This is a continuation of the "More ongoing and continuing conceptions and follicling ahead of Feisty, Fabulous Forty somethings"

I thought I would keep the title short as there are so many long ones out there.

I thought I would start the new thread so that you don't forget me Grin

jolls you are a super shagger! Go girl.... give me a J... give me an O etc etc

lou I hope your cycle gets sorted out soon and AF arrives (if you are positive that you're not preggers). I have heard that the odd cycle where you don't ovulate is normal.

muchlove lucky for you that your post didn't get lost - that would have been a cyber-crime. Good luck with the monitored cycle.

BB FX for you this month - sod vietnam!!

diege sorry about the BFN - it is still a bit early though. Enjoy the marking.

I used to temp but gave up on it. I was just too obsessed and caught up in it all (eg. dreaming about waking and taking temp) or one of the boys would have a nightmare and I'd jump out of bed rush to them and then realise it was 5.30 am and I didn't now have 3 hours of unbroken sleep before taking temp etc. I much prefer not keeping up so much with what CD i'm on - but I do still like the old OPK's.

Biscuit Biscuit's are a bit tender and odd but hey ho - we've all heard that before Grin.

Just watched One born every minute and sobbed all the way through (good tears not sad ones - I just love watching the pushing stage Hmm).

curly ??????

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 12:27

Just had a look at Susan's blogg and we're on there. Have a read it's dead nice.Grin

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 12:37

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 13:02

what CD are you now Curly????

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 13:08

cd29 sorry am keeping it short as at work

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 13:38

Wow - that's a long cycle for you isn't it???? Cannot believe how well you are holding out. diege would have tested weeks ago Grin.

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 13:45

Yes unusually so. But mother nature changes the rules when you least expect it, I so want to test but will wait until Friday....I think. Well I may not wait as ordered some tests yesterday afternoon, so they may be on the door mat when I get in from work. Sorry to run but in open plan office and don't want anyone to peer over my shoulder and be nosey. Catch up with you all soon mwah.

louisesh · 01/02/2011 13:51

Oh Curly big fx for you sounds good Smile

Forgot to say HI to Busy X

Muchlove your message is lovely.I m still having reflexology once every 2 weeks yes, its lovely.I know everything you say is right as my mum keeps saying it is only 3 months since Georgie.SadSorry you ve been down also!!! We all seem to have had a "WTF" month apart from Curly who s going to save it for us!!!!!! Am trying to remain chilled that this is just 1 of those odd months i m out of synch.[funnily enough last time it happened ,as far as i know , was 2 years ago but also in January. For some reason my cycle doesn t like January!!!]

Jolls well done!!! You re chasing my record!!!

BB think i ll stick to opk s then.Temping sounds like it would increase my stress levels at the moment!!!

Hippy have read Susan's blog a couple of days ago.

Right i have a plan of action [this helps me!!!] if no af by next Wed i ll pop in to work get someone to do my beta hcg levels then i know i m not pg [though i know already!!!!] then i ll speak to one of my medical colleagues about any help if not ovulating.I know its only been 1 month and they re not likely to give me clomid but if i have a plan i m pro-active!!!!

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 14:13

curly - don't forget first morning urine will give you the best answer - so don't suddenly cave in and do an evening wee and test. After waiting so long you deserve to get the best possible answer Grin

lou I'm sure you are fine. You defo ovulated last month cos you had the CP. I agree with muchlove that no-one would put their body through pregnancy 3 months after a birth in normal circs but totally understand why you cannot and will not wait. You'd better step up your game next month and really sex it up a bit - jolls is gonna get the sex siren sash to wear this month!!! Take care, honey.

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 14:21

Even with the Clearblue digital one?? that means I'll have to get up at 5.15am with DH as he won't be happy if I do it without him being there.

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 14:32

i think the main thing is it has to be a good strong sample (nice and yellow - lovely). But i have heard that the hormones are more prevelant in the FMU.

What i would do if it were me would be to save my first morning wee. I often do that when testing - I just pee in a pot and hide it in the bathroom cupboard (with a lid on it). Then when he came home from work I'd do the test. Anyone got any thoughts about that - can the pregnancy hormone evaporate out of the wee????

If not do it of an evening but don't wee for about 3 hours and don't drink anything in that time. Hark at me being so bloody bossy! Good luck - very excited for you.

latestarter2009 · 01/02/2011 17:39

i have to ask jollster, how are you managing to keep up the enthusiasm for so much swi Blush.

i had read your story louise - i don't think any of us who havent experienced somthing so traumatic can understand just what it's like and i hope at least the raw pain of losing georgie is starting to ease...i do get why you would want to go again asap, but if you can take the pressure of yourself for a bit and chill out that would probably be good

congrats diege, what are you studying for?...sorry about the bfn Sad...it definitely helps when you have something else important to focus on.

curly, i have used the clearblue digial pg tests and whilst they are really good for people who need things simple like me, i think they will still work better with stronger wee.....of course if you can hold on for about 4hrs before you get home you should be ok Grin, or like hippy said pee in a pot, i've left if all day and still had positive tests...so think hormone stays in there...does freak the DH out a bit though Grin

gum, are you in aus? i am australian and have just come back from a month at home in sydney with my mum Sad

the more i read about this bistro, the better it sounds, surely with so many crap cycles this month (i dont know if i just ovulated early or am also having an anovulatory month - are they catching?), a quick midweek round of drinks wouldn't be out of order would it?

hippychick66 · 01/02/2011 17:54

You'll be lucky getting that lazy diege to open the bistro mid-week. She often shuts up early or doesn't open at all on a friday - she says she just can't get the staff Hmm.

curly thinking of you - hope it's all good.

Diege · 01/02/2011 18:33

Oooh you cheeky thing Hippy Grin. I'll have it known there is a mid-week bar opening tomorrow night, in the snug annex, serving anything and everything that we may want, doncha know..
Will try and get back later - one more day of standardisation and I will be an exam board drone...

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 18:33

Welcome latestarter! Thanks hippy and late for the tips but tests havent arrived, hopefully tomorrow. Funny (bizarre not ha ha) about the crap cycles this month, well I've had crap cycles since mc last February.....gosh it'll be a year since my mc on the 6th, where did that time go. Not long got indoors, so whilst DD has been scoffing a yoghurt I've done a quick post but off to do some reading, practise her spellings and possibly a quick game of Guess who then her bedtime.

BeattieBow · 01/02/2011 19:26

It's a year today since my mc too. What an odd year it was.

Anyway, waiting for dh to get home so we can shred together. Diet restarts tomorrow (. went out for long lunch today that lasted all afternoon) . Hating the progesterone this time, side effects are quite dramatic Shock

Can't type much on iPad.

Curly please test!!

How many dpo is it good to test at? I am starting to get twitchy hands myself Smile

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 19:55

Ooh BB would you mind telling me more about the progesterone cream, all the nitty gritty of why how where when etc. I'm ashamed to say I do my best to read everyone's messages, then come across things I hadn't heard off which fascinate me but then feel a little Blush to ask about it. Can't test as have no tests indoors used up all my cheapies as you do when you think "oh please please let it be a bfp as I have swi for England and I feel I could possibly be" - and the result is a BFN, then swore I wouldn't buy anymore until af was late. Dh is not in and dd is in bed so can't leave the house to pop out to local supermarket to buy any either. Come on ladies where are you all?

louisesh · 01/02/2011 20:07

I m here Curly in a bewildered and puzzled state want AF as don t need this hassle of awaiting af after a fu*d up month. If af doesn t come how will i know when i m next ovulating.Just told DH this we may have to go back now to swi every 2 days.

Come on AF where are you?????? Don t let my body pack in now.

Ohhhh.....Curly nearly test time yeh!!!

You too BB ???

Curlylox · 01/02/2011 20:20

hey lou whenever I read your posts I say "aaahhh Lou" because I really feel for you I do. Try not to give yourself a hard time easier said than done I know.
We all believe it will happen for you again.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't do the opk, or temping so didn't know if ovulating or not and what with my cycles changing from one month to another i didn't have a clue, in my case ignorance is bliss. Also to be honest the months following the mc, things between Dh and I were very very strained.

BeattieBow · 01/02/2011 21:40

I think I'm 8 or 9 dpo Lou.

curly I use the porgesterone pessaries which you can insert up either orafice. Not pleasant!

I phoned the clinic to get my results of the 21day test today and they wouldn't give me them over the phone. I think they were trying to get me to make an appointment with the doctor to discuss them. that costs money I think. (everything costs money there).

SameOldJollster · 01/02/2011 22:16

BB that doesn't surprise me about the A$$r£. Follow-up consult £130? 6 mins tops...? That's really naughty I think for a one-off piece of info.

curly can we FedEx you a test? Grin

late not a hooooge amount of enthusiasm I'm afraid... am and have been for a while more of a "prefer a cup of tea" girl Wink. DS poorly so am going to sleep in his room tonight, so no SWI. Tomorrow perhaps for #5. And then gangplank up for another month Grin.

Must get to bed, predict an interrupted night ... big wave to all. Lovely day on the TTC after MC thread, 2 lovelies who have had really tough roads, have both had positive scans today - one with TWINS!!!! eeeek....

gumblossom · 02/02/2011 07:40

Hello girls.I'd better post so i don't lose my spot.

I've just swigged down my smoothie of unsweetened grapefruit juice (for more CM),maca powder(super fertility food),vital greens (everything under the sun in that one),inisitol, L-Arginine and colloidal minerals. phew! Didn't taste too bad. And if it gets me up-duffed it will be worth it.

I'm also taking a multi,Vit B6,folic acid and Co Q 10(that's in the morning). Then in the evening I take more multi, more folic acid evening primrose oil and fish oil.

I drink green tea, nettle tea and coffee never passes my lips... HAve I missed anything?

Seriously, is there anything else I should take?

Sometimes I feel quite rebellious and think, "F*%k it, i'm gonna take nothing^", but I'm a wimp and want to do what ever I can to increase my chances of One.Good.Egg.

I read somewhere that seaweed is very good (in Randine Lewis' book I think), but find it very hard to incorporate in everyday food.
I did make chicken stock yesterday and threw in some seaweed for good measure, and it tastes fine.

Oh Curly, I'm itching for you to test.

Sorry I can't do personals, I have to go and pick up DD from the bus stop.

Hi latestarter, how long have you been an ex-pat? I'm in south west australia - just outside a little city called Albany. Sydney is a lovely city.I've only ever had a few days there, but I liked it - it feels like a sunny place. Did you shack up with a Pom?

Well, better run...love to all and big mobs of babydust and lovely bfp's all round.

Deige-putting in early Bistro order.Feel like a very large G&T please - Bombay Saphire of course! And I'll go some chunky wedges with sour cream and chili (I'm on a lowish carb diet and I'm missing the tatties!) Thanks lovey! Smile

BeattieBow · 02/02/2011 09:50

blimey gum that's dedicated. I have just realised that I have forgotten to take my folic acid since ovulation. but that aside I was only taking Vit b6 and agnus castus.

epo made me go a bit loopy.

yes jolls they won't bloody tell me my results! I want to know whether I even need to be taking the progesterone. but presume now that if I am pregnant I have to continue taking it until 12 weeks, or somehow wean my self off it slowly - I read somewhere that stopping taking it suddenly can trigger a miscarriage. no signs of pg here. Had a root around this morning and uterus seems low (if that's a sign). managed to pee this morning before I was tempted to test, and am aiming to wait for the weekend if I get that far. that will take me to 13/14dpo I think.

I will have to go to Vietnam if I'm pg anyway, and that will spawn a whole new set of worries about mc/morning sickness/storing the progesterone etc etc.

curly have you tested yet woman???

louisesh · 02/02/2011 09:52

Still no AF and bfns.....Seems i can t even get this right!!!! Totally pissed off Where's my bloody af??????????????

Will try and post later when hopefully i m in a better mood.Thought af was starting last night as spot of blood!!!!!![and i mean the tiny, tiny spot of blood]but now bugger all.I m beginning to feel its all too much for me maybe Georgie was my only chance???????

SameOldJollster · 02/02/2011 10:02

lou I know it's so hard for you - much love from here. Not sure what I can say to make you feel better, of course I can't guarantee you anything. But I think you have proved you can conceive (x5 is that right?), and as you are still a youngster, you have every chance of conceiving again and having a much more fortunate outcome next time. BUT I know that's just words, you need action :(

BB what I know of prog, is that you should take from ov to CD1, and if no period arrives and you get a BFP you take until 12 weeks when IIRC the body takes over and you no longer need to supplement. Hear what you say about storing prog on travels, wonder if it would be possible to switch to prog tablets at that stage (cream not high dosage enough) but tabs might do it. E knows someone who has prescribed tablets...?

curly what news... ??

Hi all. DS poorly and still cuddled up next to me, so am taking the chance to MN catch up on world affairs...Hmm
