with booking in knitter. Glad yours went well Irene I didn't get my bounty pack last time (I think I subconsciously knew something was wrong) but I did sign up for a few things and I remember how awful it was getting reminders about how far along I was meant to be.

I bought 3 new bras a cup size bigger last weekend and I'm almost out of them already!! DH thinks it's great but doesn't seem to get the messsge that they do not want to be squeezed, sucked, squashed OR TOUCHED IN ANY WAY!!!!!!

Izz forgot to say I have lost 3lbs in the past week (although DH mentions every day that he cant believe how big my belly is already! It's hard not wobbly though so even if I breathe in I still have a bump).

I have a proper horrid snotty cold. I know some of you gals have had it recently too - what did you take for it? I have read conflicting things about paracetamol. Am I allowed Vicks?

No scan for me today, the epu was full so they could only accept emergencies. I'm a bit disappointed, but glad I'm not an emergency so will have to go on Monday. Feel bad taking time off work though.

Good luck knitter- I wonder if we crossed paths without knowing it today.

Boo to oranges mum.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 26/03/2011 15:16

Am pleased to announce that I am still double diffed with a pair of wriggling bouncing beans :)

(and now I'm officially at 12 weeks I couldn't resist buying some little outfits Blush )

Went to Oxford St and didn't realise there were going to be demonstrations and riots today so have just spent the last half hourbeing terrified of being stuck in the middle of trouble. Am now safely on train on the way home though :)

Quiet here today!

Hope you are all ok

MummyAbroad · 26/03/2011 15:36
