Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Here is a link to the old thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1165866-Freak-out-room-for-those-newly-updiffed-after-MC-to-hold-hands-and-support-each-other-Part-III/AllOnOnePage#24507574

Thanks woke up today feeling faint and then tried to vomit for quite a while at which point dh suggested that going to work was not the best of ideas. So I'm working at home today.

I could get my hospital appt moved to this weds but they'll just tell me everything's ok or try something else which is unlikely to improve things. Plus I'll lose most of a day waiting for the appt. I think I'll manage to wait until 2 weeks time somehow.

Thanks for the sympathy. Dh thinks they're jumping on my stomach which is why I'm feeling sick.

Hey lovely ladies

still no phone call... agggg... need to know....thanks for all the good wishes though...

tunnocks and lara lovely scan news :-)

katherine2008 · 11/04/2011 12:53

still got everything crossed x

LaraMi · 11/04/2011 12:59

Me too Knitter - I strongly believe that no news has to be good news. There's simply no way they'd leave you that long otherwise. Can you call them to chase them?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/04/2011 13:13

Lara - great news!

knitter you must be going mad! I do think you would have heard sooner if it was bad news, but do you have a number you could chase them on, just to save your sanity? Thinking of you xx

MummyAbroad · 11/04/2011 14:38

just a quick wave from me today ladies. Its a bank holiday over here but not for me, I have three sets of students to teach and DH has been working all night and is sleeping it off in the spare room - while DS is desperately trying to prize open the door... I need a couple of extra sets of arms today!

knitter anything yet? have you tried to contact them?

tunnocks glad scan went so well. sorry your bottom isn't so well.

mummya what happened about the cleaner in the end?

i've sent the mw i text asking if she'll have her doppler with her tomorrow, but she must be off as she hasn't rec'd it yet. Do they tend to have them all the time?

Blackkat · 11/04/2011 15:00

Playing catch up Smile

knitter hope you get the call soon xx

tunnocks, katherine, larami so pleased that all the scans went well Grin, Grin, big step of moving onto the list lara!!

banana hope the ms is getting better?

Finally got myself to GP, and discussed relatives note peeking, she said that the midwifery team would make a comment on my notes about it. Have called my consultant to see if I can get an 8 week scan, he's on hols for a week so will find out next. GP puts me at 6 weeks based on last cycle, so not far behind the list, maybe another week before I pluck up the courage.

banana87 · 11/04/2011 15:01

Scan booked tomorrow 10:30am. Am freaking out. At least it's private so no worries about long waits and inattentive sonographers who "don't have time to counsel you".

Knitter Can you call and chase up?

Tunnocks "Liquor level normal"? Hmm Hope your bottom is better soon.

Waves to everyone else!

banana87 · 11/04/2011 15:03

Crossed posted blackkat: It's better-ish, worse in the afternoons and evenings actually. I am getting ready to take an anti-emetic now. Was in bed at 5pm yesterday...

cep · 11/04/2011 15:04

blackkat fx for your dads op this week.

well my symptoms have mostly gone . not really feeling sick anymore, haven't actually been sick for a few days. Am hoping mw will do the doppler tomorrow but part of me is scared that she won't find a hb.

knitter hope you get a call soon, have you tried ringing them?

blackkat glad apt went well and they are putting a comment on your notes. Are you still going to speak to your rellies too? And i second cep good luck wishes for your dad.

banana well done on booking a scan, good luck.

cep let me know how you go with the mw and doppler. I have booked to go away to Belfast with 2 friends - one a colleague - the weekend after i get back from Scotland. Didn't think the dates through at all when agreeing so I'll only be about 11wks, so won't have had my dating scan so am scared to death of telling them and of anything going wrong whilst away. Still not decided on a private scan but was also thinking that a doppler fix with the mw might give me enough reassurance. Good luck tomorrow.

I know I am in good company when i say this but i just keep getting overwhelming feelings of being scared and petrified. Usually set of by nothing in particular. Spent this morning lurking in the mc threads too, just feeling so sad and convicnced i'll be back there soon. Sad MIL keeps saying we should relax and try to enjoy the pg but i just don't know how.

LaraMi · 11/04/2011 15:29

OMG - am freaking out... My doc said that Beconase nasal spray is fine to take and so as I have super bad hayfever, have been taking it liberally. Now my sis just emailed me telling me it's harmful... Gahhhh! Please tell me that I've not been doing any serious damage. As for everyone else, is there anything else anyone recommends for hayfever that is SAFE?!

Cep - don't worry, am convinced you will be fine!

lara just got this off net dr "This medicine should be used with caution during pregnancy, and only if the expected benefit to the mother is greater than any possible risk to the developing baby. Seek medical advice from your doctor. " and as you got advice from your dr would have thought it was ok.

collie will do. and i'm the same hon, except i can't bring myself to look in the mc threads.

tunnocks i'll try but can't promise anything. Grin i think either way i'll worry until 12 week scan, if i manage to hear a hb then it'll give me a little bit of peace.

owlbooty · 11/04/2011 15:54

This is the beginning of everyone telling you what you should and shouldn't be doing, y'know Grin So I shall start: Ignore your sister, listen to your doctor and Collie for the love of god stay away from the mc threads - no good will come of this. Oh and if anyone tells you to 'relax and enjoy the pregnancy' you are legally entitled to stick prawns up their nose. Grin

cep honestly - this is exactly when symptoms start easing off. Do not fret. Remain calm. I would put money on the MW not doing a doppler just because it's so early in terms of reliably finding anything and they won't want to freak you out further. It can't be that long until your 12 week scan - did they give you a date for it yet?
