Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Here is a link to the old thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1165866-Freak-out-room-for-those-newly-updiffed-after-MC-to-hold-hands-and-support-each-other-Part-III/AllOnOnePage#24507574

Great news nix - looks like everything's coming together Smile

Yay for fab scan dachs , must be nice to see both beans doing so well Grin

ninuina sorry you didn't get your scan but like you said at least it's because you're not an emergency Smile

orange boo for your mum - that must be really hard. Hope you're ok x

banana velvet and anyone else with no symptoms - I don't have any either and it does make it seem quite surreal. Part of me does worry about what if it's because something's gone wrong, but I have to tell myself that's paranoia - I had no symptoms with ds and dd either and they were fine

Good news is I've now spoken to dsis who was just lovely about it all, which is great but Sad. I just wish she could be taking this journey with me!

Anyway having a chilled out day today, our new guinea pigs arrived yesterday so we're mainly spending the weekend sat in a row in front of the cage, watching them!

Velvetcu · 26/03/2011 18:49

glad your sis was ok Izz, I wish DH would let me get some more pets (I would have rats instead of guinea pigs tho). As for symptoms - I have them all I think apart from ms and even that is starting to rear it's head but I still feel unpg!

What flavour is the cake? I quite fancy lemon drizzle atm.

Now that's the great thing about virtual cake velvet - you can have whatever flavour you want Grin. Here, have some lemon drizzle!

tunnocks Grin that sounds great fun and yes the kids are wildly over-excited. I see little of anything else getting done this weekend!

tiggersreturn · 26/03/2011 20:05

Hi Magic - I just saw you'd had the twins! Congratulations! I'd love to have girls. I'm still not sure about joining any threads on pg, maybe when I get to about 20 weeks or so. I've just got to the stage of asking for my maternity clothes back from the person who borrowed them "for someone else" and have bought a few things on la redoute and in the next sale as all my clothes are winter ones.

Silver - we're about 4 days apart.

kat2504 · 26/03/2011 21:16

I see a lot of names I recognize from when I was on the mother thread. At long last I have been able to join you.
Tested early so hope I am not being to hasty.
Have the fear already. Very faint line no real symptoms.
Will read through the thread to get up to date with where you are all up to.

Velvetcu · 26/03/2011 21:25

Hey kat I'm really pleased you have been able to join us :) welcome to the mentalling

KnitterNotTwitter · 26/03/2011 23:53

kat welcome lovely to have you here.. FX for lots of burrowing over the next few days...

ninu I was the harassed woman racing in there at about 11.45 for a 11.30 appointment.... amused if you did see me although sad that you didn't get your scan...

magic congratulations... you were one of the first BFP's I remember from the TTC thread - so thrilled for you...

Right - off to bed now - don't forget to change your clocks forward....

nickstermum · 27/03/2011 06:59

KAT Whoop for the line. A line is indeed a line - YAY!!! huge congrats x

OrangeGloss · 27/03/2011 07:47

Thanks for the thoughts on my mum. We've never been close as she hasn't wanted to, so it's expected she behaves like this but still winds me up. Am over it now, thanks for listening :) I have a fantastic MIL so I might ring her today for some maternal affection

Tunnocks good news you get extra care, and for the 15 hours difference meaning you qualify :( at insensitive letter, probably written by someone that's never been in your situation
Velvet sorry to hear your mum isn't great either. My MW said that she can't officially recommend Vicks as it hasn't been fully tested on pg women, but it's 'only menthol and not consumed so couldn't do any damage' I'd already used it a bit Blush but then stopped to be on the safe side. The only things her and the pharmacist 100% said were steam and paracetamol :(
Awesome new Dachs and Envy at your shopping. I wouldn't know where to start. Bit shameful as I worked in Mothercare in my distant student years
Kat congrats! I remember you :) welcome to the mentalling

I've had the first of the uninvited hand on stomachs this week (and yesterday). I thought I would hate, it took me a bit by surprise as I'm not exactly big, but I was ok with it so far

IreneHeron · 27/03/2011 09:05

Kat, welcome to the mentalling zone.

I'm mentalling here too, my sickness is going off. Still a bit wobbly but I'm feeling much better. You'd think that would make me happy wouldn't you, but no it worries me.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 27/03/2011 09:53

orange I didn't buy much - just a couple of cute outfits. With ears Grin

kat welcome :)

nix congrats on mrnix job :)

izzy Glad you're having fun with the guinea pigs, and that you've spoken to dsis. Hope everything starts happening for her soon.

orange sorry about your mum. They can be crap - I no longer even speak to mine, and my MIL is crazy so no great mothering from either of them, so I know how you feel!

banana Don't sorry about feeling unpregnant. I'm 12 weeks and still don't feel even remotely pregnant at all. I don't even have sore boobs.

nina Good luck tomorrow

OrangeGloss · 27/03/2011 11:52

Dachs awww that's so so cute :)

Sorry you don't get that kind if support. I suppose like me you've gotten used to it

HELLO EVERYONE Just popping in to say Hi and trying to catch up!

Izzy Happy Birthday for Friday! I'm glad your sister is taking your happy news well. Lets hope she has some news of her own too very soon eh?

Orange Sorry about your mum - that must be bloody annoying for you. Lovely that your MIL is so nice though. At my end I have sister-in-law from hell but at least I can avoid her most of the time! She has more faces than the town hall clock that one!

Kat Congratulations on the BFP and welcome. I thought the hard bit was getting that BFP but thats when all the worry has started for me - I just find it so hard not to! At least we can all be terrified together on here!

nickstermum lovely to hear of your good news and DH's job offer.

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well and your not mentalling too much! I know the stats say for me "next scan" 30th March but it is actually my FIRST and I AM STARTING TO PANIC. Trying not to but not easy - please everyone keep your fingers crossed for me Smile

Doublediffed and Emoo Good luck with your scans and also
Katherine good luck with your first scan too! If there are any other scanners this week GOOD LUCK!

katherine2008 · 27/03/2011 20:08

Thanks Mattsmama I can't wait to get it done now - I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday too. Like you, feeling panicked, but stoic!! Although not esp looking forward to the fannycam! Fx for all you scanners this week....

Hope everyone had a good weekend - sorry haven't been able to catch up at all, and have been feeling horribly sick all weekend (I was excited at first to feel sick - now just bored of it!).

Hi Kat congratulations and welcome - the cakes round here are very good...

and Nicks if I didn't post before - brilliant news all round!

LaraMi · 27/03/2011 20:28

So good to have joined this thread and see that I'm not the only neurotic one :-). PinkFondant - would you believe it that I am TOO SCARED to buy a digital pg test in case the words "not pregnant" come up!!! However, since Thurs I have done a grand total of FIVE pg tests and every single one has come up positive (not screaming shouting bold lines but definite lines never the less). I went to buy more today Blush but the shop had sold out! I will either brave it and buy some more of a different brand (eek) tomorrow or else not test again until I see my doc on Weds. All very scary but exciting too.

Desperately trying not to feel absolutely petrified that I might MC / have a chemical preg / ectopic pg / MMC etc.

Have spent the entire weekend just sleeping! Am hoping its a pg symptom but imagine it's just a figment of my imagination.

Sorry for the me, me, me post - will read this thread from the very beginning and get to know each and every one of you. So happy to be here and hoping I am privileged enough to stay xx

IreneHeron · 27/03/2011 20:32

Hiya everyone. Hope you've all had a good weekend.

We went to see some friends for the first BBQ of the year. It was really nice, DS and lots of other little boys to play with and it was really warm and sunny, even in Edinburgh. There was even another bloke there who said he'd given up alcohol for lent so I was in good company for not drinking because that was also my excuse. Then my stupid, big mouth gave the game away when talking to my friend who is ttc and was talking about birth for some reason. Why did I say 'oh for this one I'm hoping for a vbac'. Why? WTF! Brian's fault!

Kat sickness is like that, you hate it when you have it and worry when you don't. Mine's fading a bit, hoping it isn't a bad sign.

IreneHeron · 27/03/2011 20:33

That was Kat for Katherine just to avoid confusion.

Hils74 · 27/03/2011 20:42

Hi Kat2008 I've been lurking, and just keeping up with you all!

Congrats to all the newbies and scanners :)

I've got my booking in app on Thurs, am hoping for a dating scan asap. Am I likely to get one plus a 12 week scan too?

owlbooty · 27/03/2011 20:43

Bloody hell I've eaten so much this weekend I think I might explode.

Lara I too have felt the Digital Fear :) I still maintain those things are evil.

Dachs I must know where you found outfits with ears. Otherwise I will have to sew them on to Owlet's clothing myself as ears on baby outfits are the best thing EVER.

Irene I'm glad Brian is visiting you too; I forgot where I lived when asked in a shop the other day. V.embarrassing.

Kat Hooray and welcome!

owlbooty · 27/03/2011 20:44
IreneHeron · 27/03/2011 21:26

Owl Brian has been a pest. I was introduced to the father of a fairly new friend at DS's nursery the other day. I tried to say something like 'nice to meet you' but my speech just didn't seem to work. Gawd knows what came out, it was some weird, slow gobbledegook. I tried to backtrack and cover it up by saying 'sorry I've just woken up' which just made me look worse, it was 3 pm. I hastily left the playground with ds absolutely mortified.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 27/03/2011 21:41

owl mamas and papas have many outfits with ears Grin

www.mamasandpapas.com/product-once-upon-a-time-all-in-one-hat/s0006895/type-s/

www.mamasandpapas.com/product-once-upon-a-time-romper-hat/s0006896/type-s/

I'd like an all in one with ears but these are the best I've stumbled across so far Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 27/03/2011 22:03

Evening all! kat fabulous to see you! Welcome to the home of mentalling!

dachs I am so pleased you had a good scan and well done for being brave and buying some stuff. You inspired me to get a grip and start thinking about an actual baby too - so I thought I would jump in with both feet and went to the NCT nearly new sale...... Scary place!!! I have got bruises from being rammed with people's pushchairs and buggies. Felt like a bit of a joker because unless stuff was labelled with what it actually is, I had no clue. Still managed to get a maternity denim mini skirt and a couple of cute baby grows/growbag thingies. I was quite strongly drawn to the boy stuff - do you reckon it's a sign?????? Grin I've also bought some maternity clothes online as the stuff in the shops is ruuuubish so I'm hoping it will be nice. Poor credit card. It is scary tempting the jinx pixies but I figure it has to be done sometime.... Confused

velvet my DH is the same - he's getting message now they are to be looked at but definitely NOT TOUCHED!!!

katherine don't worry about fanjocam - it's fine.

mattsmama try not to stress, fingers crossed it will be lovely. I know how stressful having an upcoming scan is though.

Right better clean up the house a bit and get to bed - we've had 2 BBQs this weekend and the house looks like the tazmanian devil has moved in!
