Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Here is a link to the old thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1165866-Freak-out-room-for-those-newly-updiffed-after-MC-to-hold-hands-and-support-each-other-Part-III/AllOnOnePage#24507574

knitter hope you get your results today

wiw i'm keeping everything crossed for your scan. i'm sure it'll be fine.

katherine2008 · 13/04/2011 07:46

Hooray, Hooray mummya (I tried to stay up but failed...). And a HUGE happy birthday tunnocks - have an iced bun from me!

Fx again today for knitter - everything crossed in fact.

Waves to everyone and tells wiw not to worry - I dashed off to have a scan due to sudden lack of symptoms last week and all was fine. I think they thought I was a little crazy (in a nice way) at the Clinic.

kat2504 · 13/04/2011 08:17

Happy birthday tunnocks!

Knitter hope you hear this morning, fingers still crossed.

Please get the haddock back out as I have been consulting doctor google. No good ever comes from that! Still worried about feeling less pregnant, cm has reduced along with boobs which come and go a bit. No ms yet. But plenty of you have been symptom free with no probs so trying tothink positive!
Have booked private scan as nhs says no bleeding, no need. In ten days time. Will be almost 8 weeks then so hopefully it will be goodnews and I can tell people. Waiting is very hard!

Velvetcu · 13/04/2011 08:18

Wonderful scan news mummya

Happy birthday tunnocks how's the stomach? I hope you get to eat some cake today!

knitter am hoping for you again today.

Wombat33 · 13/04/2011 09:28

yey for mummya great news! Grin

Good luck today knitter xxx
good luck to any up coming scanners too!

Happy birthday tunnocks!

wiw I described to them the pain I have and the midwife pressed on the front of my pelvis. I yelped and nearly leapt off the bed and she just said, yes, that's spd!

Wombat33 · 13/04/2011 09:31

ps nearly time for a new thread. Who's turn is it to do the honours?

wombatinwaiting · 13/04/2011 09:40

eeeeouch wombat! Can they give you any exercises / suggestions to stop it getting any worse...?

Happy birthday tunnocks - does that mean we all get to have iced buns or just you? Any excuse for me..... Grin

Thank you all for the grandiose fish-slapping and words of reassurance. Why is it so darn easy to dole out words of wisdom and advice to others yet so hard to listen to them yourself Confused ......

Oops - have just used up another thread and not started the new one yet.....

are we still on this thread?!

LaraMi · 13/04/2011 12:38

Happy birthday Tunnocks - enjoy your last baby-free birthday...! Loving the birthday cake..

A big sign of relief and pat on the back to MummyA. So happy for you - see, we told you you got the best medical care and are "sorted"!!

Woke up this AM in a panic after I dreamt I MC-ed. Prodded boobs with gusto and then panicked as I don't seem to have many (or any) other pg symptoms. How can I have had an early scan only a few days ago and now be neurotic already??? Kat - I feel exactly the same as you; the lack of MS is seriously worrying me. I almost think that if I stop thinking / worrying about my developing bean, little bean will "forget" to develop and will just disappear. Kat - I am 6+5 so we must be at the same stage....

LaraMi · 13/04/2011 12:42

Ooh (just read back) - Wombat - will def email you if I go on either Dubai trip... It also occurred to me in the shower this AM that I can ask you for a recommendation for an emergency doc if I, erm, miscarry in Dubai... . I agree too that Barasti Bar is fab (at sundown!) as is Bar 44 at the Grosvenor (was there is Jan and took great pleasure in "hooker spotting" with my colleague after dinner!)

Blackkat · 13/04/2011 12:50

lara i'm 6+2 or 3 and have horrid dreams routinely no sickness just knackered. No scan for at least 2 wks. So know how you feel. ((hugs))

Blackkat · 13/04/2011 12:52

happy birthday tunnocks and yay for gymnast mummyabean

DoubleDiffedDachs · 13/04/2011 12:58

Lack of ms means nothing. At all. 75% of people get it. That means 25% of people DON'T. Including me, with twins! I know how you feel as I felt exactly the same and versions 1 and 2 of this thread are probably packed with me worrying about ms, but several people (notably owl as I recall) applied the haddock to me a number of times. It's better to focus your energies on the fact that the scans were good, rather than worring about the lack of a symptom that not everyone gets anyway.

I think it's quite funny that so many of us here are worrying about not having ms, and the other half are worrying about having it so badly. There's nothing easy or enjoyable about this being pg after mc stuff, is there! :)

and happy birthday tunnocks

mamap drooling at your menu. Look out for us invading you :)

Now, somebody HAS to set up a new thread. I'm not doing the honours as I did the first two, so in Brian's absence someone else needs to seize control :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 13/04/2011 13:17

A quick and sad update from me...

I've chased the hospital again and they still didn't have the results through... So they offered to phone the lab and get back to me, which they just did. Not good news. My bean has Down's Syndrome.

My next steps are to go and see the doctor at the Foetal Medicine Unit tomorrow to have a termination approved and then time/date booked.

Thank you so much for your care and support over my pregnancy and in particular this last, very difficult, week. It has meant so much to me.

May you all have the most wonderful babies.

Oh Knitter . I'm so, so sorry :(

Huge hugs to you and your family; I hope that the next few days, weeks and months are as bearable as they can be xxx

MummyAbroad · 13/04/2011 13:26

knitter I am crying buckets for you, I am so sorry that its bad news. I totally understand your decision to terminate and I would do the same, but its so so unfair that this should happen to you. Sorry I dont have anything more comforting to say, much love xxx

LaraMi · 13/04/2011 13:29

Knitter - I am speechless and utterly saddened. I can't put into words how much I am thinking of you and am sending the biggest hug from Streatham Hill to Southfields. I can't find the words to express how I feel right now. Keep strong.
