Do you buy new decorations every year for a theme?!

I let the kids decorate the tree… it sometimes has items that are in no way Christmas related in there. 😂

Fgs let's at least get to the end of summer first. Advent starts in December. I do not entertain anything about the C word until then! I've got far more important and pressing things to think about

Our tree green, red and blue. Plus randkm things the (grown up) DC add. One year we had a lego spiderman scaling the tree.

I put our beloved old ornaments on the tree every year. Many of them were made by the DCs themselves.

Same old accumulated crap we chuck up every year. Nothing matches. Lots of it isn't technically Christmas stuff, but there'd be an uprising if I tried to remove the 2012 London Olympics souvenir hackey sack.

I'd love to be able to knit, unfortunately i doubt i'll learn anytime soon

Our 'core' baubles have been the same for a good few years (shades of green, cream and copper) and we add a new special one each year. We've been married for over 40 years and it's such a lovely ritual, putting each decoration on and remembering where we bought it from.

It was easier when we were able to go on holiday because we could often get inspiration from that (or indeed a decoration itself) but we've not been able to get away for a while.

I usually start looking for an unusual one round about this time of year, so this is a timely reminder, thanks @mumofoneAloneandwell !

I have a 'tacky' tree... 90% of the ornaments are tacky and bizaree... I have a large pink car, a glittery guitar and loads of others that i cant remember but are equally weird & not Christmassy at all
